Why could we not afford him? He'll be on what 25 to 30 k a year at Airdrie tops.

Yeah he maybe is only on that at Airdrie, but I don't believe we would be only ones interested in him, IF he were to leave Airdrie, so we would need to come up with a package to match thoose clubs

That's another issue entirely. If there's competition from clubs above we'll struggle especially if we dither about what we are doing.

That's the thing, I don't think.we could get Murray, I would rather have him than Mcglynn in ideal world, big fan of Murrays Airdrie team, and whether we can afford him, we are managing to find £1,500 a week on an unfit striker who is finished, so know where I'd prefer that money to go towards

Would you be willing to give him 4 years to slowly build his own team to be a realistic contender,

I would think there would be a bigger threat of Murray going to Raith if we don't go up this year..

Why would he need 4 years? At Falkirk he's got far more budget to work with . At Airdrie he's had to work like that as he's got hee haw to work with. At Falkirk he'd have one of the biggest if not the biggest budget in the league. Yes there's some dross hanging about but some would be ok squad players and hopefully he could get a bit more out some of them than Rennie.

If he went to Airdrie then I'd take mcglynn in a minute. A manager that's actually won something.

Can you afford Ian Murray though?

Surely the money tree is getting more threadbare by the L1 season.

Let's face it he'll be on peanuts at your side the now and compo therefore wouldn't be a whole lot. Might change of course if you go up but at the moment I doubt he'd be outside our price range.

I'd like to see whose available come the summer in the manager stakes. If someone like mcglynn is up for grabs then it's a no brainer surely.

Not getting the love for Mcglynn tbh, Ian Murray is the no brainer for me, plus his actions in the Goodwillie affair would leave bad taste in my mouth, our board may have wanted to sign him going by rumours bit he actually did

He's got Raith in the hunt for a playoff spot in the champ this season and they finished 3rd last season despite having to run a very tight ship.  His managerial record is head and shoulders above Murray's. I wouldn't be against Murray but mcglynn any day over him.

That is 100% the wrong thing to do. Never a bad time to speak to the supporters IMO.

Exactly. How would the bod and management look if they cancelled it due to a poor result. That's what deans mob would've done definitely. These guys aren't deans thank feck.

Whatever happens with the manager hopefully we hear soon. I know mathematically we can still make the play offs but that’s obviously not going to happen. Clarity for next season as soon as possible would be good.

I also hope they rethink the fans meeting after the Montrose game, feelings could be running high and wouldn’t want it to turn toxic, no one would need that!

    Best time to have it.

Certainly going about as well as I expected.

He's the least of our worries to be fair. Bringing him in to that side without bolstering other areas was always going to be a waste of cash.  A team playing well and full of confidence would've brought more out of him but that's certainly not us.

  9. I really don't think things could get any more depressing as a Falkirk fan. Gutless team lead by a gutless manager.  Meanwhile we're paying a striker a fortune for this league when we have absolutely no chance of making the playoffs never mind getting promoted. The fact the bod are actually still considering keeping Rennie after performances like this is mental.

Let’s be honest it’s not like we’re Chelsea or Liverpool. Do we honestly think there’s one team out there worrying about a Dowds or Morrison?
I would wager that the top four couldn’t really give two Fcks who we play

You get far more info from Liverpool and Chelsea about injuries .

Football clubs are notoriously bad at exactly the point you’ve made. Combination of factors but primarily results/fan’s expectations are normally the catalyst for BODs to bin managers. Can think of a club not to far away from us……☹️

I know but at least replace them with someone with a decent track record . I mean glass and Maloney have done absolutely nothing managerially. Too many coaches getting jobs at the top before they've cut their teeth in the lower leagues if you ask me. It works every now and again but very rarely.
