  1. A few years ago I had to go to a place called Hattersley, just outside Manchester. Its big claim to fame is that Myra Hindley lived there.
  2. Into Morrisons and tan a carry out at the park? Is there not a bowling club nearby?
  3. 2012/13 play-off semi final 2nd leg away to Peterhead
  4. Totally. I've no doubt the boy who played the other night has talent and will hopefully go onto great things for Queen's, but its one thing playing in that match, its quite something else to play away at Stenny or Annan on a dark and wet Tuesday night in March when we need the points. I'd be more comfortable having an experienced keeper as cover. If it takes him a few months to get fit then fair enough, its better he's doing that with us and hopefully helping the young lads at the same time.
  5. What I was told by someone who spoke to him shortly after he signed was that having been out of the game for a couple of years he'll mainly be working on his fitness over the next few months until he's at a level to compete for a first team place, or at least provide cover for Muir.
  6. Little only gets called by his surname as there's continuing dubiety over how to pronounce Creag.
  7. Mind Gerry Crawley said at the meeting last week that we lost out on £2000 by not winning the penalty shoot-out against Airdrie the previous night, so there'd seem to be financial incentives for points as well. Not sure though.
  8. Gus was always Gus. Don't think it matters really. It's when folk call Alfie Archie that we need worry. Anyway, Stirling v QP.
  9. Because it's easier to remember how to pronounce and spell their first names. I don't think there's any insistence about it.
  10. Has been hailed as reminiscent of a young Didier Deschamps in some quarters.
  11. When I was wee one of the things that made the biggest impression on me was the barrage of filth and abuse that I heard at football matches. That encouraged me to want to go to games as much as anything. Kids don't need to be wrapped up in cotton wool, they tend to think its hilarious to see adults acting like idiots in a (semi) controlled environment like a football match.
  12. I liked the bit where Gerry Crawley broke that guy's back over his knee and chucked him down the lift shaft.
  13. Aye, there's been a fair bit of chat about it on this thread if you look back a couple of weeks. I'm sure there'll be more to come.
  14. Oh absolutely. I wasn't having a go at them. I was just surprised to see Dooflick writing about a young committee man and wondering who it could be. I'm sure we're all grateful for the experience they bring to the club.
  15. It would be a struggle to describe any of the committee as young (no offence, etc etc)
  16. Looking forward to weekly updates on Jamie McKernan's tubbiness throughout the season
  17. I might be wrong about this, it's been known, but I think the pricing has been agreed at £12 and £6 for all games in our group.
  18. Wasn't there, but a 2-0 win for Queen's according to Hurlford's Twitter. Missed two penalties as well. No scorers or team news, I'm sure someone who was there can fill in the blanks.
  19. Cheers mate. Tommy Block signed for Hibs in January this year from Bognor Regis, I know he was quite well thought of there. Played in the development/reserve team for Hibs after signing, hasn't made a first team appearance so far.
  20. Imagine if all the teams that pumped us last season had actually been trying. Jeezo.
  21. If Dooflick means mid-week games, I can only think of two home games at Airdrie which weren't on a Saturday - a Friday game against Berwick in the Challenge Cup at the start of 2014/15 then a Tuesday or Wednesday League Cup tie against Rangers a month or so later. I know I got the bus from outside the club for the Berwick game so I don't think it would have gone through the town, can't remember for the Rangers game.
