  1. Didn't make it through yesterday but those that did seemed pretty happy with the performance. We're definitely better than a lot of people (me included) expected. When Clyde battered us in the League Cup I thought they looked brilliant and the squad looked really strong - hard to explain this start to the league, other than it just seems to be what Clyde do. Hope the rumoured financial issues are either not true or swiftly resolved. Can confirm from personal experience, it's not fun to go through and wouldn't wish it on others.
  2. Yesterday was bad, hopefully most of it was down to the weather but really not good. Bonnyrigg game on Saturday is, and noting it's very very early days, a big one. Hopefully MacArthur is back from injury and Robbo can go back into center mid. And that we get some loans in. Interesting to see how Michael reacts as he's had a bit of a dig at the players 2 weeks in a row now
  3. Yeah just the Leven Station, end of the line and only a 10 minute wander to the ground. Takes just over an hour from Waverley
  4. Awful stuff that. But a tremendous macaroni pie. We were as poor as I'd expect but East Fife were not that much better. I think 0-0 would have been the correct result but if anyone was to win it was always going to be East Fife. New train line is great, well done to all involved in campaigning for that.
  5. Looking forward to this one but a lot of that is down to be it being my first go on the new train line. Our rough plan is probably 1 or 2 at The East Dock Bar and then into the bar at the ground. Happy for any suggestions/amendments from East Fife fans, I hear the Shorehead Cafe is an artisan bakery or something these days? We were slightly better than expected last week but I still think we're 5 loan signings away from being competitive in this league and the lack of options off the bench killed us against Stirling.
  6. We did okay yesterday with a couple of decent performances and I think a draw would have been fair. But, this is basically a Lowland League first team with an East of Scotland bench and that lack of options off the bench cost us yesterday.
  7. Yeah same people, Maybury was in place when the club changed hands, and to be honest should have left then as his stock was really high after getting us promoted. Don't think him and the current regime ever got on particularly well, and in fairness we stopped paying him along with all his players! He had a horrible run at the end but I think there are enough extenuating circumstances to suggest he's got a rough idea of what he's doing
  8. No match thread for today? Unless there's a flood of loan signings between now and kick off we look set for a bit of a doing. Suspect Alan Maybury will be particularly up for this one considering how his time at City ended. Nice day for it if nothing else.
  9. The excitement of the Bronze Licence announcement this morning clearly gone to the head of our social media officer. What a start to the season
  10. Delighted the licence has been granted and we can get on with the season (which I'm actually looking forward to). Still loads of things about the club I want answers on etc. but a good news day, and we've not had many of those recently
  11. Well plenty of signings this week but absolutely zero communication to fans or members as to our licencing arrangements, as @craigkillie states above it will be a process of derogation/waivers etc. and now seems highly unlikely we'll be punted at this point. All guess work of course as the club have literally just blanked multiple requests for information. Appalling way to treat a, very small already, fanbase. This is the polar opposite of what we'd been promised. I've asked about our ownership (met with silence) as we had 2 new shareholders who, when pooled together (and they are husband and wife) were the largest shareholders. According to Companies House they are no longer shareholders and their holdings have gone back to John Dickson. Lasted a total of 3 months, as far as I'm aware they didn't see a game (which if they had would at least have explained their swift departure!) Of course, I know this from Companies House, not from any sort of communication at all from the club. A complete farce. Not sure what's going on but I won't be renewing my membership until lines of communication are opened and I usually make a cash donation to the club which is also on hold. I'll probably go to the Hibs friendly on Saturday to see if I can get a handle on what on earth is happening but suspect it will all fall under the category of *not good*
  12. Sorry misread this. Either we meet the criteria to an extent the regulator is happy with and we're allowed to compete as usual or we don't and we're kicked out. I don't want special treatment but I do want clarity.
  13. Hard to really follow this and I have been told a short statement is expected today but I think the main thing for me is, if we haven't met the criteria and didn't have a pathway to meeting the criteria that was deemed satisfactory then we'd have been punted out the SPFL by now. Would give more time to do the necessary reconfiguration etc. I'd be surprised and disappointed at a points deduction as it just kills the bottom of league stone dead before it's even begun. Either we make the criteria (or come to an agreement) and are allowed to play as normal or we don't and we're punted.
  14. I've asked the club to provide a statement as I can understand why people are jumping to the conclusions they are but I think there is better news than appears. The club have basically mothballed social media (no kit, season tickets etc) but expect to see that change over the coming days which is hopefully a positive sign.
