  1. OK so it was the U/19s and not the U/18s and he is now 34 and still a great player at our level. Trust he will be our first transfer signing when he is out of contract.
  2. OK, so you are right regards those two but wrong re Trouten. Good to hear Reagan is still our player, but then TMWNN is always the man in the know.
  3. What about David Crawford, David Weatherson, Paul Paton, Paul Carney,Lawrence Shankland and of course the Scotland captain? You are right about Trouten except his age, as he was 17 when he came to us because he played in our U/18 team that won the U/18 cup beating St.Mirren in the final.
  4. Yes he did I understand, but he did not say that It would be the back two rows, so where did that come from TMWNN? If this is club policy it must change. A section must be built at the the north end, of the new west stand for our supporters. Yesterday the guys who were standing did not cause a problem for those who were sitting, myself included and it created a wonderful atmosphere, even for an old codger like me.
  5. Looks like they are moving the two lights pylons at the halfway line, a good move and TMWNN man tells us that there will by safe standing in the back two rows of the main stand, which is also good news.Thought only a Committee man would know that, but of course TMWNN just asked one of them, that's how he knows.
  6. Not sure what inside information you have but I doubt that is going to happen with regards to the league from what I hear. I am not a club member, but I understand that a very rich man is going to underwrite the club going Pro, so in fact it will cost the club not one penny. The money that the club has in the bank will have to be used over a period of time for the upkeep of Lesser and various other things about the place like the renewal of the astroturf etc. Tradition is a wonderful thing but we all must move with the times.
  7. I am sure that we can trust the Committee in that respect. I am not a member and do not know what was said on Monday night. So I have just bought the Daily Mail, re NathanQP's comment, and this is just amazing. His Lordship has been good to us in the past, look at that photo in the social club, what a guy, and all because he played for our youth teams. Fantastic.
  8. I have a cousin who is a Dundee Utd man and he tells me that the Arabs have just passed on over £100k to us as further money for Andy. Maybe something to do with Liverpool wining the Champions League??
  9. I know that, just pointing out the unfairness of it all. Hope you can understand that?
  10. He took our U/18 goalkeeper David McGurn and released Allan Trouten
  11. Being an amateur club is only relevant here in Scotland and I will repeat, only the SFA have interpreted compensation for youth players in this manner. What do you not understand about Shankland netting us £30,000 if he had signed for an English club. Also a couple of seasons ago a young player of ours called Lee Connolly went to Sunderland and I understand that we got £10,000 for him but if he had gone to a Scottish club we would have got nothing.
  12. He never kicked a ball in the Scottish Cup against a Junior team
  13. Nonsense. We are a SENIOR club and the SFA are the only association in the world that have the view that the have. I overheard some committee guys talking in the social club at the start of the season and the were saying the if Shankland had gone south to an English club that, because of his age, we would have received about £30,000 in compensation under their rules.
  14. Yes, but as I think it was TMWNN who told us several posts ago, if the club agree to release you, you can only go to another amateur team. If I am wrong TMWNN will soon be happy to tell me so.
  15. Suprised TMWNN has not told us that it will have to be November, as if we want to offer Reagan a Pro contract it must be before 31st December, when I understand his contract with us is due to end. After all he,TMWNN, has just come from a meeting on Monday night when it was discussed regarding the EGM.
  16. Off course you were, it was somebody trying to be too clever by half.
  17. Your first post for a while. You were strangely quite after the Cowden game. Any comment on teamlinesgate. Your are of course right about young Reagon.
  18. There is nothing wrong with the competition, it's the way that it is run and it should go back to being for the three divisions under the Premier League teams only.
  19. We must play two upfront with Moore running on to Sal'sl head flicks. Galt must play on the left of mid field in a four, where he can cut in onto his right foot to cross or shoot at goal. The wee frenchman and Regan and Block the other tree in midfield. A back four of Grant Little Jamieson and Summers and Willie in goals.
  20. I agree, at the moment the head coach does not seem to know what his best team is. He has, in my opinion, made some strange team selections and the team that he fielded against the Celtic U/21 team was a disgrace and an insult to the sponsors. How could he have dropped the wee French guy last Saturday who has never let us down in any game, is a complete mystery.
  21. If what you say is true Mick, re the team lines, that is disgraceful and I think you are being too easy on him. He should resign and pay any fine.
  22. Yes, with the wrong number on his back, from the team sheet that I purchased for 10p at the game. He was listed as 15 and came on with 19 on his back. This is a total shambles and comes on the back of playing a youth player at the start of the season who was only allowed to play in youth football. Here we are as a club thinking about turning Pro and we can't get the team lines right.
