Is McBeth suspended for that game? Today was his 6th booking since he signed which is quite an impressive feat for someone who arrived in January. I know in England you have to collect a certain amount of bookings by the first half of the season then it's doubled but again the only SFA rulebook I can find dates from 2017-18 and says 6 at any point in the season is a 1 game suspension but I have something in my head saying that's changed.

edit: Graham got 6 bookings in the league last season but didn't appear to miss any games because of them

If you get 6 yellows in the first 18 games of the Championship season, it would result in a one match ban served seven days later. As we're in the second 18 games of the season, Luke would need to get 12 yellows to get a two match ban served from seven days later - this does include the playoffs.

Show him on 5 Championship yellows, so that would be a no. He needs a sixth one in or before the 18th match, at which point he misses the first Championship match that occurs 14 or more days after the sixth yellow.

Edit: Found another source (Zen Archer), indeed shows six. He’ll miss the Pars match on 23 Dec (14 days after the sixth yellow), unless it gets moved to 22 Dec, then he’d miss the Rovers match on 30 Dec.

Correct, The SFA Extranet shows Tam O'Brien has picked up six cautions the last being last Saturday. He'll miss Saturday's trip to Inverness though as the ruling was changed this summer to be seven days after the sixth yellow rather than 14 days.

What positions do Turay and Taggart play so I can add them to the squad list? I know diack is a CF

Just to reiterate my dislike of this league cup group stage, we (and everyone else) shouldn't have to have a squad ready for competitive games in mid July. If everyone is fit we should have enough to see off Peterhead and Spartans but the United / Falkirk games will likely determine whether we get through the group and a potentially lucrative cup run if we get the right draws.

Turay is a striker. Jamie Taggart is a right winger.

There isn't a conspiracy or anything but that's now seven years in a row our last regular season fixture has been away from home, not even as if we've had first fixture at home to compensate every year either (eg last year)

Asked on QP thread about why our first visit to Hampden is a Friday as unlikely that TV picks made this far in advance.

SWNT are playing at Hampden on 31st October so it will be to do with that and prepping Hampden for that game(more from a logistics and installation of advertising and cameras point rather than anything pitch related).

Sorry G, but can they be posted out or would it be collection only? I appreciate that could come down to when received too.

They'd have been as well selling them from their portacabin, but I know it's a long time since we played them, up there.

Tickets need to be collected but any tickets that are not collected will be taken to Dingwall so could be collected there.

I'm not sure if tickets unsold will be taken up to Dingwall to re-sell at portacabin but will ask.

I’m assuming there’ll be no chance of getting the ticket posted out and I’ll need to come collect it?

It should be fine either way (providing I can get one after ST holders sale) but just wanting to check so I leave time on Thursday.

Tickets need to be collected but any tickets that are not collected will be taken to Dingwall so could be collected there. The Offices will be open until 7:30(realistically meaning 7:30 is the last time you can join the queue, if any.

Has there been any talk in the club about opening either of the bars to show the game for those not going to Dingwall? Would be good for the club to earn a bit of money from fans and good for the fans to be at Firhill if we were to win the play-off....

The Aitken Suite will be open from 12:30.

    We haven't received tickets yet.

The earliest they will go on sale is 1pm - dependent on receiving them in the morning to allow us to set up the sales.

If they don't arrive in the morning - they will go on sale pretty much immediately. Either in person or through the office phonelines. Both options will be available until 8pm on Wednesday and will re-open at 10am on Thursday.

At 2pm on Thursday, the season ticket restriction is lifted and a general sale will be available for all supporters. Tickets will continue to be available at the Offices until 7:30pm allowing fans.

If tickets remain, we will continue to sell them on Friday.

    11 minutes ago, jagsfan57 said:

I was reading the statement to mean that once the tickets are received, you could buy them through your ST account or physically at Firhill.

You can only purchase physically at Firhill or through the office phonelines. There won't be any online sales but you can present your season ticket digitally(through your mobile device if that's how you use it).

Amazing stats flooding out all over right now and most of the post-Somerset updates are now in place at the Archive →

    :detective:  JAGGERNAUT

    ● 100 years from the first competitive encounter, Thistle meet Ayr United for the 150th time.
    ● Now 339 days long, 2022-23 becomes the longest season ('All Games') on record. The previous record (338 days) was set in 1889-90. And it's not done yet ; - )
Jack McMillan reaches 50 competitive appearances in season 2022-23. He's only the second Jag to do so this century, following on from Grant Murray (51) in the promotion-winning season of 2005-06.
    ● Thistle have now scored in EIGHT consecutive first halves; you need to rewind to August 1971 to find a longer run (9).
    ● Bizarrely, 3 of Jack McMillan's 5 goals for the club have been scored in the last 4 games, all in the play-offs.
    ● It's now 12 direct goal involvements in his last 9 games for the incredible Scott Tiffoney who will now seek to register a counter in a 10th consecutive game in which he's appeared. His second goal of the night was his 25th goal for the club, all scored in competitive action.
Jack McMillan (12) and Kyle Turner (13) now sit 2nd and 1st with the highest assist tallies of any Jag in the last 10 seasons, and it's a fascinating battle between the two for this season's crown.
Kris Doolan's Jags have now scored two or more goals in seven consecutive competitive matches. You need to rewind to December 1967 to find a longer run (8, by Willie Thornton's boys). Jaggernaut.
    ● With their 3rd 'total football' goal of the night Partick Thistle FC set a new Scottish goals record for same-season play-off games, overtaking Forfar Athletic's 13-goal tally of 2016-17. The new record sits at 16 goals - where will it end?
    ● The maestro who is Steven Lawless hits the 44 competitive goals mark for Partick Thistle and enters the All-Time Top 50 goals chart. It's amazing to have two Jagsmen on the ascent simultaneously in the higher echelons - keep an eye on their progress in our illustrated chart from hereon.
Kevin Holt hits the 9 goal mark for 2022-23 and is the highest scoring Thistle defender since Scott McCulloch notched 10 in the promotion-winning season of 2005-06.
    ● The 5-0 scoreline sets a brand new away-win record in the H2H between these clubs.
    ● 3 consecutive wins to nil is a first for the season, and means that Partick Thistle match the Scottish record for successive wins to nil in the play-offs in any given season. 3-in-a-row was only ever achieved by Cove Rangers in 2018-19. No team has ever kept 4 clean-sheets in any given campaign.
    ● Partick Thistle match the Scottish record for successive wins in the play-offs in any given season. 4-in-a-row was first achieved by Cove Rangers (2018-19) then Kelty Hearts (2021-22).
Ian McCall/Kris Doolan's Jags become the 6th highest scoring Thistle team of all-time, now with 98 goals in all competitions 2022-23. It's the highest tally since Davie McParlands's Jags hit 100 goals in 1970-71. You can compare all seasons in our sortable results tables.
    ● We thought Alan Archibald's 1 defeat in 21 competitive matches would never be seen again at the start of a Partick Thistle manager's reign, but Kris Doolan is having a right good go with 1 defeat in 17 and counting…

    ongoing sequences:
    ● 7 competitive home games without defeat; 4th Mar 2023 to date. (Longest run since: 7 games; 20th Mar 2021 to 29th Apr 2021. Club-record: 24 games; 5th May 2001 to 17th Aug 2002.)
    ● 10 competitive games without defeat, 1st Apr 2023 to date. (Longest run since: 10 games, 10th Apr 2013 to 16th Aug 2013. Joint club-record: 16 games, 15th Nov 1975 to 21st Feb 1976 & 30th Sep 2000 to 13th Jan 2001.)
    ● 50 consecutive competitive appearances for Jack McMillan, 9th Jul 2022 to date, a new personal best. (Longest run since: James Penrice - 51 games, 7th Sep 2019 to 10th Apr 2021. Club-record: Johnny Jackson - 313 games, 28th Aug 1926 to 25th Mar 1933.)

A small amendment needed to add in Charlie Albinson's 27th minute yellow card for dissent. He was issued it in the middle of the second goal celebrations, so it's understandable that it maybe hasn't been widely reported through your usual sources but it was definitely issued as per referee report.

I suspect the title will be beyond us even if we do win, but this is still important as second place and not having to play the first round of the playoffs is also quite a big advantage.

Although an oddity this year is that the Championship finishes on May 5th but the Premiership because of the World Cup break doesn't finish until 28th May with the playoff finals taking place on 1st and 4th June (hence our contract whoopsie coming to light a few weeks back)

If they play the 3rd vs 4th and winner of that vs 2nd playoffs in the normal timescale the Championship team in the final would be sitting idle for 12/13 days which I can't see being allowed to happen.

We should really have taken 9/9 vs Dundee this season so hopefully we can keep that up- McAvoy looked to take a bad one yesterday when Robbie Muirhead fell on him, doubt we see him again soon if at all, and Aaron Muirhead also went off injured in the first half so could be down to two centre halves for this one. Though we did win the first game of the season with one centre half and Kyle Turner at right back, so you never know.

The 4th v 3rd playoff will take place on weekend 13th May(first leg) and weekend 20th May(second leg)

The semi final will be 23rd May and 27th May.

    Final - 1st and 4th June

All subject to the usual tv picks.

Post-match updates in place Dundee 1 Partick Thistle 3 →

:detective:  BRIAN GRAHAM INTO THE ALL-TIME TOP 50

    ● Thistle have led Dundee at half-time in all 3 League games this season.
    ● With his latest brace, Brian Graham (now on 44) moves into the all-time Top 50 competitive goals chart, overtaking Gerry Britton who was previously 50th with 43 goals.
Harry Milne notches his 5th goal of the season, good going from the left-back position. 3 of these have came against Dundee. He scored his first Thistle goal at home to the Dark Blues and his latest away to them.
Kris Doolan is the 7th Partick Thistle manager to remain unbeaten in his first 3 competitive matches, and is the first to do so since Alan Archibald in 2013.
Kris Doolan has won 7 away points in 3 games. This compares favourably to Ian McCall's 10 away points all season!
    ● Thistle have won 5 of their last 7 games at Dens Park. The overall H2H is currently running 15 games without a draw.

    ongoing sequences:

    ● 36 consecutive competitive appearances for Jack McMillan, 9th Jul 2022 to date, a new personal best. (Longest run since: Jamie Sneddon - 41 games, 28th Aug 2021 to 9th Jul 2022. Club-record: Johnny Jackson - 313 games, 28th Aug 1926 to 25th Mar 1933.)

I spotted a couple of very small errors in the latest match hub for the Dundee game, which I know you’ll want to be 100% accurate.

On the post-match quotes you’ve attributed them to ‘caretaker manager Ian McCall’

Harry Milne’s goal was scored in the 80th minute(as per referee report) rather than the 84th.

Scott Tiffoney and Brian Graham’s exits from the pitch are the wrong way round(Tiffoney was originally signalled to go off by the sub board but Brian came off instead as he was gubbed and Tiffoney followed a few moments later).

    Harry Milne wasn’t booked.

I see Docherty was sent off in the Glasgow Cup today, don't know if that means he's out of this or whether it's reserve games only- might depend what he was sent off for.

Ross Docherty was already suspended for this tie as a consequence of his red card against Kelty Hearts in the last round.

His suspension today will only apply to City of Glasgow Cup ties.

Onto a rant. Brian Graham is a very good striker at this level but the way he goes in elbows flying needs to be clamped down by officials.  He injured big Efe and also caught O'connor too. I don't mind a bit if afters at the end of the game however I'd have rather seen the likes of Grimshaw deal with Graham during the game.

Brian Graham wasn’t involved in the incident that saw Efe Ambrose get injured.

    Away kit. Any reason why?

    5 hours ago, Fuctifano said:

Assume both our kits clash with your home, which is a massive bugbear of mine when other teams do it so can't make any exception for us

There was no clash. Arbroath simply chose to wear the white kit, they could have worn their home kit if they wanted to. We had originally selected our silver goalkeeper kit so switched to blue to accommodate.

  13. 7 minutes ago, Ludo*1 said:

Yeah, the faculty of online sales has nothing to do with us since Partick Thistle claimed their allocation and are dealing with it themselves.

Our ticketing system is a disgrace tbh, but in this instance it's nothing to do with us.

Let's be clear here - PTFC didn't request tickets from Dundee for this game. We were sent tickets by Dundee FC for advance sale because we were told there was NO online purchase available for our supporters to purchase.

We were also informed, a number of weeks ago, that there WAS going to be a pay at the gate option but that position subsequently changed this morning.

We tried to sign Ross Stewart when he was leaving st Mirren and I heard a rumour that a stumbling block was we didn’t want to pay compensation to st Mirren

    This isn’t correct.

You’ve posted a number of times on here in the last few months about the board being tight and not supporting the manager at the time(whether McCall, Caldwell or Archibald), which isn’t true either - maybe don’t believe every rumour which is spread about.
