  1. Were San Marino and Andorra playing in that competition too
  2. We could have also avoided spending £400,000 on Stevie May and then freeing him to a bottom 6 club. McCrorie has been a success for us.
  3. Should have won that today but we didn't. I too am not particularly happy with what we are having to watch but a sense of perspective is required. Yes I know I have called for McInnes oto go before on here but he won't be going anywhere so forget that. We are still 3rd (although we have blown a wonderful opportunity to finish 2nd). It could get worse and I think we may well finish 4th but I will wait and see who we bring in by Monday night before having a meltdown.
  4. Farewell Sammy. Thanks for your goals and for making the club a tidy profit. If only some of our other players had gone for similar fees we wouldn't be chasing St Johnstone reserve players.
  5. We probably did but all money raised is now going on debt. Free transfers and loans will be all we can afford until the pandemic ends
  6. Is Hendry out of contract in the summer? I could perhaps understand us needing a bench warmer as we have 14 out of contract this summer but a loan deal now makes no sense to me
  7. It's like going to Pittodrie on match day. I sit in the main stand and all you hear is "Get that Cosgrove off he's murder" or "do you not know what a footballer is McInnes" etc etc. Our fans are really bad for supporting the team at home. I'm amazed Birmingham are paying £2 million for Cosgrove as he isn't worth that in my opinion but those on afc chat thinking he's total garbage are wrong. He isn't the best striker we have had but he's been miles more effective than most of the strikers McInnes has brought in.
  8. With 2 champions league places, 1 Europa League place and 2 conference league places for Scotland next season even sleepwalking into 5th should see us in Europe
  9. What rivalry? According to Rangers fans "No-one likes us, we don't care". Surely if we are as irrelevant as Rangers fans think we are then none of their fans would read any Aberdeen forums and get upset at what Dons fans think........
  10. https://twitter.com/themattbren/status/1354196732696006656?s=20
  11. Failing to replace him would leave us with Main and Anderson as our only strikers. What a dreadful prospect
  12. Agree with this. Pawlett was a much more effective player for us than Wright has been
  13. They also understood the rivalry between Aberdeen and Rangers. They will always be welcomed back. Wright and Jack certainly won't be.
  14. Scott Wright isn't a particularly good player. Nobody cared when he was loaned out to Dundee. If he was joining anyone else other than Rangers this would have got very few replies on here, on afc chat, on Facebook or twitter. I won't miss him and hope he fails miserably at Rangers. I do think though that Aberdeen really need to get some positive news out in the next few weeks as the way things are going then there is going to be a massive drop in season ticket renewals and a massive drop in AberDNA renewals too.
  15. I'm sure when your tinpot club was in the lower leagues you would happily traded our top four finishes. And well done on the Scottish Cup win but I seem to remember that Final was between 2 lower league clubs.....
  16. I was only a little boy at the time so have no recollection of the games but is there any Motherwell or Hibs supporters who have any information on the friendlies at Mosset Park in the 1980s Forres v Motherwell and Forres v Hibs. I'm looking for date of match, result, team line ups and scorers if possible?
  17. I'd sack him. We are going backwards badly. The football is awful to watch. I won't be wasting another £500 on a season ticket and DNA if he is still here after the summer
  18. Utter shambles. Remember McGhee they say. Well I'm sorry but time has come for a change. Brutal to watch with players who don't look at all comfortable or confident in what they are doing. No Aberdeen team with the amount of backing McInnes has had should ever be pumped 4-1 by the league's bottom placed team
  19. Sorry for the poor quality but this is the latest lists for the Europa League Final Qualifying Round (winner into Europa League group stage and loser into Conference League group stage) and the list for QR3 and QR4 of the Conference League. Looking at whom we may have to beat its preferable we are in the Europa League as I can't see us winning 2 rounds as an unseeded side in the Conference League. Hibs and Livingston fans may be interested in this list
  20. Let's hope Barry Town have got worse since 1996. That was a uncomfortable night in the rain in Wales
  21. St Mirren wont get an easier game than that all season IMO. Aberdeen were honking today. I feared McInnes would needlessly rest players with Thursday in mind and I dont get his obsession with concentrating on Europe at the expense of all else. His after match interview said that some of the fringe players were sluggish. Well thats hardly a surprise considering we have had NO friendlies arranged since before we started our European campaign. No wonder Main, Wright and McLennan looked so far off the pace it was ridiculous. McInnes would be as well putting out the under 20s on Thursday and keeping the entire first choice XI fresh for next Sunday's very, very important League Cup tie at a Dundee side I think could give St Mirren a much harder game than we managed today. An absolutely disgusting, woeful and exceptionally worrying performance if this is going to be the standard. St Mirren werent particularly good, we just made them look like Celtic or Rangers by being completely unable to do basics.
  22. Nowhere near worth £7million IMO. He is though very, very good at passing to Considine.
  23. I was quite relaxed about next week until i read that Tarapoa!!!
