  1. The Gretna six. Now that is an other sorry tale of how the Club, totally mishandled a situation with members and supporters. So badly handled ,that the then President wrote a letter quoting an act of Parliament, that only applied to England and not Scotland. Obviously geography was not his strong point at school.
  2. I have heard, and understand, that at least four members of the Committee read this forum, lets hope that they can now see how unhappy we all are with this policy and do something about it. Not being a member I cannot go in the main door and so far, as I said earlier, I have not been frisked. However, if I am picked out should I not let him touch me, and if he does, should I 'phone the Police and have him charged with assault? Would that not prove embarrassing for the club when it hits the newspapers? As it surely would.
  3. That is unbelievable Mick and indeed disgraceful, that this is the policy of our club. Note that TMWNN has not made any comment. Questions must be asked of the Club and the Committee.
  4. I have been lucky and never been frisked and this frisking has been brought up several times on this sight. I am sure that several members of the Committee read and indeed post on this this sight, so common guys, you pay the wages of G4S, so just tell them to stop doing this.
  5. If they were well behaved they must have been reading P + B, because they have been getting a real doing on here, all of which they deserved.
  6. That was certainly the case at Hampden recently, their Directors were completely out if order in the last 15 minutes of the game standing up in the Directors Box and encouraging their Manager who was winding up our supporters and indeed our training staff and they were also shouting back at some of our support close to them. Disgraceful behaviour.
  7. Did no one read this post. This is the only way these guys and indeed any future guys did or will sign for us surely, at least until the end of next season. The rest of this season gives the original players time to prove to Ray that they deserve a longer contract. Can't see it any other way. A good point by TMWNN we already have four goalkeepers.
  8. Do not know, but I would think that it would have to be until the end of next season, to entice them to sign for us.I would also think that any of our original players who have signed until the end of this season, will have until then to impress, so that they can be offered a new contract that will take them to the end of next season. Mind you I can only think of about half a dozen who will be in that group.
  9. My nephew, who lives in Rutherglen, and is a good friend of Trouten's brother, tells me that the club spoke to Alloa but they were not prepared to release him, so it appears that he would fit our signing policy. Just thought that I would let you know TMWNN.
  10. Well, that will be down to a certain gentleman who posts on this site, but claims that he is not on the committee.
  11. Obviously not you, but I cannot think of two better players to give us a real push up the league. Both good goal scorers. Three new players signed two of whom I have never heard of, trust Ray knows what he is doing.
  12. Why would he not fit it, if Trouten and Miller would?
  13. Does that mean you think that signing Trouten or Kenny Miller would be step in the wrong direction?
  14. Why were you at the Clockwork? You should have been in the social club.
  15. He is one of the reasons that we went Pro. We should have got about £20,000 for him when he left to go to St.Mirren .Lost four altogether at the end of last season, worth about £90,000 for the four of them. However just received £50,000 for wee Reagan from Newcastle plus another £130,000 from Dundee Utd for Andy boy towards the tale end of last year so got to spend the money somehow. As long as it is wisely.
  16. One ex-QP player leaves and another comes in. Bernie has been playing for EK since he left QP and is a good wholehearted guy. He once scored three penalties in a reserve game for QP and was up against Andy Robertson for a place in the QP first team. Good luck Bernie this is a big step up.
  17. Kenny Miller and Sean Burns both available.
  18. Go away and stop annoying everybody. We all now we were well beaten, but the fans were fantastic in their support for the team. A great photo.
  19. I think subsidised by the SFA is a bit strong. QP built the biggest football stadium in the world , for £30,000 , so that they would get an income from all the big games in Scotland. This was indeed a farsighted policy as the SFA were more than happy to take all the games to Hampden, as they would earn more money, with twice the capacity that Ibrox and Celtic Park could hold and it also stopped the owners of these two stadiums from getting together and holding the SFA to ransom. This was a good business deal for both the QP and the SFA.
  20. That pretend ham string got him taken off and will see him out for the next few weeks. Thomson is a good player but he has a quick temper and is a wee bit like a small Cowdenbeath player. they are great players if in your team and a couple of wee b------s if they are playing against you. Such is football.
  21. Fair comment, but we can only sign players that are free, or we can pay a transfer fee for them. How about Mick Dunlop who is not getting a game at Peterhead and the big centre back, can't remember his name, who is at Dumbarton. In midfield the wee guy who scores goals galore from midfield. Alloa are sure to go down and might take the money for him now? Of course there is also the chance as someone else said of paying the wages of some loan players. Get on with it Ray
  22. I think the Pro thing has been badly handled by the club. I was speaking to one of the players before the game, as I walked through the car park, on my way up to the social club and he told me that the club had not spoken to any of them with regards to a Pro contract and that there was a feeling that maybe they were all on their way out. If that is true I am very surprised.
  23. Your are off course right, but one of your Directors did, otherwise he could never have been President of the SFA. I am sure that, that gentleman that he is, must have been very embarrassed by the behaviour of the other people around him at the end of the match.
  24. The tackle by Fyvie was an assault with no attempt to play the ball and was very clearly a red card, up to that point the Ref had had a good game. Hartely then got involved with our supporters and his team with only 10 men started to waste time and take the piss out of the Ref with their time wasting. When we lost that last minute goal Hartley lost his head as did their Directors. They and Hartely were a disgrace to football by their behaviour at the end of the game.
