  1. He was told a few home truths from us. He either takes that on board and becomes stronger or he pussies out.
  2. Gaz, i wasn't sure whether you still had to get a ticket from the club shop to use the Westfield Lounge.
  3. Closest proper (term used loosely) from the Falkirk Stadium is the Mill Inn (total dive). Penny's next to the college is another total dive. I'd suggest either The Orchard (next to Callander Square) or The Graeme Hotel (across from the Central Retail Park on Graham's Road).
  4. Nice use of the English language there Boaby. Sibbald played a couple of games there 2 seasons ago as well as last season. I was giving a suggestion as per the discussion.
  5. The "maverick" type player has almost gone from our game due to latest coaching practices. These players get looked upon as lazy by their managers. Obviously more emphasis is being put onto the team playing as a unit as opposed to one or two individual's strengths. Look at Mata this year, after doing what he did last year, he hasn't had a sniff at Mourinho's team due to his philosophy of playing as a complete unit. At my own club, we didn't have the players to play the 4.2.3.1 or 4.1.4.1 formation but Elvis insisted on it. This season we do have the players to do it, but Holt seems to want to play the diamond formation with no flexability. That leaves us open down the flanks if a team flood their midfield. From what i've seen of the players so far, Bingham, Alston and Fulton sitting behind either Loy or Roberts would be the ideal option. Ollie and (i would have sais Faulds based on last seasons performances but he seems to be out of things) or Sibbald who has played that role well before. None moreso than the Ramsdens final.
  6. Jay is a little behind what McCarthy was at that age, but with another year under his belt with a coach like Holt, i think you will see a difference in him. The lad has real potential. When you look at the past when everyone raved about how good Gary Smith was for us, when indeed he was a heap of shite in many peoples eyes. Its all about opinions.
  7. If he's available on loan or free transfer, get him signed up. As long as he has a good pedigree.
  8. As i said before, its only s suggestion. If we had the players, he wouldn't be near my team. Thing is, Holt has him in the squad before the likes of Comrie and Faulds. You have powderpuff guys like Leahy on the bench, i know i'd prefer Flynn on before him.
  9. 1. He is horseshit in defence 2. He will be one of the higher earners (and like it or not, one of the more experienced players) 3. He'd be a lot better than Sibbald and/or McGrandles would be IMHO. 4. Try him out against Raith next week and see how he goes. It looks like we aren't getting a midfielder in so will have to use the team we have at present. Either Holt has to go back to 1 up top and more in midfield or we need a bit of dig in the middle of the midfield. Ollie can't do it all himself with slackers around him.
  10. Flynn played a few times at right back for Ross County. He played pretty well there when used by us 4 or 5 times last season. Why not give him a run out in the midfield next week against Raith. Can't do any worse than he is at the moment.
  11. Mark Miller alongside Ollie would be sensational. For me the team would be able sustain a challenge for the league then.
  12. To think all of those idiots getting tore into him 2 seasons ago. The same ones that rip it to young McGrandles no doubt.
  13. Duffie and Kingsley both have a year left on their contracts so i'd be bracing ourselves for bids before the month is out.
  14. Can i just ask. How many if these Supporters buses put on a bus for away matches??? Or is it just an excuse for the hangers in to get some insider knowledge before anyone else?
  15. Spot on bud. Fantastic gesture by the club. Some folk are just born knicker wetting, torn faced eejits.
  16. I don`t get paid to do it for a living. He's done no bad. You don't play for one of the biggest clubs in the world for over 4 years if you are shite. You may be using the fact you don't like Man U to cloud your judgment.
  17. Aye, you're a guid yin to call a keeper shite Gav.
