  1. Whilst I have lost all respect for the LL and most of its clubs, west and east of Scotland ex juniors have no right to complain.

They literally let this happen right under their noses, you had the chance to drive the future of our non league / semi pro game, but for some weird reason you didn’t, and decided to listen to a bunch of dinosaurs and one racist.

FWIW, I sincerely hope the LL gets opened up soon and is replaced by the top east and west teams - that will make an absolutely brilliant league. But it will be under the say so of the league you wanted no part of a few years ago.

  2. That was an absolute shambles today.

All we had to do was not lose a goal in the first 15, and the venom from the 2 stands behind the goals would have caused them to bottle it - as has been seen many times before (not against us right enough).

We completely downed tools in that second half, something I haven’t seen for a while.

I get why people are calling for Robinson’s head, we are in free fall, however the fact we have dropped 100k on him will likely buy him time. I’m finding him highly unlikeable but feel we have no option but to let him build his own side in the summer (regardless of what division we’re in), as we seen from the interview process leading up to his appointment there really isn’t a lot of options out there currently (or none that our fans would accept)

  3. Hilarious considering DL used to slate other (and far less financed) teams pitches, and I’m sure the chairman criticized brechins park at half time on bbc Scotland. I’m sure he also talked about who they who and where they were going to be playing in the next round in the same interview (despite them only being 1 up at the time).

They really are a bunch of fuds.

  4. Yeah I agree, but its impossible to say for sure. Maybe Gallagher wouldn't have progressed much at Falkirk. Or he might be amazing by now.
Im guessing leaving rangers produced a better version of Gilly Bilmour.
Its just positive that the big English teams and even the abroad leagues are now looking and trying to poach our young players more. Shows we're now doing something right in terms of development.

It is a positive yes, but it’s more to do with the big teams being restricted on who they can sign under the age of 18 due to work permits etc. this has forced them to look closer to home in beefing up / improving their youth teams
  5. I didn't think it was particularly encouraging that Morecambe were fourth from bottom. I listened to the Motherwell fans, though, and agreed that he had a good record there, so I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Goodwin got us to two semi-finals last season, and we only missed out on a top-six spot on goal difference.
Robinson isn't likely to endear himself with the fans by telling them to 'f**k off'.

Having sat in the main stand for best part of 20 years I can completely understand why a manager would tell them to f**k off. Some of the shouts are embarrassing and majority of the time don’t even make sense.

Not ideal granted, but don’t think we should be making a big deal about it.
  6. There is the possibility that Ross is a shoe-in and what we're seeing here is basically gamesmanship from the club.
John Needham is a businessman and I guess that phoning up Jack on Thursday night asking him to come in to talk would not have been the smart business move. JR would then hold a pretty strong hand when it came to agreeing terms,
Instead, let him wait by the phone for the few days and feed the names of Brown and Naismith to the press? Serves a couple of purposes: might temper JR's salary demands if he thinks there's competition, as well us allowing to have a look at potential candidates for the manager's job in 2025.

Unfortunately, I think you are being far too generous to Needham here.
  7. At least Naismith has “management”
Experience with hearts youth team, and by all accounts is apparently doing pretty well.

I’d also like to think Clarke wouldn’t have him in the Scotland setup unless he relatively decent!

Obviously being a good coach doesn’t necessarily translate into being a good
Manager, but certainly a better (albeit risky) option that some of the names being banded about.

  8. Im still torn about Jack Ross. A sensible me thinks it’s a no brainer to get him back.

However I can’t help but have a nagging doubt about it, it’s never the same 2nd time round is it?

The drawbacks for me is his recruitment, it was very hit and miss before and has been since he’s left us (maybe I’ve just been spoiled by JGs generally excellent recruitment (strikers aside)). I also heard he was extremely hard work behind the scenes (ie needy b*****d) always wanting told how well he’s doing etc. he seemed to know he was in demand and would hold that over the board by all accounts.

On the flip side he’s clearly an excellent coach, players like playing for him and would like to think he come out of Sunderland and Hibs experiences a better manager.

Whilst I’m part of SMISA and fully support fan ownership, at the same time I don’t actually trust our board (kibble reps included) to make the right appointment. Not sure why, nothing to base it on but just another nagging feeling I can’t help shift! I think Tony is the only one with any football nous and I’m not sure how involved he will be in these discussions with his impending retirement.

  9. What a result, buzzing after that considering the team we had left on the park at full time!

Did Millar come on at left wing [emoji3]

Apart from 15 min spell before our goal hibs we’re awful, if we were more clinical we could have punished them constantly giving the ball away in their own half in the first half.

Alan power is a hero, excellent today as was Ronan. Jones will only get better as he gets sharpness, hope he’s not injured. Shout out to Grieve too, made a nuisance of himself and hopefully a good option to come off the bench in games vs tired defenders.

  10. If the DR is correct then I think that’s a reasonable bit of business considering where we are in the window. I would like to think we have got some sort of sell on in there too.

He clearly doesn’t want to be here, we have Kiltie and Ronan who in recent weeks have suggested are more than capable replacements.

I also like Gogic and is a solid enough signing, we were after him when he left Hamilton so JG obviously rates him. Him and Power is a very experienced a solid base in the midfield which should allow our forward players to concentrate more on the attacking side of things.

  11. Saturday was a shambles.

I didn’t see it but apparently at around half 20 odd Aberdeen fannys tried to attack a supporters bus as they got off, wasn’t many youngsters on that bus and apparently the Aberdeen boys got talked down by a few older guys from the bus.

What I did witness was being searched at two different entry points, 1 turnstile being open and queue not moving coz they had run out of tickets (despite being pay at the gate) in the absolute pishing wind and rain. Then as soon as we entered the stadium there was a big Tammy at the top of the stairs for a good 15 mins which was statues by a steward trying to arrest a fan (which is bizarre in itself). Then a few other stewards got involved and resulted in a mass handbags of shoving and swaying. The result was one steward being led away by police who thought he was Tyson fury.

I’m sure we are as guilty of this in the way we treat fans / away fans, but Scottish football is a fuckin shambles, any other product wouldn’t treat paying customers like this, especially those who take the day at great expense and time to pay to watch that product in what is more often than not horrendous conditions. Maybe I’m just getting old, but we really don’t do ourselves any favours.

  12. Why did Gordon Scott accelerate the deal to get Kibble on board ? Was it for purely selfish reasons with regards to getting his financial return back years earlier than he first anticipated.
Its obvious that the Kibble are really only interested in the Kibble. The football club are nothing less than secondary.

Why / how is it obvious? (Not saying your wrong I just want some insight as to what the f**k is going on)
