  1. Kennedy flagged for handball after chesting it down right in front of the linesman too...
  2. A loan is obviously not ideal but if our options were take May on loan or watch Dundee or St Mirren take him on loan how would saints fans feel?
  3. Was kind of expecting Scotland would be getting pumped by now so I could watch Love Island guilt free to be honest
  4. Wee word for Saints TV, watching for the first time today. Really impressed with the quality and consistency of the stream which can sometimes be a problem with other clubs offerings, very simple and easy to use site that only took about five minutes to sign up and subscribe to and Gary’s commentary is professional and interesting which is pretty impressive considering he’s probably not done much of this kind of thing before? Interesting variety in co commentators too. Saints have deservedly taken a lot of stick in the past for their media outgoings so thought it was worth praising something that’s being done very well
  5. Late to the party but Polwarth to me seems like another slow creative midfielder that would chip in with the odd goal or assist without doing too much else- so basically another Alston or Wotherspoon. Swapping Scougall, who was basically the same thing but smaller and without the odd goal or assist, for Polwarth doesn’t particularly inspire tbh. We could really use some pace down the wings with Drey out for the season
  6. Bit of an outsider looking in as I can’t get to many games these days but I really like Tony Watt. His twitter presence makes him come across as a very sweet boy just trying to make his way in the world. Like a misunderstood kid just trying to have fun doing what he loves. Pete Doherty vibes. (I’m sure he’s a good footballer too blah blah)
  7. Lovely little tidbit about Frazer Wright putting Marcus Maddison in a headlock
  8. Just seen this Macca pic from the Luzern game on the twitter, never seen it before and I think it might have just became my favourite. Look at the bewildered Swiss people
  9. Stopped reading at the bit that called Easton a right back.
  10. Weird move but I do think he still has a season left in him as a useful bit part player, if he has the right partner and midfield supporting him. That’s something Hearts are probably more likely to have than us, he’d compliment Lafferty pretty well. Leaves Perth as a legend and I can see you all coming to love him as much as we do. Especially if he can replicate this in a maroon shirt:
  11. Williams also seems like the type of player that, if he settles and plays well without being outstanding, we could get for another six/twelve months in the summer. Like a hopefully much better Gwion Edwards
  12. So what we thinking of our window overall then? For me, Scougall and O'Halloran are already proving themselves to be two of the best signings we've made under Tommy, though perhaps O'Halloran less so because it's just a short loan on the face of it. Tanser comes across as a jobber which isn't great considering Easton has been a bit shite so far, would be good to have competition for him. End of the day it's back up left back though. We expected and were promised a jewel up front and ended up with Denny Johnstone and a youngster who looks like he has a reasonable chance of making a breakthrough. The second part of that is only disappointing because of the first part. Johnstone actually seems an alright player and probably an upgrade on Kane and Cummins, but loaning someone who failed at Colchester doesn't really fit the jewel narrative. Not particularly disappointed with any out goings (so far) unless you include Swanson I guess. Everyone's had their say on the Millar situation and I'm bored to death of reading about it to be honest. Fwiw I'll be sad to see him go, but I can see why he's being pushed out too. Overall I'd give our window about a 7.5 or 8/10, and if Johnstone scores more than Kane/Cummins put together got last year (which would mean more than a massive ten) it would probably be the best window Tommy has had here.
  13. Very harsh to lump Cummins in with that group IMO. Competent, hard-working player who doesn't score enough and has been off form for a wee while but he's still contributed a fair amount (and some important goals) over his two years here, enough to consider it a good signing I'd say. Whereas the others you mentioned were either pish or spent most of their time on the treatment table before being quickly shipped out.
  14. I'd agree re Moult but he's about the only good striker in this league in a team below our level which is why I mentioned him. Doolan we could get if we splashed a bit of dolla but not likely, would take a lot and I suspect Thistle would have to have someone pretty decent lined up to replace him as they don't have anyone else up top. I have no idea what Hemmings situation is so I'll bow to your superior knowledge, AgentScotland-Guy.
  15. Hope I don't get you in trouble by guessing who it is Kyle! If it's someone under contract, I don't think Wright or Brown would splash the cash on any prolific striker from down south due to the risk that they might be a bit Joe Garner or James Collins-ey. There's not really any strikers in this league that fit Kyle's billing either unless it's (surely not?) Moult or even maybe Doolan? So that leaves strikers residing elsewhere that have been prolific here before. Kane Hemmings perhaps? Not sure what he's up been up to down south. It won't be May, so only other name I have would be Steven Naismith... I did notice Gregory Tade was unattached as well.
  16. This next level shit... is it someone from this league? Give us a clue
  17. Anyone else think the kit actually looks quality? Might just be that Gordon is an excellent model right enough.
  18. There's a better, full screen stream elsewhere if you look around. I'm using feed4u.net and "link two" at the moment which is decent quality and working fine
  19. The 1884 Twitter just posted them, and Paton has indeed taken the 18 shirt with Cummins now wearing either 28/29, hard to tell. Alston wearing #4 (love that) Coulson #17 and Watson #22.
