Just to pick you up here, Devine was under no circumstances “excellent” the season before last. He was still well out of his depth , but carried by a team involving a few genuinely excellent defensive players (Liam Lindsay, Abdul Osman, Adam Barton - albeit the latter two fell apart completely thereafter). I don’t know what Devine’s level is, but it’s certainly below the premiership, and from the sounds of most of your fans, it’s below the championship as well.

C.D.Nacional v Vitoria Guimarães. Finished 1-0 to Nacional, despite them clearly being an inferior side. Nice enough stadium and an alright attendance, although it turned out to be a massive pain in the arse to get to. Not great and certainly nothing to get excited over but if he contributes in a meaningful way to any points at all this season he’ll be an improvement on Storer. That said, if “better than Jack Storer” is the benchmark we’re using for all our signings, we’re totally fucked.

Good season that. Got absolutely destroyed in the cup final, which was annoying, and my best player is away to Poland for next season, but still. Looked like I was going to get European football as cup runners up, but Fjolnir managed to go from 2nd to 6th in the last 2 weeks of the season... The under 19's did well too, which is nice.

Season one in Iceland, had been predicted to come 11th I think so pretty pleased with that. Mildly fucked it for myself with just 1 win in the last 4 games, but still not bad. Quite enjoying Iceland, main downside is that there's about 4 months between the end of one season and start of the next.

Good first season, even if we must have been boring as f**k to watch. Kept 67% possession on average in matches but largely did nothing with it. Should have finished 2nd, but absolutely fucked it and lost to Queens. Got through the playoffs pretty comfortably and neat Livi in the final, which was nice. Need to strengthen a fair bit if we're going to have any chance of staying up though.
