  1. Based on no scientific evidence whatsoever 1. Dundee Utd 2. Partick 3. Raith Rovers 4. Queens Park 5. Dunfermline 6. Inverness 7. Ayr 8. Arbroath 9. Airdrie 10. Morton
  2. I'm actually looking forward to the new league season. I'm not expecting the dizzy heights we attained in the first part of last season but I'm certainly not expecting anything like the woeful performance towards the end. We have some good new talent coming through and we do need an 'extrovert' who is able to inspire others out on the field. We've got a few exciting prospects and its will be interesting to watch how they develop under the Beuker/Veldman partnership.
  3. I was a bit annoyed that the donors wall disappeared too. I put money into that as well and it was nice for my kids to be able to point out to their pals their dad's name up there with Sir Alex. Sometimes I wonder if the alienation of the old supporters is deliberate but they're not doing a lot to build a sustainable fan base. The tickets for schools is a brilliant idea but that will take a while to bed in and we will need to do something for the parents who (hopefully) will pick up with their kids new found interest in QP.
  4. I wasn't at the game but the stats do give some hope. Got to convert the shots to goals and shore up the defence so we don't let in the opposition get shots in - they had four on target but two of them went in. Need to do a lot more with our possession.
  5. The guys on the pitch seem to use Cam - worth checking out with the cognoscenti.
  6. Cam Bruce has impressed me every time I've seen him - very mature player for his age and puts everything into the match. Great prospect.
  7. He put in a fair shift in that game and was completely knackered at the end. I thought he did really well.
  8. He'd be an asset to you - cool, calm player but maybe the rough and tumble of the Premiership might constrain him a bit with a little less time on the ball. I'd still see him as being a positive signing.
  9. Met the young guy at a pre season event at Lesser - he's a great lad with bags of enthusiasm. He'll do well wherever he ends up. His time at Bayern Munich has really helped him, he thinks.
  10. The SFA in no way "bailed out' QP - it was a deck loaded entirely in their favour. I'm aware that other clubs sold their soul to supermarket chains. If I remember right, St Johnstone got a great deal from Asda for Muirton. I lived in Dunkeld at the time and loved going to that ground.
  11. I understand that, and there are many great fans of all teams on here. However, we must recognise the other side too - the insecure fans that go on to other teams pages to try and take the Michael. Fair comment is good but sometimes comments are just plain nasty with no basis in reality. Discussion good - abuse bad. Thanks for your comment, foreverarover
  12. Don't be silly - we could never catch up on Morten.
  13. £5m for Hampden is not a good deal in anyone's books. QP were indeed shafted by the SFA. Sure, we could have said no to the deal, and died as a club. The truth of the matter was accept the deal or go out of business. We chose the red pill.
  14. lol ... a rich owners plaything. ... .... ... when they're owner leaves (sic) Carry on.
  15. The change of accounting period was approved by members at an EGM on 5 July. As you point out, a June 30th accounting date is sensible for a football club to use.
  16. Being back at Victoria Park today reminded me of when they were promoted in 2012 (I think) and had to make their stadium all seated. They did this for the away stand (old terracing) over the summer break. They also put seats in the Jail End, extended the East Stand and relayed the pitch. Over summer!
  17. He had a really solid game today. Seemed have grown in confidence.
  18. Nicked this - shows the subs too. Some County guy saying the average of their starting 11 was 22? Not sure about that.
  19. Good work out for the guys today and a great result. Played pretty well against a big physical County team but were occasionally bullied off of the ball. County were probably the better team early on but the first three or four chances came to Queen's and their keeper was busier than Calum. The County goal came after sustained QP pressure and a break upfield saw Murray on a one to one with Ferrie. Keeper came out to meet him but Murray pushed the ball round him and went on the score into an empty net. Second half was better from Queen's with us having bit more of the ball and both goals were well worked. Both Thomson and Paton took their chances well. Still playing the ball out from the back each time and sometimes I just want to see the ball booted upfield as County started to crowd us out a bit at the back. Spong, Turner, Bruce and Paton all looked good with each of them putting in a fair shift. Bruce looked completely knackered at the end as he gave it his all. Didn't see much of Hepburn as he was only brought on during the second half - what he was involved in looked good so we've done some good signings over the close season if we can keep this up. A pleasing result even if it was a pre-season friendly.
  20. As I understand it, we were not allowed to build terracing as it is deemed a 'new ground' by the SFA so had to be all seated.
  21. He had a really good game - played well in very hot conditions.
  22. County's season ticket prices are very good for the premier never mind the championship. And for under 18's it's a whopping £60! Hhmmmm......
