Russell Latapy wasn't Stainrod etc etc. But we all said after Latapy finished with us that it would take a while before we saw someone that could rip apart defences etc. We either have to bring them through or get them when they are either near the end of their career or like Riordan (a flawed genius if you like)

I never said he was Russell Latapy. But he has it in his game to give us that little something extra. I'd take the chance on him.

Could have said the same with Latapy. Chain smoker, overweight, disciplined by his clubs... Came to us and became a player adored by the fans.

Riordan if he screws the nut could have a similar effect as Latapy did for us. Play him behind the main striker and put everything through him. Could all be immaterial as i doubt we would be in for him.

On Alston, i agree with you that he is by far and away our best midfielder. He does a power of running during the game, when you consider him covering up Sibbald and Fultons lazyitis, its no surprise if he gets subbed. Bingham has had a total of 2 games if you add up all the minutes he has had and is slowly but surely getting up to speed.
