  1. Happy with smith being appointed. Getting him in now is good because it gives him time to get his players in and get working with him. His track record is half decent, and maybe had he been at east fife longer then he maybe could have made the playoffs with them, hopefully achieve promotion with us. But im no go take anything for granted because next season will be tough. A bit of decent football at starks next season would be good to see, but personally i dont care how we go about getting promotion as long as we do.

  2. The episode where homer buys an ambulance is brilliant.
His take on gary numans cars song. "Here in my car, i am washing out blood, some of it's mine's but most of it's not, here's marge"

To him treating it like a taxi service. Homer: where you off to tonight?
    Comic book guy: hospital
Homer: popular place, everyone's heading there.

And then saying to the unconscious guy in the back "so, how much bleech did you drink?" And when the guy doesn't respond "not a talker eh?"

  3. Heard it's going to be Jay Stein with Martin Prest as assistant.

Transfer budget spent on a years supply of hair gel for prest?

Surely if they are having a look at dick, but hes go turn them down and the board are probably aware of this, surely its a waste of time. Or do the board stupidly think we are too big a club for him to turn us down?

Re the bates transfer. Surely we had an ace in the fact that bates wanted to sign for his "boyhood heroes" we could have pushed for a load more cash because it was a transfer that him and rangers wanted. Surely we should have been dictating the price to them, not the other way about.
  4. I might be missing the point here, but surely he should be involved in that interview panel, not handing it down to someone else?
The appointment of gary locke was a mistake and i think he knows that. He seems to be holding the info about next season close just now so will be interesting to see what he says after the decisions taken tomorrow.
Who was he told by that bringing vaughan back wasn't an option?
Get the feeling that there is worse to come and we could be going part time, just something about his tone. Hopefully i'm wrong.
I have seen raith relegated a fair few times since supporting them and usually i would expect us just to bounce right back nae problems, but i don't know if it is because of reaction on social media or the season we have just had, but this one feels different and worse.

Did you get to see the handball by Thompson to give the free kick away? He seemed to be gesturing that he was pushed and that's what caused him to handle it, but I'm not so sure. Looked like he just had a brain fart and punched the ball.

It certainly looked like he had been pushed as he jamp, you see it all the time with players being pushed in the air, they fall a certain way, arms everywhere with no idea and intention to handball it. But its the standard of refereeing you come to expect in this country.

Im fairly sanguine about the whole thing. Tonight was largely a free hit and we got nothing from it, but still, it was always going to come down to getting something at St Mirren.

4 goals in two games though, at least we have some faint hope to cling to.

I was the same, thought tonight didn't matter, but a point would have been great, 3 would have been awesome. It all comes down to saturday. Play like we did 1st half against st mirren and we end up in playoffs, play like we did in the 2nd half and we might be ok. They obviously targeted the wings as their best form of attack which lead to the 1st goal. We decided to go long and they couldnt cope with that at all. We were doing well until mvoto, who had done well in the air all night, messed up for their 2nd. Done well to get another equaliser, Positives are we can play like the 2nd half performance showed, when the players scored it finally looked like it meant something to them, and Hughes had the sense to sub mark stewart. Roll on saturday where my nerves will be shredded, and my fingernails will get bitten off.

  6. Nothing against Alloa but potentially they could have went down ,my guess is he would have a release clause in his contract allowing him to leave if another club offered him a managers post.

Wish they had been relegated now????.

good news about mcgurn, well deserved. We need the new man in place (whoever it is) in the next few days, especially now all the info is out in the open. We need things wrapped up and clarified so the players and club can begin to focus on next season.

  7. Hank Scorpio mentioned a couple of days ago that Danny Lennon was definately interviewed last week. We possibly waiting to hear back about that? The only thing is I can't see us paying for him. Maybe trying to cut a deal with Alloa? I could be talking out my a*se though. Hopefully find out tonight..

Would have been surprised if lennon was interviewed, he has a year and a halfs contract at alloa. And the board won't buy out someones contract. Would have been great to have had lennon, but we held on to murray too long.
