  1. No asterisk so I'll answer the post properly.(mind you the pitch is only around 120yds (larn yersel .....appendices) Don't you think it must be the managers instructions to play that particular ball. I think the old "hoof and chase" is OK once and a while I suppose Martin will give us an extra 5yds of distance as he has 2 or 3 stone more power behind his kick. As you might not have noticed in my previous post it's a pretty safe ball to play and all down to the law of averages. Personally I'd prefer to see us play out from the back,
  2. Someone's had the larn yersel to be a football manager book out. Sounds great in theory but mist managers at this level tend to want to hump the ball as far as possible, hope for a knock on or challenge the defenders clearance header. It's damage limitation ,at worst you lose possession in the opponents half or get be a throw in away in as safe area. It's a Shame managers don't try and play out from the back ,even the odd time.
  3. We should still be seeing a solid performance with what should be the basis of this seasons team. Plus it's nice to win, Personally think we should have had at Least one team against us that from a higher level
  4. I think we've just about exhausted this topic now so can I finish with the following. I didn't say the manager would but said could. Your previous reply has been in response to a question that wasn't asked. Can I also say for future it's worthwhile reading posts until you fully understand the content rather than see what you want to see. Furthermore can I pose another question to you. This may appall you but, have you ever checked reviews when buying online or trip advisor for holidays, revoo for products etc . You may not be aware of this but these are sites that allow previous customers to voice there opinions in order to help potential buyers making the right choice. Now the only reply I'd like to hear from you now would be "thanks for your help and guidance and sorry for incorrectly reading your last post" Then again you do seem the type that like to have the last word. I rest my case. New topic Queens or Annan tonight
  5. I know it's so annoying ,some people just need to have the last word. They just can't let it drop. Anyway queens chances tonight ?
  6. Oh is that right ,you are so knowledgeable. As I mentioned it was meant as a gesture of sarcasm , I should have realised that not many could see that.(It's sad that I even have to explain that) However, Football is a little different my friend , you see companies outside of football would not generally have a site where you plaudit or criticise there employees for anyone to see. In which case you could not find out people's opinions of the quality of there work. Could you answer me this question then , Don't you think it conceivable that posters on this site check other clubs posts when a player is signed from there club in order to find out what there previous supporters think. SO why shouldn't a manager check a site out if he's in any doubt about a player, I probably would That's strange that as I am called Robinsonn, but as you can see it's double n.*
  7. Ouch, now I'm getting a feel for the type of person you are, tick that one off the list. Queens or Annan tomorrow?
  8. Oh dear, a far better reaction that I could ever have wished for. Did you know they've taken the word "naive" out of the Collins dictionary
  9. When you say "where" I've been going wrong ,where were you at the time. Anyway enough nonsense Kirky my boy Let's change topic . Do you fancy our chances tomorrow at Annan
  10. Use your intelligence (but for you I'll put a little asterisk against the sarcastic bits *)
  11. Yep just like employers check on social media sites such as facebook before recruiting. But maybe you weren't aware of that By the way it was said in a bout of sarcasm but maybe It went straight over your head, Measure twice ,cut once
  12. That's all I Need Kirkys setting his big brother onto me . I admire a person who can think for himself. Besty, as I explained in an earlier post is in respect of that wonderful footballer George best(I've always had an eye for talent) As far as Naysmith is concerned Yes I have met him personally and yes I don't like what I've met. What he has achieved at the club to date hasn't changed my opinion of his capabilities. His stats are poor yet he's still gainfully employed. If he's still here in Jan I will be the first to say I Was wrong Sounds like I've came across perfectly. So What's your problem.
  13. Come on let's be realistic. All that any potential club manager looking to sign him needs to do is look on this forum. He will never get a job. If I was him I Just wouldn't take the risk , money first then pride
  14. Hi Kirky(I hope it is your first name) , correct me If I'm wrong but you don't like Robinson. You've obviously know him personally and dislike him, or does It Just come across that way. Again can I appeal to common sense (big assumption but) assuming you have a job and someone says to you you can come in a couple of days a week and we will give you a full weeks pay, you can have every Saturday off. What would you do 1.walk away from the job and then look for another one. bearing in mind the manager probably won't have a good word for you Or 2. Say thank-you very much see in a few days time hope you win on Saturday. Durrrrrrh
  15. Dobbie is a little different ,don't you think?. There would be a supporter/director revolt if they tried to get shot of him. Use a bit of common.
  16. I'm sure 6 months suits both parties. Puts Dale in the shop window and the club get as good luck at him the see how he hits in . I liked him when he played the whole team looked more attacking.
  17. I don't think you can put Dobbie into the equation. Carmichael will be playing for buttons and will be a bit part player .so I wasn't far away Naysmith's bringing in his "yes men" Double agent Rankin will never see the season out as captain. he flatters to deceive. Can't see Robinson wanting a club , paid holidays take some beating .maybe the next window If he gets bored I suppose see if the gaffers still around.
  18. Well said There's no consistency in the managers decisions, barring Lyle he's got shot of anyone with any history with the club. Anderson,Dowie,Hamil ,Atkinson Robinson,Higgins, Basically anyone with experience and an opinion. It should be an interesting season if nothing else. Not sure about his player choice or His man management skills, only time will tell.
  19. No need to panic , the gaffer will have a perfect explanation to why we didn't (need to ) win . He already put excuses in place in his pre season summary.
  20. That's true but Its The same for both teams ,so you would expect the stronger squad to come out on top. Conceding 3 goals is never good no matter who you are playing against. Let's see we hat happened next game
  21. Ha,Mr negative rides again Do you know football or just controversy? God help you family and acquaintances
  22. He was great at queens the first part of the season , the only one who could carry the ball out if midfielders. I think he was rushed Back from injury in a desperate attempt from the manager to win a game. He will do a good job for St mirren
