  1. No newcomers since those early ones.. Alston, Watson, Paton and Coulston. Our squad looks good but many of us are hoping we bring in a striker as the final piece. Swanson has looked really good so far and the rest have looked decent. Maclean and Cummins will once again terrorise opposition defences... firstly Stirling Albion tomorrow, followed by Manchester City next week. Pep isn't allowing supporters or the media to see his boys get turned over by the Pride of Perthshire, understandably. Yep, while you boys are bending over for the Oxford boaby, we've got Pep Guardiola requesting us for a pre-season game. We really are big time.
  2. That's quite incredible that a journalist would come out with an article basically saying I was right and everyone else was wrong. How petty is that? And for his editor to allow it?! It gets a great level of condescension in as well, because transfers are 'complicated and difficult to understand'. If he was any kind of decent journalist he would just be content at getting the facts of the story right (doing his job basically) and quietly get on with the next story, and in time people would be aware of his record for accuracy or otherwise. on another note, why on the Dundee page on the BBC sport website is there an article on a man being hugged, stabbed and pushed down the stairs?? Right there between Duffy signing on loan from Celtic, and Dundee boss aims to keep forward duo....
  3. Fresh off the back of 3 goal hauls against Elgin and Falkirk, and a point at fortress Glebe Park... We will fucking destroy these mugs.
  4. pre-season friendly away at Man City?? >Pep knows who Scotland's big club is..
  5. Definitely. But I mean in the first team making an impact. Not just a fringe player such as Caddis or Brown who, whilst they never let anyone down, never really made a significant impact.
  6. Have a walk around the town centre at about noon on that day, particularly around the mill street (cinema) area where the buses leave from. 50 year old fatties in luminous leggings and tutus is the norm. It's something you have to experience at least once in life. Or maybe only once. Bring your camera, but don't get too close.
  7. Delighted we've got Alston if that's confirmed, potentially a great signing. Callum Morris(no on) a possible if mad Brad heads off to new pastures? A striker as well and that would be our dealings complete, close thread and re-convene back here in late July for the build up to our title march possibly..
  8. There's never any justification for any fans to go on the pitch. It's just attention seeking fannies. Twenty thousand Hibs fans didn't feel the need to go on, is that because they don't care as much?
  9. Agree totally, a cracking game. But will now mostly be remembered for after the whistle scenes.
  10. Na sorry, all this you can understand Hibs going on the pitch stuff is shite. I watched St Johnstone win our first major trophy in 129 and it was one of the best days I can remember, but didn't feel the need to run on the park. Am I less of a fan? A few hundred Hibs fans tainted what should have been one of the best days in the football supporting lives of all Hibs fans. Selfish wee fannies. And if it was just a celebration, why run over and goad the rangers fans? If assault of players is true then that's even more embarrassing. Unfortunately big games seem to bring out the arseholes in many supports. Probably been said elsewhere, but even in victory Hibs hibsed it. Rangers with the sectarian singing and smoke bombs also deserve to be hammered. I'd ban both clubs from taking part in the Scottish cup next season. A fine does f**k all. Until it's punished severely, you're going to get daft wee fannies at other clubs copying more and more.
  11. For sure it's great to see well known foreign ex-players covering Scottish games, but can't we get ones that have a basic mastery of the English language? Its on a par with listening to John Hughes
  12. Great game to watch so far. Football can be really entertaining when neither team bothers to defend! Stokes was excellent for the first 25 minutes, looks like a premiership striker against championship defenders. Shame he's not bothered to perform like that for Hibs on a regular basis. Craig Patterson is awful.
  13. It does seem the decision is based mainly on money. If they were doing it to double the capacity for example then it would be the obvious decision to move, but Pittodrie could be redeveloped to include far better facilities whilst retaining close to the current capacity; Liverpool recently and Hearts years back have shown what's possible in a crowded city centre location. Pittodrie is really poor for away supporters and traffic can be a pain, but it seems all too easy to just sell up and build on the outskirts of town. It's a shame to keep losing traditional grounds in the name of progress. I'm guessing the value of the land at Pittodrie means financially it's the best option to sell up?
  14. One of the most cringe worthy things I've read in quite a while: "And work it did. Your intensity is incredible and I love the sense of danger you bring to every waking moment. You always reminded me of the most popular boy at school: people would do anything to be his friend, and your players would do anything to impress you." What a complete fanny.
  15. But but but... Do the fans sitting in those seats have safety belts so that when the hospitality folk come back out they don't get thrown out their seats backwards? What happens if they have a cup of bovril? Are they politely asked to move to the side each home game so that the hospitality goers can come back out? ... This makes no sense
  16. Those seats that lift up to the left of Swanson.... What do they keep under there?? It all looks a bit thunderbirdsish...
  17. * shoot Past tense was wishful thinking on my part
  18. I don't want any dubiety here... I really do feel Chic Young is a c**t
  19. Surely Richard Gordon should have a button to cut the c**t off
  20. Jesus Christ will someone please just shot Chic Young
  21. Congratulations Caley Thistle, and thank you!!! Have a great night! Great occasion, well done to both sets of fans. I only caught the second half due to work, what was the size of support each club took?
  22. What a loss for east fife, original Bayview looks a perfect neat and compact ground. If you'd just stuck your new stand in at the old ground it would have still been one of the best grounds outside the premier league today. (And probably better than most in the premier for many of us!). They really did tear the heart out of so many clubs in the late 90's- early 2000's in Scotland with the ground changes and 'improvements'.
  23. The Bad and The Ugly:- (pointless rant about folk on the radio I don't like listening to)... Willie miller is very poor. An intelligent guy who just can't be bothered taking an interest in anyone outwith aberdeen or the old firm. Most weeks I think he'd struggle to tell you who the dons are playing in the game he's covering. Derek Ferguson and Chic Young are disgraceful. Either give derek ferguson training in how to speak in the media or get rid of him. It's embarrassing. Agree with the point further up that he actually has decent things to say occasionally during discussions before the matches begin. Chic has never been good and the fact he gets a wage for the shite he produces is criminal. Billy Dodds is poor. John Robertson I don't dislike but don't think he brings much to the table, offers zero insight, as with dodds. Preston shouldn't be on the radio as he's an agent. Conflict of interest. Similar to when Gordon Smith got the sportscene gig every week years back. Biscuits might have something good to say but his voice is terrible so you just don't listen to him. Heshouldslowdownandhavegapsinhissentences.
