  1. 1-1 in August, thanks to a 96th minute QP penalty. Seem to remember thinking Stenny looked fairly decent in those heady early season days. QP's 2-1 victory at the start of the year was almost undoubtedly the worst performance by a winning team I've seen. Stenny could think themselves pretty hard done-by that day, although both sides were grim. So not all that much of a gap in those games, although obviously they were both pre-Haughey's millions.
  2. It was my fault. I commented that given the weather that day it wouldve been good if the stewards had let us get in the ground quickly and waived the usual frisking. It then snowballed from there. Any cans, bottles or snowballs sir?
  3. Agree that Morrison had a great game, his best performance for Queen's so far. Made an excellently timed tackle in the box in the first half that would have resulted in a penalty if he'd got it wrong, won most balls that came his way and was generally solid all round. A word for Sal defensively as well. Great that he scores the goals, but won so many headers in our own box on Saturday that really took the pressure off at corners.
  4. A bit of research, the reason internet at work was invented, suggests that it made its competitive debut in this debacle, a full 6 and a half years ago. Sterling service. The team that day was: Brown, Gebbie, Spittal, Keenan, Grier, Rooney (Davison), Capuano, Anderson (McVey), Vitoria, Quinn, Burns A line-up to strike fear into the heart of all Queen's fans.
  5. This is the best thing I've read on this forum
  6. We've done not bad in shitey conditions the past couple of weeks. Same for both teams, and all that bollocks.
  7. Oh come on. It was an inspirational tale of six men's heroic struggle against the establishment. Children will speak their names in reverential tones for decades to come.
  8. I saw them searching a wee lassie's rucksack the other week. She could only have been about 4 years old. I couldn't believe it. For me its not about the hassle as such, as it isn't all that much of a hassle as Ben's pointed out, but the treatment of football fans as people who are to be viewed with suspicion that goes back to Thatcherite attempts to demonise normal folk who just want to go along to games.
  9. If it hadn't been for ridiculous late on saves from Muir Queen's would have taken 2 points from the last three league games rather than 7. Can put up with the occasional flap for that. Oddly enough, when the boy Rae you've got just now played a couple of games as a triallist for us earlier in the season I thought one of his strengths was cross balls but he seemed to struggle a bit too yesterday.
  10. Looked like he knew how to score a goal but wasn't all that fussed about doing it a lot of the time. Will be forever remembered for battering one in from 10cm out away to TNS.
  11. I don't know. The 1-0 defeat at Central Park in May 2016 is certainly up there in my all-time top 3 1-0 defeats.
  12. I wouldn't joke, mate. I saw them searching a wee lassie's rucksack before the Stenny game, she could only have been about four.
  13. If it was just offers then that photo they released last week becomes increasingly peculiar.
  14. If Queen's hadn't woefully underestimated how many tickets we'd sell then Killie would have been able to provide sufficient pies for all. The empire biscuits with the QP badge were a nice touch mind.
  15. Absolutely. Hopefully we can make a game of it and maybe even nick a goal at a time when it means something for a bit of fun, but if Killie don't win then there's something far wrong. Ultimately its something different to do and a laugh, but the real big game is next week.
  16. If anyone can get Bizarre Love Triangle into this I'll give them 50p
  17. Yes, no doubt a fine time will be had by all.
  18. We have to resist the temptation just to bring in anyone. I suppose we need to have true faith in those in charge of recruitment.
  19. Heard from a Hibs fan that he's off to Raith Rovers for the rest of the season. Don't know how much truth there is in that.
