  1. Yeah good player, will do a job for most teams in this league. Not the most physical of centre halves but good with the ball at his feet. Agree that the majority of us would have been happy if he stayed but he held off on a signing a new deal for too long and Mckinnon found replacements.
  2. Yeah I try not pay any attention to friendlies. Some players are shite, some are decent. Wait till the real stuff starts before we pass judgement. Although the boy at the back of the south stand on Tuesday screaming blue murder has obviously made his mind up!
  3. Anderson up front is an interesting one. He has the attributes to be a handful up front- good in the air, quick, direct. Reminds me a bit of when Tade first came here. He wasn't a natural striker but had the qualities to trouble teams in this league and it worked great. I'd like to see him stay up top for a few games, see what he can offer.
  4. I mind going to Raydale Park on a Wednesday night and getting pumped 5-1. Grim stuff!
  5. I think Ryan's point might have been that our supporters are pretty quick to dismiss players as not good enough for us, only to see them move up a level. This is probably true of Davidson and Dyer, both of whom definitely had their share of critics. I personally rated Davidson and was sorry to see him go, though I'm still unsure as to Dyer holds down a regular place in that Dundee side every week.
  6. Yeah I'm similiar to a few others. Still to go to Tannadice, New St Mirren Park, Annan and Elgin. One will get chalked off this year at least!
  7. I remember Davo gave the travelling fans the finger as he walked down the tunnel after his red card. I'm sure Bobby Barr played against us that night and had a blinder. As he usually does.
  8. Davidson would be a good addition. Especially if we are looking at offloading fox and maybe moon. He'd be an upgrade on both those players.
  9. Craig Barr saying he has come through 90 mins today with no problems. Put him straight in on Saturday? Or too soon?
  10. I don't think it's anything to do with style of play. Everyone goes on about style, personally, I couldn't give a flying f**k about that. If we win games, crowds will come. It wasn't that long ago that Calderón had us passing wind before having a shot a goal, yet people moaned. Now we don't pass the ball enough. It's got nothing to do with style, and everything to do with results. Unfortunately for Murray, you need hard work, organisation and team spirit to get results, none of which are evident at the moment.
  11. If we are going down that road, we are also comparable to Ayr Utd and Morton. Wouldn't swap places with them.
  12. Yeah I'm with you. I would be expecting this kind of inquest if we were languishing in league 1. This is where we are in the grand scheme if things. Occasionally-very occasionally- we will flirt with promotion but more often than not we will be a mid-to-lower championship side. And given what happened at this club just 10 years ago, I'm really ok with this.
  13. Since when have we started separating the wins against part time and full time teams? Do we get less points for beating a part time team? Last year we didn't have our problems to seek against these sides, one of which has already beaten Hibs and the other taken something from Falkirk.
  14. Yeah, was also there tonight. If it wasn't for him it would have been 7 or 8.
  15. Cuthbert has been as absolute rock so far, looks a great signing.
  16. Agree with all of this. Everything I wanted to say but couldn't be arsed typing.
  17. I'd love to have him back. But unless he's out of contract it's a non starter.
  18. Seen this in the car park at Alloa after our game last week.
  19. Pretty much where I expect him to go, should Dundee stay down. Hope he stays though!
