  1. Don't think so. After getting bad motion sickness the 1st time I played it, I've never went back to it. Might do now though if what you're saying helps. Cheers! There's loads of comfort settings in the game menu which you can experiment with, but the one I'm talking about is "Lock camera to cockpit".
  2. In terms of recommendations... The OP's started in probably the best place with Astro Bot. The London Heist (one of the games in VR Worlds) is excellent, but short. Statik is a brilliant puzzle game. Wipeout VR is great. Pinball FX VR is very realistic and is a surprisingly good showcase for VR. Flightwings has a great sensation of flight, though the gameplay is a bit slight. Rush of Blood is really enjoyable. Farpoint isn't the greatest on its own, but worth it if you can get the light-gun bundle cheaply. Edit: I missed out Polybius, which is superb if you like psychodelic Jeff Minter games. Those are the best of the genuine VR games, that I've played. There's lots of smaller scale (or short duration) stuff that is worth a look when on sale like Batman VR, Headmaster etc.
  3. Have you tried the setting where the cockpit remains still but your craft rotates around you? Cuts down a lot of the rocking motion.
  4. Congressmen within the House of Representatives are elected on two-year terms, whereas Senators are elected for six years. The Senate elections are staggered so that they still happen every two years, but with only one-third of the seats up for re-election each time.
  5. I maybe shouldn't have said "glory days", what I really meant was the end of dodgy streaming altogether. The box I buy obviously won't affect that, but I'm mindful of whatever box I buy potentially being redundant in 3/6/12 months because there's no Kodi streams available. For that reason I'm a bit more budget conscious.
  6. What's the current consensus about the best Kodi box to buy? I've got a Firestick but want to upgrade to something a bit better to use on my other TV. Ideally with: Optional Wired Ethernet connection, Ability to install VPN client, 4K Budget is flexible. I am a bit concerned that the glory days of streaming may be coming to an end so I don't want to spend a massive amount on something that may be useless in a few months. Cheers.
  7. I had problems with choppiness which suddenly started when I got about a quarter of the way through the game. Every conversation was: line of dialogue, pause for 10 sections, line of dialogue ,pause for 10 seconds etc. It resolved itself after a week or so. No idea what caused it (or fixed it), but had no other problems before or since.
  8. Nope. You only lose your stake; cards are safe.
  9. Finally completed the main game; started in earnest end of July and took me 176 hours. Going to give it a rest before starting on the DLC.
  10. I'd say so. There's no missable cards in White Orchard so even if the players die you can still pick up their cards, but you might as well play them. They are all beatable: you just need to get the luck of the draw and avoid beginner mistakes. If you lose, just play them again, hope they get a worse draw/you a better one and don't make the same mistakes again.
  11. Cheers. I'm only at the end of the main game (but completed all available Gwent quests and achievements up to that point), so hadn't realised this. Even so, 19 games at 50 coins winnings only results in maximum potential winnings of 950 coins (reducing by 50 coins for every match you lose).
  12. Doing the Gwent side-quests gets you the same benefits as doing any side-quest (extra story and more experience points), but not really anything else that’s overly worthwhile in the context of the main game. Playing Gwent is really an end to itself (which is why they are releasing a stand-alone Gwent game), rather than for any "rewards" in the main game. There’s a few Gwent-related quests that can net you a bit of money, but aside from those the main reward from winning at Gwent is getting more Gwent cards. After you’ve beaten a person once, and won their card, they will give you a random reward the next time you beat them, but it’s just junk-type items (like wire etc) that you can normally collect (much quicker) by looting. The most you can bet at Gwent is 10 coins, so it’s not an efficient way to earn money either. There's also five Gwent-related Achievements/Trophies, though you need to start Gwent relatively early on in the game to be able to get all of them.
  13. For everyone who's starting out, I'd recommend that you start playing (and, more importantly, winning) at Gwent as opponents come up rather than putting it off till later.
  14. There doesn't seem to be a solution, I've tried clearing the cache etc but no improvement. It just seems to come and go of its own accord.
  15. Do you mean the loading during conversations? If so, I've got the same issue.
  16. Do you mean the loading during conversations? If so, I've got the same issue.
  17. I'm a righty, but I copied my lefty dad's hand-writing style: gripping the pencil/pen so it points away from you and your hand then smudges what you've just written. Strangely the first (and only) teacher to point it out, and query the sanity of me being right-handed but giving myself all the disadvantages of a left-handed writing style, was my Physics teacher in 6th year. Despite me and my wife both being righties, and my dad being the only lefty ancestor we know of in either family, both our kids are lefties.
  18. Firewatch, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Everyone's Gone to the Rapture are all now on sale. If I'm only going to get one (at least to start) what's the one to go for?
  19. They could film the winter Dorne scenes at Santa's Grotto in Braehead and it wouldn't be any less convincing.
  20. Re: the story mode. Is it so bad it's good, or just so bad?
  21. I believe they have shown an interest but stated that they would need to write their own party system from the ground-up, which isn't enough of a priority for them to justify the effort. It can be done (eg Portal 2, War Thunder) but unfortunately isn't going to be happening. We should all protest against MS and Sony. Someone want to make a flag? We could fly it behind the cars.
  22. For anyone who doesn't already know, the Witcher 2 is currently free to download. It's the Xbox 360 version but backwards compatible so it runs on the One. Can be "purchased" either through the 360 or on Xbox.com
  23. I normally defend the IGC offerings, recognising that they can't please all of the people all of the time, and think a lot of the criticism is unrealistic. But this months offering is really poor by any measure; surely their worst ever?
  24. Plants v Zombies was given away by EA due to the 20th anniversary of Playstation. They also gave away Mirror’s Edge on PS3 and Need for Speed on Vita at the same time. I struggle to see EA wanting to diminish their own premium Access service by giving away the same games for free shortly afterwards on PS Plus. I also can’t see Microsoft being happy with their Games with Gold service being denied free EA games, if they are being given away on PS Plus. I could be wrong, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see games from EA Access appear for free on PS Plus some months further down the line, but it just seems too soon for Hardline.
