  1. What a time to be alive. If we can get Osman and Cerny signed up, we'll be well on our way to having a very decent squad for next season. Edit: and Lawless would be nice, but I'm almost certain he'll be away somewhere.
  2. Pretty certain Aird is contracted until 2019 or something silly, which would mean we'd likely have to pay for him. This, along with him being absolute dross, means that I sincerely hope it's all just paper talk. Erskine coming back would be glorious.
  3. When Bannigan leaves, who will that leave us with from the first division wining side? Doolan, Welsh, Lawless and Elliott? Am I missing any?
  4. Excellent news. He definitely needs to get some first team football and isn't going to get it with us. As HJ said, bit of a sand dancer but works hard and he should do fine at that level.
  5. He'll follow the tried and tested route of going down south and turning out for Preston north end or someone in league 1/championship and earning much more than he can here. I'd imagine.
  6. Erskine will have made more money over the last 3 years than he would have if he'd stayed, and with any luck he'll be home in time for next season.
  7. Think Jim McInally at Peterhead is the longest serving (assuming he's still in a job). Not sure who else, if anyone, is longer serving than Archie though.
  8. I actually quite like Stevenson and think he does a good job for us normally, but if he wants away then fine. I've not got Instagram and haven't seen any of his posts, what's he been saying?
  9. I'd consider it a personal favour if you never posted again, thanks.
  10. Because they're an absolutely detestable club, and European success and the finances that come with that help contribute to the gulf between Celtic and the others. HTH.
  11. 8mile claimed that ruggy used to follow a couple of his female friends around nightclubs in Falkirk about 15 years ago, and that they'd nicknamed him "the watcher." Make of that story what you will.
  12. I don't think anyone has a problem with remembering the dead. There's a raft of other problems with the poppy appeal that I think people have though, most notably the fact that it's becoming increasingly conflated with the jingoistic "support our troops" rhetoric, which certainly doesn't sit easy with me. In saying that, if people want to wear a poppy, then go ahead, but criticising others for their preferred method of remembrance is pointless.
  13. http://news.sky.com/story/1578184/windsor-sod-off-if-you-wont-wear-a-poppy Some of the comments on that are fantastic. "When my kids are my age we won't have Remembrance Sunday... Just Ramadan" "Time we stopped the PC garbage and stood up for our own"
  14. Welshbairn (I think) enjoys going to nightclubs by himself, and does it fairly often. He also can't work out why this is weird. Can't remember what thread it was in.
  15. In no particular order, Firhill Stadium, Partick Thistle Celtic Park, Celtic Tynecastle, Hearts Dens Park, Dundee Tannadice, Dundee United Hampden Stadium, Queens Park/Scotland. McDiarmid Park, St Johnstone Rugby Park, Kilmarnock Fir Park, Motherwell New Douglas Park, Hamilton Ibrox Stadium, Rangers The Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk Easter Road, Hibernian Cappielow, Morton Tony Macaroni Arena, Livingston The Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium, Dumbarton St Mirren Park, St Mirren Somerset Park, Ayr United Stadium of Light, Sunderland Old Trafford, Manchester United St James' Park, Newcastle United John Smith's Stadium, Huddersfield Town
  16. He allegedly sees himself as a goal scoring centre mid with a "wand" of a right foot, according to Wikipedia. His stats absolutely don't back this up. Hopefully he's right.
  17. Dundee United is a huge game, they seem to have just as many problems as we do at present. As is Motherwell, who while faring slightly better than us certainly could be dragged into it. I can't see us getting anything at McDiarmid though. Lose all 3 and we'll need to seriously think about getting a new manager in.
  18. I know you're trolling, but he made 2 appearances that season, both after the league was won IIRC.
  19. So, being sacked for committing gross misconduct is getting "stabbed in the back"? Cool.
  20. If we were to go with the lineup nizzy has posted, then I'd imagine that one of Muirhead/Stevenson/Lawless would naturally sit deeper than Doolan/Pogba and could themselves act as the link. Also think that sooner or later we'll need to give Gary Fraser game time, he's got the best range of passing at the club IMO and also the only centre midfielder who consistently looks to get it forward quickly. He has his shortcomings obviously, and he really needs to stop shooting from 40+ yards every single game he plays, but I think he's worth a shot. Nevertheless, 3-5-2 or even a kind of 3-5-1-1 must be worth a go, since what we're doing at the moment clearly isn't working. I've not been to many games this season, but I haven't seen us create a proper chance yet which is absolutely depressing in the extreme.
