I enjoy it, tbh, adds some freshness to the league. Same managers at the same teams leads to everyone knowing everything about the other so just sees games cancelled out
Your biggest worry about Aitken should be us. We love a young manager who gets the most from a limited budget. Would be a huge jump, but our last four managers haven't managed to full time clubs before us.
Depends. If he has a release clause in his contract you can't stop him if Rangers match it. No clause and you can ask what you want unless he resigns. I'd be squeezing every fucking penny possible from the fuckers. Bleed them dry and hand them an absolute shitebag as a manager. Win win.
Couldn't have been a more subtle "put up or shut up" statement if they'd tried. Hope Aberdeen fans are prepared for another week of hounding from the media before Rangers up their up by a tenner
I dunno. A squad of Lewis, Logan, Arnason, CB, Shinnie, McLean, O'Connor, Stewart, Christie, GMS and May is more than good enough for second, McInnes just is utilising them correctly.
Clyde fans are fun, early 00s they all had huge stauners about almost reaching the top flight and how their "dormant fanbase" would arise and they'd charge into the top half. A win over Celtic strengthened these delusions. Over a decade later and most still believe theyre some form of "sleeping giant" of the Scottish game
In fairness to TW, I was happy enough with the logic of signing John Sutton, and can sort of see why hes gambled of Gormley and Johnstone, as our budget requires gambles every so often. Obviously thats with me rarely seeing them, although I'd seen Johnstone in games down South and he looked dreadful, but on paper it seemed logical.
That market is also obscenely hit and miss. We took Graham Cummins from League Two, he scored and assisted about twenty goals in his first six months and has two goals in the next eighteen..
What have you heard?
All I've heard is he was unfortunate enough to be in a car that got caught in traffic, someone on WAP claiming they left just minutes after a group who made it on time.
TBF I thought he looked good. Usually the issue with young strikers is their physical ability, but he was holding off defenders pretty well. Most comfortable player we had on the ball all day aswell. See absolutely no harm in giving him a run over the next month to see how he settles at this level, he has confidence, we need that.
They talk shite. He was left in acres of space, quick free kick went to him and he crossed to MacLean who headed in at the near post from about six yards. He spent the rest of the game sauntering around next to the right back turning his back to the ball.
Please, honestly please, someone on here have a word with someone at your club and make them put an offer in for Alston. I genuinely can't stand him and you lot seem to most viable option to relieve us of him
I'm not wanting to get into all this in here, but the prices don't affect our attendances in the slightest, they aren't even far off our crowds in the 80s, average wise
