  1. I haven't seen many folk disagree (barring Falkirk fans and Lichtie, which I've already said).

The question I asked was whether Houston had said he re-watched it before his outburst. This was never answered, with the usual frothing coming from the usual frothers.

The only frothing that seems to be getting done here is coming from yourself which is bizzare. You seem really passionate about this.

You are having a shocker here mate. Go and sleep it off. You come across as a half decent poster on the rest of the forum IMO tae.

  2. Wish people at the club were more vocal about the standard and quality of the most important part of any football team... The team that's on the park every match day!

True, Smith has a point, maybe Houston's odds have been shortened!

I think Smith has brought this up because he is the chief of the managers union or something. Separate issue from Falkirk FC and Tuesdays mauling.

  3. I'm sure had Houston smartened up his act we could have found a decent keeper, most other clubs manage it, why can't we?

Im sure Houston, along with the majority of Falkirk and Dumbarton posters did think we had found a decent keeper when we got him at the start of the season. He may come good, remember the stick De Gea got when he first signed for Man Uand the mistakes he made. Rogers is having to deal with different pressures as well, hope this has been the case and he can get over them and get his confidence back, as it seems this is what he is lacking and shipping 7 (seven) goals in one game, whether any of them were his fault or not, is always going to be hard to bounce back from for a keeper.

  4. The manager signed both players so the blame lies squarely on his shoulders.

It's disgraceful that we don't have our own GK and were relying on an on loan goalie between the sticks

I don't think it's disgraceful at all if the goalkeeper is *good. We have had decent loan keepers in the past and teams above us with bigger budgets do it as well. A certain team that succumbed to their first match without a win last night are relying on loan players all over the pitch

*Good being the key word here and I can't say Rogers is falling under that category

  5. You are right but it's really shit to watch. Football is about excitement, Although I liked Pressley as a person, the football on display sometimes was awful and would not doubt scare more punters away.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think supporters like to see good flowing fast paced football, not a team sitting in, counter attacking and nicking in and scoring a goal...

    Unbelievable Jeff!!!

Im sure punters want to see their team win first and foremost. I could probably guarantee not one Chelsea fan complained about the manner in which they won the champions league, scraping by teams and sitting in then getting the goal needed to win the games on route to final.

You need to start being realistic. There are top teams in Europe who do not play this fast paced flowing football that every football fan wants to see. Would it be nice to see at TFS, of course it would, will it happen anytime soon, maybe the odd occasion to an extent (taken in context to whom we are playing, spells in the game where this may happen etc) but do I want to see my team be successful i.e. winning as many games as we possibly can as a priority regardless of the amount of tic-a-tac-a on show, too fucking right I do!!

Moan because we don't win, then moan because we win but just not in the style of Barcelona, give it a break bejayz!!

  6. I really hope Bejizm is actually a hardcore Dunfermline fan deep in behind enemy lines, finding out all the history of Falkirk and trolling us all from within. Well played if that's the case, sterling job!!!

If not then he is probably the worst Falkirk poster I have come across. Again, well played!

  7. I have my doubts. Anything 6 figures and he'll be away with the cash disappearing into the same black hole as the other transfer fees and Scottish cup final money. Club will then announce the signing of Lee Miller to appease all the happy clappers.

Think that would appease all you moaners and doomsday merchants more to be honest.

  8. The onef virus seems to have spread to P&B which is a shame.

Some Falkirk fans are a joke!! Obviously like all of us Falkirk fans I want us to do really well this season, but there is a part of me that is hoping to do well just to get it right fucking up all you soggy pant wearing bib dribblers.

  9. Jesus wept, we have played 1 (one) league game. Regardless of who it was against. We have lost one player in Loy that has been a bit of a blow but we had to deal with that for the majority of this calendar year. Its evident Houston knows we need a striker if he giving trials to them. Will he pick the right guy, time will tell, I would love for Miller to come in and do well for us. Either Baird or McHugh playing off his aerial threat could be effective as he is great in the air, (before you start bejizz et al, I not am suggesting we just lump it forward all the time) This is really getting beyond a joke the amount of complete bollocks negativity so early into Houstons real test from the usual suspects.

I am a bit optimistic about this season. Hibs are hibs and do not bother me one bit. I think 3rd should be achievable with our current squad. No idea how St Mirren are going to go, same with QOTS. I'm just glad the footballs back on to take my mind off the knickerwetting of day to day life. Pretty hard with a select few wallopers on here though!

  10. How long has Bejizz been a Falkirk fan for? Since the cup final? With everyone fit (Baird and Kerr strengthening two vital positions) between January and March we looked extremely good last season. In that time we played the top 4 and were the better side in all four matches. Yes, some summer signings last season were poor and Grant and Taiwo took a little while to come good. Looks like Smith might have taken a whole season. But we are where we are now, have more depth than last season and apart from Loy we have lost no quality from the side. I'm confident we're better prepared at the start of this season than at any other time since we were relegated.

But...but...but.....we never replaced Loy last season and Houston signed Morgan and we finished 5th behind bloody Queens, Sevco Hibs And Hearts, and who cares if we got to Scottish cup final, it was an easy route and Houston blew that as well by actually trying to win the thing.

Broken records!! lets get the season started I say, its been a long summer with no football and im feeling good about the team. Not great, but I am optimistic.

  11. Shitty pants and bed wetting everywhere here. Bejizz et al should keep that for there old folks home mentality conversations on OneF.

I for one can't wait for the season to start, I'd only be more worried about losing players rather than bringing in these superstars you old duffers seem to think we should be spunking money on!! A couple of more signings would be great to see, granted, but I'm not going to be frothing at the mouth and calling for Houstons head at the start of a campaign just because Brian fucking Graham hasn't signed.

  12. My complaint with Houston's signings has been he's always just seemed to sign someone who was available and that everyone had heard of. If he's holding off to secure the right sort of player I find that more encouraging. We've not filled the spot but Heffernan being told to bolt made me feel a bit more positive.

I was initially down on the Watson signing but I see plenty Raith fans saying he's solid and it's not like he's been sitting on his arse all summer. McHugh is worth a punt I think, still relatively young and impressed on trial. He's done alright on loan. Rogers is a great signing.

People seem to forget we've barely let anyone. Yes Loy was hugely important but we've signed a striker to replace. The squad is full, it's just that Smith and Cooper were rotten. Not much Housty can do about them this summer budget wise.

    ^^^^^This

  13. I doubt they'll be match fit though. You need to play games to get that and the majority of guys we'll be looking at won't have kicked a ball in any sort of competitive match. They also need to get used to the style of play team mates etc. Everything that should be sorted out during pre season.

That will be because the season hasn't started yet!! :1eye
