Coral being killed off has been one the few decent things the writers have done in recent years. The character wasn't so much an issue for me than the actor. Chandler Riggs was just absolutely awful. He wasn't a great child actor and got considerably worse as he grew older. I expect he'll disappear from 'Hollywood' soon enough. Compare him to the actress playing his on screen sister and it's night and day. I think she's terrific and has a decent future if she wants it.

Yeah Chandler Riggs was a pretty awful child actor who turned into  terrible adult one. When Negan first meets Carl he's supposed to be blown away by this gun totting badass kid - it just doesn't have the same effect when the actors are almost the same height!

My favourite character is Negan, tbh. The show's always been much better when he features majorly in an episode, especially once Rick was away.

He also featured in my 'worst ever' TWD moment - in one of the season finales. Rick chases him into a field that has 1 single tree in, yet still gets caught by surprise when Negan jumped out from behind that tree 🤣

Bad Negan was a phenomenal character, Wanabee Dad of the Year Negan not so much. Him turning Heel again would be a great ending but that would put paid to any spinoff with Maggie - not happening.

Totally agree on the kingdom being pish that changed the whole tone. The whole sort of medieval aesthetic that came along shortly after was shite.

    Merle was great.

Disagree on Rick though, thought his character had got tedious way before he left.

I thought the second season, on the farm, was the highlight. The slow build in the tension up to the barn bit, then the power struggle between Shane and Rick all in southern gothic style was magnificent.

I agree to an extent about Rick, and I think a big part of that was a result of killing off Carl. He was never the same.

The lead up to finding Sophia in the barn was tremendous TV. Agree Shane V Rick was great. The farm stiff gets a lot of stick but I enjoyed it too.

They should have upped the danger from the zombies years ago IMO. I know the main threat has moved on to the other survivors but getting caught out but the same shuffling zombies in the most implausible situation got boring fast. I suppose the closest we got was the Whispers, but I just couldn't take to Samantha Morton.

  3. No we're nearing the end what are peoples defining moments from the show? For me, and in no particular order, they include the following;

    1. Rick leaving (obviously) - everything post Rick should be considered a TWD spinoff IMO. No Rick = No TWD

    2. Killing Carl - I know the actor had outgrown the character but for me the show had always been about Rick's struggle to protect his family. Lori's death was necessary to progress the story, but killing off Carl was a big mistake, and a total waste.

    3. Ezekeil and Shiva - the moment the show jumped the shark for me - it had never felt like the adaptation of a comic up until that point - just no.

    4. Favourite Character - Merle - brilliant - Michael Rooker is a great actor. His redemption arc was very satisfying.

I've no idea how they're going to wrap this up tbh. I just hope the focus isn't all on the new strain of smart zombies.

  4. One of the glaring issues with VAR is when there are a series of potential offences that require review in quick succession.

The video demo showed the VAR ref replaying one review in slowmo whilst his assistant continued to watch play.

Quite often the fans and commentators are completely unaware of the series of events that might require review before the most obvious/contentious one is dealt with.

Was there a potential offside that came before the foul? If that's not the case then its got to be given as a penalty.

  5. Get the home games against the OF off TV - easier said than done I know, but get them back to Saturday or Sunday (when European games are a factor) at 3pm.

Encourage stay away fans (and most importantly stay away ST fans) back to these games. The club are on record as saying turnout amongst ST holders is at its lowest for games against the OF.

Make Fir Park as inhospitable for the OF and their fans as possible. Currently they must have fixtures against us market on their calendar as a Jolly Boys' Outing.

Get back to treating humiliating defeats as they should be - unacceptable.  Getting pumped by the OF should be treated as an embarrassment and nothing else. The media team, management and everyone at the club can help shape the narrative here. We shouldn't accept it as fans and neither should they.

Wee story to give some of you The Fear.

Years ago I was with Scottish Power. I had major billing issues with them, and as a result downloaded all my statements. I went to the ombudsman eventually, and decided enough was enough and left them.

I was £300 in credit with them when I pulled the trigger. They sent me a bill saying I owed £900. How had they done this?

Simple. They moved me to a higher tariff, then recalculated the previous two years' usage at the new tariff. Hey presto, a £1200 swing. Oh, and they deleted all my statements from the online system.

Lucky I still had the statements, made another claim against them with the ombudsman etc. Got my money plus a goodwill gesture of £50.

What I am trying to say is - download and keep all statements. I wouldn't trust any of these companies not to do this again and recalculate your past usage at the current rate.

Scottish Power came along and fitted a smart gas meter to my flat.

Problem was I wasn't a Scottish Power customer, it was supposed to be for my downstairs neighbour.

I never found out about this until I was due to move house two years later.

I had been paying British Gas (my actual supplier) by direct debits based on their smart meter readings until it went quiet, and they just decided to switch me to estimates after ir stopped sending readings. They never bothered to tell me and I didn't notice as for the previous 8 years everything had been fine.

What makes it worse it that because BG were using estimates for my gas for over two years they had sent someone out to get an actual reading from my meter (it is a legal requirement) and even then,  when they noticed the readings were totally out of whack, they didn't bother to tell me. All they did was revert to the estimates that they knew were wrong.

As you can imagine, unravelling this whole mess was a nightmare I wouldn't wish on anybody. The term "computer says no" has never been so apt.

Never received any sort of apology from Scottish Power either. c***s.

  7. My folks have mares tail in their garden and its turned into an absolute obsession for my old Da. He's out every day weeding it. Can't sit in the garden without talking about it and he has to get it out as soon as he sees it.

It seems to have a waxy texture and the roots are massive and it snaps when you pull it. Tried all sorts or pesticides but nothing seems to eradicate it.

He's was on about soaking the place in diesel the last time he went on his weekly rant about it!

Its a weird argument to say no one should be shooting from that range when he has other options when 5 seconds later their player scored from the half way line.

The two situations are hardly comparable though.

  9. I'm in the Hendry at fault camp.

No other team lose that goal as no one shoots from there given the obvious and easy ball out wide, which gives us the opportunity to put in a decent cross.

It was a ridiculous decision to shoot.

Marshall was maybe a bit too casual in his positioning but he's entitled to believe we're never giving the ball away in that position.

99 times out of 100 we get away with it, which is the most galling thing.

  10. Middle aged cow at the top of the cul de sac lets her dog use the residential parking area as a toilet cos she's too lazy to walk the fucker. Poor dug is always hyper anytime it's out the house.

There's either shite everywhere or a wee row of bagged turds sat on top of random fences, dependant on the level of her cuntishness that week.

She also leaves her washing out overnight regularly.

    Scum.
