"I really don’t get this “it was an even match” thing.  This first half was, but the second was mostly us.  We had more than double the number of shots on target and triple the shots off target.  Entertaining though, good to see a team not stick everyone behind the ball."

I think "it was an even match" is reflected in the fact that it wasn't over as a contest until the 93rd minute. Admittedly the Mo were happy to settle for a point, which turned around to bite them on the bahookey but you could argue that having umpteen shots on target without scoring is a failure to turn possession into goals and could be down to good defending and as the Mo showed, they could be dangerous on the break.

Falkirk were dominant in the second half but if they can't convert and their defence is easily ripped open twice in what ends up being a 93rd minute 3-2 win, then that's a pretty even match in my book.

As a Falkirk fan you see it differently but at no stage in that match did I ever feel the Mo were out of it until Morrison scored your third.

I was impressed with you guys, best team I've seen us play this season. We definitely deserved to win but it certainly wasn't ever took for granted we would. Think you will be right up there in the playoffs this year 👍

You 100% cant complain about our ball boys. I know this because I 100% WAS complaining about them returning the ball quickly when we were leading.

There was a guy in a hi vis just down from us shouting at the ball boy to slow down as well when we were winning so defo weren't at it as such.

Definitely 2 penalties, from the other side of the pitch mo's looked out the box, highlights prove otherwise.

I must admit I was a bit taken aback at the boos williamson got with his first touch, I liked the laddie previously, seemed thoroughly decent and just unfortunate with his injuries. But by the end he fully deserved the digits and get it right up ye's that were flung his way.

  3. On the other side of the coin, if they thought McGlynn was useless and not a good manager to work for, would they have moved to work with him again for £50 extra a week? If I had an ex boss I didn't like and he asked me to work for him again I know I wouldn't jump at the chance like these guys did, which I think tells it's own story on how they rate McGlynn and enjoy working with him. That's a good few players now left their clubs to go back to working with him. Definitely has some clout and it's not just money. These players also seem happy at the club so far and not just turning up for a wage.

Any time the TV companies cover our games our media staff ask ask if we can use their stream. It makes sense given that they have multiple cameras around the pitch giving different angles. Falkirk have one, which probably costs a fraction of those a TV company has, and so will be much more limited in what it can do.

If they mute the BBC audio in order to use FTV commentators then it presumably stands to reason there will be no crowd noise.

The two volunteers who commentate were at the game and doing it live, as was the media officer who did the tech stuff to make it happen.

There was no FTV camera used for the match coverage. It was setup for the two postmatch interviews.

Aye, I fully understand and makes complete sense, just would of been nice to hear back the atmosphere as the young team were in fine form

For me it’s absolutely no coincidence that Coll Donaldson’s form has improved since the involvement of Berra on the coaching staff

Possibly this aye, but more so having clubber lang in there. He is fantastic, not only in his play, but he is very vocal, comanding and an absolute ride

  6. I have no idea where the debate is coming from. It was a stonewall penalty. Morrison has zero reason to go to ground, he is about to pull the trigger and tidser  prevents him from doing so without touching the ball which is a foul.

Anyway, good day, just watched the highlights however which are crap. Just used the BBC footage and muted it and commentated over the top. Can't hear the atmosphere at all. Not sure if thats what the actual game was like as well for ffctv viewers?

  7. Whilst I jest, in all seriousness, that will put McKay even further down the pecking order. Will he be happy to take a wage for a season with no football played meaning no one would be willing to take a punt once his contract is up, or realise if he still wants to play for the next few years he will need to find a club where he features more regularly

Jamie Swinney said in the last podcast he was on that there was a tiny bit of cash left for a loan player. Guess that will be us now unless we can somehow move McKay on

Ahh I see, so random posters on an online forum do not know everything?

10 years on this forum and I'm finally getting there

Given that I don’t eat red meat in any of its forms, you might well be right. As to the point you were trying to make, pure guff of course. Same old same old……..don’t debate the point, settle for trying to ridicule anyone you perceive not to be aligned to message central. It’s nothing new……

No wonder you're crabbit. Missing out on all that cholesterol and gouty goodness

Talking of local football clubs and bridge of Allan I saw big Duncan Ferguson in bridge of Allan this week, presume he must still have family in the area.

His parents still live in the same house on the Glasgow road just up from the hollybank

I always see Stirling as not really a football place, a bit like Perth. I could be wrong but I worked there for a lot of years and only really know one Bino who goes regularly.

Well that's mental. Some of the best amateur teams in the country are from Stirling.

Football parks and astroturfs all over are always booked out every weekend from fun 4's right up to over 35's.

I am from Stirling and have lived here all my life. I know more Falkirk fans through here than binos. Says more about the Albion as a club rather than it not being a football town/city

Stirling Rugby Club is no bigger than Falkirk's 🤣

Talk about a car crash thread!

Aye I'm with you on this. There's Stirling county and Bannockburn rugby club, that's the only teams I can think of at all that play rugby through here 😂

Is that a euphemism for Tories? 😁

They like their rugby in Stirling.

    What is this utter pish?
