Best thing today though, was Murray not doing a Klopp at the end [emoji6]
Well done Ian.
#Murrayin
I feel that’s the only thing that today missed. I expect to see a bit more passion from the manager after a win tbh0 -

I’d like that kinda thing as a universal, as the playing of the National Anthem before all sporting events in the U.S. is befuddling. I understand the concern here, but would it be any worse than a minute of silence (that will likely be rudely interrupted)?
True. I’d actually quite like the national anthem played before every game. It’s a nice touch when the ice hockey plays the national anthem before every match.
The national anthem isn’t God Save The Queen though. Our national anthem is Flower of Scotland which I doubt many on here would be against us playing before every match takes place.
I think the majority of Rovers fans will acknowledge a minutes silence whether they like the Royal family or not. They will not tolerate god save the Queen though. That’s about 10 steps too far for the majority of people up here.1 -
I note that the bit about the postponement on our website also says that the rearranged date of this match "and any others affected" will be announced in due course.
I'm betting next weekend is a write off also.
I know the English leagues are expected to postpone their games next weekend as well so I’d expect us to follow suit.0 -
Craigen and Thomson left because they weren't getting a game.
Well that’s not true. Thomson missed the first half of their first game against Ayr. Came on at half time, missed their second game against ICT due to injury i’m presuming as he wasn’t even on the bench when they couldn’t fill it. Then he played every minute in the rest of the games up until he left.
He left as championship football was getting to be a bit harder to juggle with his family life.
The point I was making though was the poster had asked if they were actually worse but Craigen, Nouble and Thomson were away. All 3 of them were integral to their success last season.0 -
Are you actually much worse than last season? Obviously don't have a nouble type and have lost the likes of craigen and Thomson but I'm not aware of too many key players leaving?
Both teams seem to have similar issues with not having a proper goalscorer so it's sure to be a classic.
You’ve answered your own question there if Arbroath are much worse by saying you’re aware that almost a third of the their starting 11 left recently [emoji23]0 -
Erm Brown has been the captain for weeks. No amount of Matthews is the Captain will change things. Brown is Murray’s Captain whether we like it or not.
Brown is vice captain. Got announced weeks ago.
Therefore as Matthews is injured, the vice captain will wear the armband.0 -
I could be wrong but didn’t smith strip JT from the captaincy and gave it to Bene because he wanted him as captain? This is in relation to your point about managers choosing captains
Exactly. A manager will pick whoever they want as their captain. Just because Murray brought Brown in, doesn’t mean that he’s going to be Murray’s captain. Murray’s captain is Matthews hence why he picked Matthews.0 -
Erm.. yes he did. Spencer or Matthews won’t be in contention I can assure you. He’ll choose his own signing. Scott Brown is his Captain.
I’m not sure if you’re being serious or not. He announced Ross Matthews as his captain. Every manager decides who their captain is. Matthews isn’t captain because he’s a fan favourite. He’s the captain because Ian Murray selected him as his captain.1 -
Murray signed Brown for that job. A Captain.
No he didn’t.0 -

Edited to add the Signing of 21 year old striker Connor McBride on a 1 year deal from Blackburn.0 -
Unless Spencer has suffered a major setback, Tait doesn't make any sense.
Lost an attacking midfielder in Zanatta. So we were always going to be back in the market for a replacement. As long as this doesn’t take away from the obvious essentials in the striker department though.0 -
On Twitter we are being linked with a move for Dylan Tait , can’t see it myself, us and Arbroath apparently
Please tell me you’re not going by anything that David Vize account is putting up. He may be correct this time but he’s far more often wrong than right.2 -

Average age of squad currently- 23Need to add Nolan (#5, 2023), Ngwenya (#15, Loan/Jan 2023) and O’Riordan (#14, Loan/Jan 2023). Need to remove Berra. need to add #23 to Easton. Not sure when you picked for age date, so I can’t say.Dario Zanatta leaves Raith to join Accies…

Cheers. That’s everything updated now. Apologies for the delay.
I’ve also removed Scott Agnew as a player as he’s not on the players page on the site with a squad number or anything.0 -
Hey, can't be any worse than the last transfer window deadline day.
John Sim likes this challenge.1 -
He's not a clown, but he is also not good enough for this level. Waste of a wage. We were told throughout preseason players would only be signed if they are better than what's here. In Connells case it appears we signed him as we had no number 9 and still don't.
Yeah, he doesn’t seem up to much. My question still stands though. Why is he being called a clown? What has he done to Ro Sham Bo for him to be referred to as a clown?0 -
Have I missed something? How is Connell a clown?that clown from Kilmarnock.

I mean, if signing Paul McMullan on a PCA and Jason Cummings on a free a month after he'd been released by Shrewsbury is the definition of us getting the cheque book out then it's not stretching very far.
Could any other team in the league that year have afforded Jason Cummings demands? Probably not.1 -
Nolan, who we own…just noting that O’Riorden is a loanee, and as good as he’s looked, if Lang stays on track, I can’t see him staying to potentially ride the pine.
If O’Riordan stays looking as good and as sharp as he does at the minute. Then he won’t “potentially be riding the pine” at all.
Lang would be warming the bench or even Nolan.0 -
Do raith still have just 1 centre half in their squad? If so I’d fancy our chances for a 1-1 victory.
Nah, after Berra left, We signed Ryan Nolan permanent and Connor O’Riordan on loan.
Ryan Nolan is getting better every week.
O’Riordan, for being 18yr old, looks like he’s been playing professionally for about 15 years. Unreal. IMO anyway.1 -
How do you block someone on here? I’ve never done it yet but I can see it happening soon.
We get our first win of the season playing reasonably well. Yet someone’s still able to pick a fault in Murray due to his celebration?!
Some Rovers fans seriously need to find another Hobby on a Saturday afternoon, as football is not for them15 -
I think Dick was always up against it last season in comparison to Tumilty (who seems to be struggling down at Hartlepool so far), but by the same token he is now benefitting from being compared to Ross Millen.
Nail on the head right there. I said that exact same thing to my mates at the game today. He’s probably not much different from last season. He looks night and day far far better than last season due to Ross Millen though.
By that I mean, I don’t think he as anywhere near as bad as we had him down as last season.
Scrap the striker search or the winger that Murray mentioned that he’s after as well. Get another RB in to get Millen binned.1 -
I'll be surprised if a striker doesn't come in this week.
I’ll be surprised if a striker does come in2 -
already excited to travel through for a cracker of a 0-0
Deal. First point of the season. I’ll take that.0
