I see we drew our previous tenants at their new home in the Scottish Cup.
Shame they moved home, would have been a new experience for the Wasps to change in the away dressing room.
Open Goal Btoomhill
Let's hope so

Decent win today. I guess no one was at the game as neither team has bothered posting.
Nice to see Tags get on the score sheet, and with other results favouring us, a good days work

I’m not blaming McGlynn at all. Most of us have consistently pointed out his hands are tied by gutless clowns who have stunk out the place from last season. They’ll be the ones ensuring we go nowhere.

Have to agree with Oweny, looked comfortable in the first half but it really was a game of 2 halves.
Cammy had a bit if a mare, ball just didn't want to drop for him on the day.
It is early days, properish competitive games should hopefully jell the team.
Onwards and upwards

Rodden is ok but I think he is not quite the finished article , What age is he ? , Time will tell if he is good enough
either of the keepers playing on saturday would do as backup but hopefully the loan keeper we have coming in is a better option .
Edit ; he is 25
I remember when we first signed Kevin Cawley fro the Shire and wondered why we were signing someone from them
The rest is history

You can only play against what's in front of you.

Aye, some lovely goals, and it's always nice to beat Stirling. Hopefully they can get themselves back up into the same league as us at some point.
I don't think we'll ever be that poor to drop into Div 2

As I said a few posts back I liked Boyd and when he played well he was very effective. Obviously there were complaints that he wasn't consistent enough and didn't always have the end product. He actually played his best football for Alloa when we were shite under Ferguson rather than in the much improved Rice team, although he was shunted around in different roles under Rice.
Have to say I'm surprised he has managed to get a gig in the Championship and for a side aiming for promotion but fair play to him. He does have talent and works hard and perhaps with the right role and management he can kick on.
Hopefully we hear some positive signing news from the Recs this week. Market seems slow in general this summer and we have a stronger nucleus secured than many other clubs, but absolutely crucial we had 4 or 5 decent players.
And a decent manager

The law of averages suggests a club the size and the resources of Falkirk will get it right eventually. McGlynn is surely a massive step in the right direction here.
Around about the 12th of never.
Budget size has nothing to do with it. £1500 a game last season for a former Scotland international being a prime example.
Maybe McGlynn won't be the Falkirk manager that coaches the football out of decent players.
Only time will tell.

Need to read the small print ... purely going by probable relative sizes of budgets at this stage ... until all the squads have been assembled and then everyone will revisit this thread. Still think they will be seriously in the mix with McGlynn at the helm.
So why pick Falkirk? Just because McGlynn is now manager?
Put lipstick on a pig, it's still a

They’ve now got a competent manager and should have a bigger budget than most if not all the teams in the league. They’ll certainly finish above Alloa.
Hell has frozen over.
Budget means her haw. They've shown this by underachieving the last few years.
Same old, same old.
If they finish above Alloa, they'll have deserved it. Not holding my breath though.

Wait until you have a Swatch at Falkirk's!

I though today was GTF day. How comes the Falkirk thread is still in this forum.
Unfortunately it's a wish and not compulsory.

Another cup final for Alloa this week as we try to maintain our push for a play off place.
The team that started against the Heed should start, hopefully Scoogs can figure at some point on Saturday.
How many balls in the railway this time?
