Naysmith signs him to "provide width" then proceeds to play route one football launching the ball down the middle. Meanwhile a guy called Dykes who has loads of energy but no guile and his second touch is a tackle is selected ahead of Stirling. Beyond me.

Re Scotsport I remember a rangers/sevco/whatever game in the seventies when the commentary was just ahead of the play. Arthur Montford shouts penalty as the ball was crossing the half way line and roars goal before Derek Parlane even strikes the ball. Agree with most of the recent posts but my question remains, ie do we have unrealistic expectations?

Having watched Queens for forty odd years optimism does not come easy. Huge plus today was Dobbie signing a contract extension. Sadly the outlook is not favourable unless we make signings who are capable of making a significant impact. Realise we have players out injured and money remains tight, consequently we are very much on the periphery of the play offs. Attendances have dropped and less income restricts our ability to recruit better players. Falkirk regularly get 4k plus and the Pars last two crowds have exceeded 7k so I guess the question I am asking is maybe, just maybe we are almost over achieving. Thank fuq Brechin are in our league. At no point did I ever suggest that avoiding relegation was an achievement. Was trying to remind people how far we have come. For a very long time we were viewed as a diddy team that is simply not the case now.

Jeezo Flash. You are relentlessly pessimistic. I remember in 2002 after winning the league so many guys came up to me and said what's point you will be instantly relegated. Well ten years later (part time for five of these years) we were still there. One season downstairs, won in the league by 25 points in some style. I'm old enough to remember when we were at the same level as teams like Montrose, Albion Rovers, Stennies and Berwick et all. Trust me we have moved on. s
