  1. It's actually a good tactic from Sevco. Despite all the bravado they don't have a hope in hell of getting near Celtic. Even a lot of their deluded fans know this but their board know the peepul would go mental if they furnished below Aberdeen again. Weaken the Dons and second should be a breeze. Started off with Jack as he's free then when they stared getting yet more "soft loans" go for Maclean. Let's face it as good as Jack and Maclean where last couple of seasons they often fell short when playing Celtic. Particularly Jack against Brown. So signing that two won't make much a dent on Celtic but will substantially weaken Aberdeen. If the Maclean sale does go through don't let him leave until the cheque clears and for his sake he'd better hope he gets paid every week.
  2. Hayes has been unbelievable for AFC. He is now set up financially for keeps and I can't grudge him any of it. Great player for us and seems a decent fella. Classic pecking order transfer job. Jack on the other hand is a little c**t and I hope he had constant diahorrea for the next three years. Anyhow, Derek has a wee bit of cash to play with now. Cormack sounds positive although his interview was short in detail and big on patter., It's not as bad as it was a week ago lads and lasses eh?
  3. Hilarious is a bit steep surely? A manger turns down a job elsewhere and it's hilarious? The long winter evenings must fly by in your house/bedsit.
  4. Just listened to Ryan Jack's interview on STV News. What a total walloper he is.
  5. Even shitey Talk Sport are reporting the Deek to Sunderland link now. Ossie Ardiles? Stuart Baxter?
  6. It should be a f**k off. Full stop. Not only do we lose one of our best players for peanuts we bring on one of celtic's as well who won't be able to play against them ??? Nah
  7. Thanks for the reply. Inverness Reds do drink like fish but don't cause bother. You are bang on about the throwing glasses. If I think back to who was all there yesterday I'd say there were at least 10 kids. Can you imagine if a child was hurt? Not only would it be a disgrace but the weegie media would be all over it.
  8. Anyone out there know who the little, drunk, ugly p***k with the white polo top who started all the trouble in the Queen's Park Bowling Club yesterday? What an arsehole. Utterly embarrassing when the old fella working there shouted that the police were on their way, the bar was shut now because of one of your supporters and that we will never be welcomed back. I cringed big time. Also to the bellend who threw a bottle at the window when an old mannie in his 70's that worked there was trying to calm things down. You are a disgrace. And to the guy in the bogs who was heard to say that the Inverness Reds were involved in the bother I can promise this is absolutely untrue. There were roughly 40 Inverness Reds there yesterday and only 4 of them were outside when the nonsense started. I know this as I was one of them. Really proud of the fans, the team and the display yesterday but the hassle at the bowling club left a stain on the day.
  9. Quite possibly but Dons fans are having a ball right now. Also AFC and the other teams are no longer playing against a club that's been constantly cheating for years anymore so results would improve I suppose?
  10. Exactly this. Sevco are an utter mess and ain't looking like getting any healthier anytime soon. But if you read the Daily Record then all is well so just carry on Peepul. Transfer targets, war chests, investment etc. The Dons just now are playing as well as any Dons side in a generation and Derek is getting the best out of pretty much all the players. As an excellent manger I'm sure he'll move on fairly soon and with the best wishes of the vast majority of Dons fans. But Pedro? Nah. Back home probably. Might be hastened when young timid Ryan gets his arse handed to him by Scot Brown for the umpteenth time but for his first time in a Sevco shirt.
  11. If he's stupid enough to go to Sevco Ryan Jack will get slaughtered by the *** hoards. Possibly not straight away as the fuds will love the fact he's left the Dons for their basket case but as soon as he gets bitch slapped by Brown in the first The Rangers v Celtic game he's doomed. Whether us Dons fans like it or not you do probably need a set of bollocks to play well in a bigot derby, goldfish bowl game in front of so many unhinged morons. He's decent but I'm not remotely convinced he's a big game player. It's often said he's one of those players that you realise how good he is when he's not playing, unsung, spade work etc but this last few weeks I've not been crying out for his involvement. Shinnie is easily twice the player he is. He gets his wages every week, which may not be the case much longer down Govan way if the present situation continues. Don't wish any ill at all on the lad but sign for that lot and he will need to live with the consequences.
  12. He won't, because they won't do it. They can't possibly be seen to use money from a Warchest to remove asbestos and fix a roof. Peepul would go mad.
  13. Radio Scotland sports "headline". "Former Rangers striker Mo Johnston says Rangers need investment to challenge Celtic". Wow!!! just wow. What insight. Thanks Mo. They're now going to talk about this on Sportsound.
  14. Aye, it's an odd one. I live in the Highlands but follow the Dons and have family and friends in Aberdeen. I read our regional version of your local rag daily and speak to folk from the city regularly. One thing always seems to stand out for me as the difference in planning. It seems to me that in Aberdeen nothing of note gets done or at best done at any pace. In Inverness however the cooncil will let any building firm build any old shite with no strings at all it seems despite hundreds of relevant objections. Even if it looks bland or awful which it invariably does. I too have been impressed with what's been achieved in Dundee. Impressive, forward thinking. Three cities not too far apart with vastly different planning outlooks it seems? It possibly shows how inconsistent the planning process across this wee country. Could be political or is there a complacency in Aberdeen? For what it's worth I think it'll get through even if it has to go to Edinburgh.
  15. That's gotta be good news surely?? Trouble with planners is nobody can second guess these folk or work out how they reach decisions. Feedback is rarely good. Planning meetings for big projects should be available to watch online for the public. We pay for them after all. From what I can gauge in the Aberdeen area a lot of it is possibly very political party orientated? I may well be wrong though and am happy to be corrected. Up in the highlands though councillors either bend down or bend over ,and offer the appropriate orifice, to any developer who's willing to build any old shite but they'll torture a guy for having the wrong thickness of glass wool in on a 15k extension.
  16. Folks, I don't live in the city or the shire but I am a lifelong fan. Obviously I can't really get a feel even for how this will go living 100 miles away. I read the P&J but it's the teuchter edition so I don't read it all. Slightly concerned the last few posts are already posting about other options? What's the gut feeling from fans in the area as to how this will pan out? Not as regards the moving from Pittodrie but as to how the planning folk will actually decide?
  17. When people talk about players actually deserving of a new contract it's sometimes lip service. Andy Considine ain't a super star by any means but he has been really very steady for the Dons this last few years, especially since Deek came in. He adapted better to left back than most of us thought he would I'd imagine. Good news and fully deserved.
  18. Boyd was awful. Normally is. Tries to sound edgy and controversial but isn't really clever enough. Bazza is funny, just a wee bit thick. As far as he's concerned The Rangers are the be all and end all. End of. Richard Wilson was a Rangers crawler. Made himself sound blinkered. Tom English was about the only realistic one. I have to admit though I enjoyed the first half hour of the programme due to the big range of opinions. But as for Boyd did anyone hear him in the morning on Radio Scotland? Debate was on homophobia in Scottish Football. When asked his thoughts and what he'd have done to anyone found guilty of homophobic chants he just kept saying he wouldn't tolerate it. "It can't be tolerated". When pushed and asked should guilty people be banned from matches, "no because there's not enough people going to games as it is"!!!!! Real hardliner this lad.
  19. If Hayes goes to Cardiff, and I hope he doesn't, the club should ensure all dough up front. Cardiff are a bit of a mess and the owner is a bell end. Don't wanna deal on the never never. I think it's too late on in the window now to get a decent replacement. This would be hard enough to do with time. Tell them to stick it.
  20. He tweeted his hate Aberdeen text when he was a wee adolescent. I said and did lots of stuff at that age. I ain't gonna let that bother me. I'm a life long Dons fan who has also lived in Inverness all my days. There is a genuine dislike amongst some Inverness fans for the Dons. Not on a big level though. With some it's a grudging respect at best. The reasons are partly due to the ground hire arrangement. That really gripped them. A lot to do with our superb record against Inverness when they were making their own history. No matter how utter shite the Dons were ICT couldn't get a result in these games. Remember Lovell's big ridiculous bouncing lob that went in aff the bar at about 5pm that Saturday? That in particular floored them. Also the fact that their better players often end up at Pittodrie adds to their frustration. This went on when Christie was growing up as a football fan. It's the way all football fans are wired. Hope he does well. Good wee player. I will admit I think I'll struggle with it when he has to be benched against Timmy. However with the form Brown and Armstrong are in Christie and AFC may be with each other longer than this season should it work out.??
  21. Couldn't agree more. Great player but also has a fitness and a desire our teams have lacked for years. What a feckin engine the lad has. He is everywhere on match day. Hopefully others will see his commitment and sign on for longer too.
  22. Folks I don't and haven't ever posted a rumour and this may turn out to be total urine but the word in sunny Inverness is that Derek is after Ryan Christie on loan.
