Good to see both Collier Haulage and the Junction Bar back on board for the shirt sponsorship.  Hopefully more to follow.

Totally agree, great to see local sponsorship

Tranent FC are delighted to announce the signing of Kallum Higginbotham.

The vastly experienced forward has over 400 senior appearances to his name, played at every level in the SPFL, and won a play-off at Wembley»

Very good signing at this level tho prone to a very bad temper, both with teammates and opponents !

    joe Cardle next ?

How has jordan armstong got a move to peterhead, never rated him, terrible attitude towards end of season when wasn’t getting game time.

Must have a great agent !

  4. There is a part of me now thinks I might be persuaded to keep Celtic and Heart's in an 18 team league and they both see benefits with developing players, if only to tell Rangers to get to fcuk when they reapply.

The only way to stave off the immediate introduction of the Conference League was to vote for the admission of B teams into the Lowland League. If you'd been at the Cowdenbeath supporters' meeting you'd understand why.

Give me an hour to repost the 25 pages of explanation and seethe !

Tbf, a lot of my comments regarding the League Cup situation have been (like most of my posts) a mix of devil's advocate and shithousery. As funny as it looks, there's NO WAY the Colts vote and the league cup invite are linked... I honestly thought it was just a laugh to cure the post-season blues 🤷‍♂️😂

I think most knew that but like all jokes, there is a time when it’s all been heard before

Sure, but the OP added the League Cup to the thread title which makes it pretty specific. Happy to leave you arguing about who's getting the invites to your Supporters' Society though!

    Thanks

    Off you fcuk !

For the supporters trust? Was it by email?

I don’t know how good the club’s database is. Connor Ferguson said that there wasn’t a proper database, yet the club must have a lot of info/email addresses from various initiatives like the weekly lottery for people who have a recurring monthly payment like I do.

Plus if you have bought match tickets via ticket tailor the club should have email addresses from that you would think.

Anyway, no matter, sure there will be a general release on social media soon.

It was e mail from the Club. I would think there will be lists for shareholders, 100 Club, season tickets, lottery, fanbase etc so I think there might be a number of different lists

2 years in a row they invite runners up then all of a sudden they invite the bin juice do me a favour. would just be good to see someone on here put there hands up and say it how it is

    but done now

The Bin juice ? What does that even mean 😂 ?

No one at Cowden knows why other than the SPFL statement that as the last relegated SPFL Club, we were invited but a invite two years in a row to different leagues is not a precedent, is it ?

Why not write, if possible in a coherent way, and ask Neil Doncaster ?

you've made over 30k in bending over for the SFA and shafting other clubs. 30k, that's a massive difference for bringing players in at this level. anyone who believes you were invited is a idiot your club is doing favours

    anyway your in now

So what exactly did we do to get this invite in your superior opinion ?

Yeah I get that, think its hard for any committee/management coming down what to expect unless they did their research on Lowland before they were relegated.
As I said previously, I'd be surprised at any SPFL2 club who has just been relegated, winning the Lowland league the following season but genuinely would expect them to take stock and then have a good push the following year.

Am I correct in thinking there was big changes players wise for Cowdenbeath when starting last season, sure it was a totally new team at the start of this season as players left and didn't want to stay and fight in the Lowland or was it the management got rid of players who got them relegated.  I do expect Cowdenbeath to be a lot higher than the season just finished but we can only wait and see.

It was a complete new team bar one player if I remember correctly. Some were offered contracts but refused and others would be just too expensive to keep on.

    lol

Yeah true I can understand your reservations.  To be honest, I think every team who are relegated from the SPFL 2 find it hard to come back straight away, due to the standard in the Lowland and maybe the attitude of the clubs coming down, (management or committee), thinking they will go straight back up and that's the impression I got for most seasons with fans views on here and twitter and facebook etc.. thinking they will come straight back up. Suppose Brechin were the same, finishing 3rd in their first season in the highland league but they brought some player sin won the Highland but beaten by the Lowland League champions and I'm thinking this will be similar for a few seasons. I maybe wrong but Albion are probably the strongest to come down, (don't quote me, only my view) and I get the impression the committee think they don't need much squad change to get back up but only time will tell

I don’t think attitude is anything to do with newly relegated SPFL teams failing in first season.

In most cases inc ourselves, most of the SPFL players leave and you can’t recruit others to replace them at SPFL level due to budget and they don’t want to sign. The LL and its players are an unknown so recruitment is difficult and you have to have a complete squad assembled by mid July for the League Cup which leads to hasty signings.

Is it true that the rules for entry to next season’s league cup are awaiting the outcome of the upcoming LL campaign to see if Cowden qualify on merit or if the invite is extended to the team finishes in nth spot in 23/24

I’m hearing it will go to any Club that has the letters ABCDE in its name

East Kilbride have been chucking the sink at it for several seasons already!

Tbf, looks like Mick is assembling a squad from mix of SPFL, Lowland and West leagues inc Darvel. Wont be cheap but will be a decent Soldiers of Love FC

Don't justify yourself man. Anybody with an ounce of a brain cell will know the the 'blood' money won't be available now. (Soz that thought just popped into my head and couldn't resist using it.)😈😈

Extra wee thought; with all this oodles of money you now have can you no reverse your yes for b teams a la Dundee? 😉😉

I have checked and apparently the vote has yet again gone to the SFA Spam box and hasn’t yet been checked.

If it wasn't us, I'd rather see money go to a proper club and not some uni

    Yeah me too.

They had a good Scottish Cup run so plenty cash, have access to the best facilities in Scotland and still the manager is bleating about not getting in the Viaplay.

Friday June 30th for the big boys from the SPFL.

I don’t envy the fixture secretary his job tbf.

Has very little time to sort out the multitude of clashes to avoid. I’m guessing the LL don’t have a computer that does it ?

Will Hearts be allowed the Friday night they want at Spartans ? Seems a bit unfair every home fixture, that LL lads will coming from work while Hearts kids have all day on the PlayStation or getting a massage.
