  1. Dragunov in a protracted programme against Gunther where they just batter the shit out of one another en route to Gunther becoming main event level and Dragunov building his way up, please.
  2. If you'd told me this three years ago when a Cody led AEW could seemingly do no wrong and WWE were hemorrhaging wantaway talent, I'd have not believed a word of it. It has fully flipped on it's lid though.
  3. Make no mistake as well, this weekend was the end. A definitive line in the sand of Vince's era and his quirks and preferences in terms of how he wants things said and done and when. Everyone still argues when eras ended and begun in WWE. This weekend from the HoF onwards was a line drawn under Vince's 'Sports Entertainment' eras for sure. Anyone who has watched WWE for a long time can surely see and feel that change. It feels like the biggest Professional Wrestling company on the planet is no longer ashamed to call itself or be a Professional Wrestling company.
  4. Fingers crossed for a modern spin on the Winged Eagle belt being unveiled tonight.
  5. It was perfect. Probably the single best part of a gloriously overbooked ending stretch. Seth said to Cody Rhodes several weeks ago that in the Main event of WM, 'I'll be your Shield vs Roman' and it was brilliantly done. Roman had already took him out as a threat and had the win in the bag with one smack of a chair, but decided at that moment in time, rather than focus on Cody, he'd turn for retribution for Seth fucking him over 10 years prior and in doing so took his eye off the ball. Seth basically taking the bullet for Cody and again, playing in the old 'architect' gimmick of always being a step ahead. Also loved the McIntyre situation of preaching to Seth for months that he had his eye off the ball and then himself being utterly obsessed with Punk and that costing him everything. A lot of folk not happy with this change but to me, it 100% makes sense with him surely main eventing in Glasgow for the Championship.
  6. A lot of Wrestling starts with the folk who are telling you whats going on. Cole was the scapegoat for the longest time in his delivery and presentation of what you see before you from fans and yet his peers, almost to a person, have nothing but praise for him, even alluding to the fact that lesser human beings would have crumbled a long time ago due to the constant stream of abuse in his ear from his boss (who it should be noted, was not a particularly good commentator in his own right). He has absolutely flourished in the post-McMahon era and this level of shackles being off him is a huge part of why the WWE are on the upturn. He's a lynchpin of the company and you know he does, indeed, love professional wrestling.
  7. My old man went to the Ali Sami Yen about 2003 for a Champions League match and said it was one of the best and most welcoming places he's ever been.
  8. Oh and for the record, if this is legit and not a bait and switch and Khan was genuinely cowering for his life, there is absolutely no gain for AEW to make on this...no furthering of storyline, no positive payoff and you make your talent and the leader of that talent look like a total weakling dweeb because Punk said a few hurty words about the incident in his own time. If Perry had bitched Punk out backstage, made him look a fool and smacked him about, there'd perhaps be value there. But by all accounts Punk ragdolled him.
  9. Absolute carny two bit madness. I love it and am all for it happening.
  10. If you want a 45 minute match with a guy who hasn't worked in so long, then you have to pace it like that to be fair (unless you're 2002 HBK who was a freak). I think the pacing was excellent, it plodded into an all out sprint and that for me, is always good for a massive main event.
  11. Rock, fair play to him looked fucking incredible. A far cry from the burst mess he was vs Cena 10 years ago.
  12. I absolutely loved that. Loved it.
  13. Roman is ripped to the tits. He's always been in shape but this has to be the best shape I've seen him in.
  14. Get those flares to f**k Rock.
  15. You know its good when Cody has the least epic entrance of the four
  16. Everything about that Sami entrance shot was fucking ridiculously good.
  17. That should have been so much better.
  18. Jey definitely in better shape. Jimmy starting to develop that Samoan middle-aged spread.
  19. I understand that they want to be current and the proper GOATS are all dead or not relevant any more. But they have a rapper who shows up on the semi regular in Bad Bunny who is a fucking FAR better rapper than Lil Wayne
  20. The greatest rapper of all time? I mean...what? WHAT?
  21. The greatest Mania opener of all time.
  22. 3rd non kayfabe brother vs brother match at Mania. 10 points if you tell me who are the other two?
