Not at all. You see not every club has the same level of budget in this league.  If the team with the biggest budget spends it as well as it possibly could then they will go up.  For instance in the top flight hearts you would say have done pretty well with their budget this season but are still 21 points off Celtic. Not every club has aspirations of going up. Some will be happy just to avoid relegation.  Some will be happy with mid table, some the playoffs others promotion is the only goal.

    And then there's Falkirk 🤭🤭🤣🤭🤭

  2. I think Cove can only throw them being champions away.

    Champions - Cove

Play-off's - Airdrie, Montrose & Falkirk (Airdrie winning)

    Relegated - East Fife

8th & 9th - Between Alloa, Dumbarton and ourselves, but think we should be ok.

It's a brave man that thinks Falkirk will make the play offs for promotion though. Good luck to them, the championship needs them after all. It's been a few years since Brechin were there 🤭

And Airdrie good enough to go up via the play offs?

I take it you don't do the lottery then?

Does it really matter whose in the league next season? If we're run right , have the right manager in charge and use our budget in a fit and proper manner signing the right players we will have an excellent chance of getting promoted. .

I think you got the nail on the head for every club that's in Div 1 next season🤔

We've played 11 games since he came in, won 4, drew 2 and lost 5.

Sheerin's final 11 games had us won 3, drew 3 and lost 5.

I'm not sure 14 points out of 11 games compared to 12 points out 11 games is "significantly improved".

Grab those 2 points with both hands.

Us wee clubs need to be realistic 😁

Stood near the dugout yesterday and Paddy seemed a lot more involved and in dialogue with Brian than he ever was with BF

Paddy would be 3rd in line after BF's roadie Boab.  I'm sure Paddy will be here next season if Brian Rice wants him.

l didn't clip this one but since I've seen it discussed - you can have a second look at the tackle. For me if its a foul it's DOGSO - not sure how the ref justifies a yellow. Certainly he hits Sammon before the ball.

If Robbo's was a red, this is every inch a red card too. Keeper should have been off in the 1st half too.

No doubt the ref saw the word Rangers, a blue strip and it was all he needed.

Only thing missing was there was no penalty awarded.

I'm pretty sure the manager will say something post match. I'm also pretty sure he'll be far more interactive with virtually all with an interest.

The players morale statement is obvious as is the previous incumbent leaving. Gie us a break and be positive. All won't change overnight!😁

Feed my optimism, that's all I need. Silence doesn't work, hadn't worked for the umpteen years of Alloa silence.

What information are you looking for in the 3 whole days and 1 training session that's occurred since Monday?

Something that we never had from Baz, communication.

The players morale has been lifted now Baz has gone.

Basically anything to confirm Baz leaving isn't a dream.

So if you acknowledge that it is perfectly possible for a manager to quickly identify themselves as not being up for the job relatively quickly, then surely you have to also admit that it's possible for a club to f**k up its manager appointments several times in a row, as we have?

We have went into the most challenging few years of our recent history appointing a succession of managers with absolutely no* managerial experience. It's been obvious fairly early on that none of them were cut out for it.

We punted Hartley after three games when it was obvious his summer policy had failed miserably. No-one ever shouts that he should have been given more time, yet we persevere with rookie managers when it's obvious they're hopelessly out of their depth.

*I'm aware Rennie has managerial experience but not in Scotland. He doesn't have the in-depth knowledge of the Scottish leagues, particularly the lower leagues.

Barry Ferguson is looking for a new club to destroy.

Looks like he's too late then 🤣

Brian Rice sounds like a very decent appointment to me. Bearing in mind who we are and where we are, we weren’t exactly going to lure Juergen Klopp away from Liverpool. Rice to me would be a massively significant improvement from Baz, so let’s meet this with some positivity and hope. The only way is up.

Pilau rice would be an improvement 🤭
