  1. Surely Devine won't get another top flight team in Scotland. Surely. Fully expect him to rock up at some League 2 nonsense down south.
  2. I’ve a feeling that McLaughlin was another Chris Duggan or Kevin Nisbet who’ll absolutely pish the development league but won’t ever make the step up to top end championship/bottom end premiership level. Good luck to him.
  3. Probably still pretending he’s injured so he doesn’t have to play against Celtic
  4. What? He hasn’t shown off his technical abilities because he doesn’t possess them.
  5. f**k that, as many handsome players as possible please. Starting with Freddie
  6. Paul Paton’s an arsehole, get him to f**k. A horrible, classless ned, with very little footballing ability.
  7. They came 6th in 2011-12, when all of the big five teams were in the top flight.
  8. Chris Miller would be great. Would imagine O’Ware will want a Premiership team, and the livi boys won’t be happening. A centre back capable of occasionally going through entire games without making numerous basic mistakes would be lovely.
  9. Right, that’s that then. First order of business for Archie, euthanise Danny Devine.
  10. That Archibald has never assembled a squad that won the Championship. When he came in, he did improve the team (particularly away from home) but the squad was already the best in the division. That isn’t the case this time, and we need major work done this summer on a scale Archibald has never had to do before.
  11. The only thing that’s giving me some hope is that Archie (or whoever’s in charge, but it’ll be Archie) still has the nucleus of a decent squad for the Championship, although obviously needing pretty major work to it. Cerny, Elliott, Penrice, McCarthy, Erskine and Doolan will all be good enough for that league. If Edwards and Keown stay they should be capable of doing fine as well. A decent centre half and an experienced centre midfielder and we’re almost at, what should in theory, be a pretty competent first 11 for the championship. The other positive is that, barring him inexplicably being kept on, I shouldn’t ever have to pay actual money to watch Devine play football ever again, which is lovely.
  12. I think it’ll be Jim McIntyre. There was a bit on him on bbc the other week where he was on about how brilliant our board were for not sacking a manager just because he was doing a shite job, and how he was really keen to get back into it. That said, unless he walks, I think it’s more likely Archibald will be kept.
  13. Free Agent, been released by Plymouth. I'd take him in a heartbeat, but imagine he'll get a team in England.
  14. Just delighted that this absolute shambles has come to an end to be honest. We've been grim since top 6 was confirmed. As others have said, a massive clear out is needed, although I have no idea who'll take some of our more shambolic players. Realistically, I'd only actively try to keep Doolan, Cerny, Erskine, Lawless, McCarthy, Penrice and Elliott from this seasons squad. I'm ambivalent towards Edwards and Keown staying, and the rest I'd get rid of, as they're shite. I think the problem will be finding anyone willing to take the likes of Storey and Barton. Lawless will probably be away, he's definitely good enough for a bottom six side. I'd take that Chris MIller that's just been released from St Johnstone, always seemed a tidy player, and while I like McCarthy, think we need a more composed player beside him.
  15. Weird to think that this season, as shite as we've been, is still a higher placed finish than any Morton team for the last 30 years.
  16. Liam Lindsay papered over a lot of cracks defensively last season, even Danny Devine looked vaguely competent. Booth is pish. Dundee can have him.
  17. I’d take years of seaside league shite for the Scottish cup to be honest. This is all just distracting from the fact that Archibald is, currently, doing an atrocious job, and should be punted. Even if we end up appointing some absolute diddy like John Hughes or Gary Locke. Although, to be honest it’ll be whoever happens to be the most senior/oldest player at the time. Doolan or Erskine probably. Maybe Martin Woods, he’s getting on a bit.
  18. Because he was doing a shite job. The fact the guy that replaced him also did a shite job doesn’t change that. Previous success is no guarantee of later success. Stuart McCall at Motherwell had come 2nd a few times, then made a complete arse of it and had them destined for the playoffs when he left. McIntyre won the league cup for County, but was still a shambles by the time he left. What do you mean more than a cup run? What more is there for a club like Thistle? Winning a cup would shite all over top league mediocrity for me, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone.
  19. Ross County’s problem isn’t that they changed, it’s that they appointed an absolute fraud in Coyle who patently didn’t have a clue what he was doing. Sacking McIntyre was still the right thing to do. And yes, Killie and Well have both been in the playoffs, are the managers responsible still in charge/having banners about them displayed at matches? Realistically, we’re always going to have some seasons where we struggle, but that does not mean the board should stand by and do nothing about it. Which is what they’re doing. But it’s also realistic to expect that we have some success against the bigger teams in the league, or something notable in a cup every once in a while. Every other full time club can.
  20. Hopefully they get someone with, you know, relevant experience to replace him rather than another random ex-player.
