Was hoping one of the young lads got in!
Let the pantomime commence with SG now on board …4 -
Whilst this looks like a cracking, ultra competitive league at the top, I just can’t take it seriously with the B teams in there

I expect more from Talbot than I’ve seen this season so far as it is your cup and rightly so with the record u have in it but I just can’t see anything other than a darvel win regardless of the 11 players mick puts out as all the subs would walk in to the Talbot team but it’s cup football and anything can happen over 90 minutes
I expect a cracker of a cup tie

Getting embarrassing.
We have been really sloppy all afternoon and are now getting a doin from a hibs side that haven’t really had to get out of 2nd gear0 -
I’ve heard from a very reliable source over the last hour or so that the smisa members that have resigned have so because of Gilmour, they don’t want to be part of it if he has something to do with it.
Also someone has been making up stories to make things sound a lot worse than they actually are, the whole financial thing has totally been blown out of proportion.
who would make up such stories?
Fair enough McG, your far more itk than me. I just don’t understand why you would walk away before this happens, therefore increasing the chance of the very person you don’t want in to be elected.
I really hope he isn’t elected, I hold him in the same regard as others have mentioned for stepping in at a very difficult time in our history, but he has come across as a slavering mess at some of the SMISA evenings that just wants to stir Up trouble or has old axes to grind.2 -
I think no matter how the vote went Gilmour was going to end up involved somehow.
Thanks for replying (genuinely) as I have zero idea at what’s going on. But 4 seemingly intelligent board members resigning in advance of an election due to the off chance of someone being voted on doesn’t feel right to me.1 -
I don’t think he’s meaning they’ve left due to their support of SG, rather leaving because they don’t want involved with a guy who has already had his chance and doesn’t deserve another.
But surely by them resigning, that gives SG a greater chance of getting back on the board?
4 places being available rather than 1 or 2 makes the odds a lot better for him (unfortunately).0 -
The inevitable slow march led by who is now standing, I’d imagine.
I don’t follow. Are you saying that 4 members of the board have resigned in (less than) as many months due to their support of SG…?
That doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.0 -
What does worry me is that why has there been so many resignations in such a short space of time? Anyone have any insight?

Read this article today on the athletic - had no idea about any of this or that he was involved at Gretna … surely going to end in disaster

Had the luxury of time this weekend and decided to watch Saturday nights programme from start to finish (instead of usually cutting to the highlights of games I want to see) -
Never again!
Can’t get over how bad the analysis is, if I heard rangers need to “get to the byline” one more time I was going to chuck my tv out the window. Shelley Kerr is laughably bad, she offers absolutely nothing! Micheal Stewart not much better - I used to think he was ok as well.
The highlights of the st mirren game were improved on recent weeks to be fair, usually they miss half of the incidents, but think they caught it all this weekend, so credit where credits due! (Although it really should be a given!)1 -
Cracking episode tonight lads.
Emotional at the end with Tony F - he is a true legend!0 -
Gogic is very lucky to still be on the park, I think VAR would have seen him sent off.
Not a chance!0 -
Killie started stronger for first 20 or so, we’ve definitely been the better side for last 20, with Joe needing to do better with his chance.
I like Main more every time I see him, he just doesn’t stop running, and at one point tracked back to cover tanser to help stop their wing back / winger breaking who has been giving tanser a torrid time. He also had a decent chance, done well to make the initial connection and of being harsh should prob be looking to hit the target at least.
Looks like some crowd - over 6k?1 -
Darvel - the gift that keeps on giving!
Imagine your owner greeting at being told to stand with his own fans [emoji23]0 -
I hate international football, don't watch it and don't believe that having seven players from our current squad capped at the same time is of anything more than a marginal benefit (if at all) to our club.
That’s the spirit!0 -
I wonder if this development suggests that Erhahon is in SR's plans, and Gogic coming in was very much with the centre half position in mind?
Robinson has said in at least 2 interviews now Gogic has been brought in to play centre half (with the ability to step in to midfield when required)
Erhahon being in SRs plans was surely never in doubt, arguably been our best player so far this season.0 -
Sad to hear Jim Goodwin on Radio Scotland yesterday saying being the manager of Aberdeen was his “dream job”. I don’t blame him for moving for a huge pay rise but his St Mirren Legend status can be binned now.

Strange one about Joe… hope he’s not off anywhere before the window closes!

What an embarrassment that is!0 -
Strain, Baccus and Erhahon for me today!
Baccus especially looks a real find, would imagine he’s still not 100% fit either so exciting times ahead to see how he progresses.
Wasn’t a huge amount of quality in the game, Taits absolute worldy aside. I expected a lot more from RC but they were pretty shite and dirty b*****ds, sincerely hope you go down this year for giving your rat of a manager a platform in the dugout again.
We looks organised and hungry but still lack quality in the final third!
Amazing what a win does, looking forward to next week!3 -
Having B teams in our league system will have a more devastating impact on our lower leagues than games being on the TV at 3pm on a Saturday

Why did the amateur team not sign on? I thought they had a relatively settled team over the years and would have thought they would have been keen to progress as a group for this season

Heard there’s going to be collection buckets outside the ground for our game against Motherwell next week.
Hope the Motherwell fans donate generously too save our wee club going to the wall.0

Cracking series, gets better every season.
Who comes up with the videos? They are absolutely brilliant.
I’m even starting to enjoy your terrible chat…
