I’ve said from the beginning that Price wasn’t the man to take us forward.
Thats twice we’ve been beaten at home ,at least Kirk made the Glebe a fortress for teams coming here.Today Price got his tactics wrong again McHattie was too slow on the left Buckie seen that and utilised it to good effect.Questions must be asked of him for leaving out out top goalscorer for the last five games and when he brings him on plays him in the wrong position. Why were Buckie fitter, quicker and stronger than us,it’s the same against the bigger teams in this league. Our midfield isn’t strong enough too many games against the bigger teams it’s non existent surely Price can see that.Again Richardson running around like a headless chicken.Louden and Scott did a lot of running and that’s all they did.Why did Price take off Handling he was probably our best player. As for the young keeper ,we need an experienced keeper for games like this, another explanation from Price as to why Wilson was dropped. Is needed.
The board throwing money left right and centre for Price and its back firing and going by the rumours if we don’t get promoted this season Brechin will more or less be in the doldrums, even might have to sell the Glebe.
I did warn you all about Price and was laughed at.
There are actually some good points here and I agree with a lot of it.
McHattie is one of the best, if not the best player at the club but he is clearly struggling with injury and there has to come a point when he’ll have to admit defeat. He didn’t play well yesterday and he wasn’t good at Inverurie either.
The manager is gambling with his fitness, gambling with the goalkeeper and gambling with dropping Grady. In most games we will get away with it, but in a game like yesterday we won’t.

Yes on reflection maybe we should have stuck with Simmy and McHatts and invested in a more experienced keeper
I doubted the appointment of Price but Simmons by all accounts didn’t want to be the manager so enough of this bollocks.

Before the inevitable comes, I don’t think Grady was getting anything from that match even if he started.
Maybe not. But the manager leaves himself open to criticism by not picking him if we don’t win these games. He’s taken a huge gamble and it’s not paid off.

Buckie will start as favourites on Saturday after coasting 5-1 tonight.Just hope the defence are on their game and we might see how good McCabe will be in goals.
I’ll bet you they don’t start favourites.

What happened between him and Levein?
In short. It goes back to when Stewart played under him at Hearts. He came in on loan from Man United, acted like he was big time but was basically shite. Levein told him he was shite and Mikey didn’t like it.

Certainly looking likely BOD have had too many draws and Brechin just grinding the results out, how do you think they’ll do against EKFC? Not sure how good Brechin are and obviously EKFC seemed to have splashed the cash in a gamble to go up.
Our squad is much stronger now than it was last year. A lot of people I think are just assuming that EK will go up, but I wouldn’t be so sure about that.

Do you guys fancy your chances in the play off against EK?
I don't see any reason why we couldn't beat them. But like Kev says we have to win the league first. A lot of work to do on that front still.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this exactly what both clubs want out of this. Easier for them to manage on a match day and easier for the polis as well.
And they can both make statements that appeal to their own fan base who will spend forever arguing about who is to blame. Win for both.3 -
Citydiehard doesn’t like anyone as we know but I don’t know why Price got the job either. His record at Elgin wasn’t great particularly the last two seasons where they finished second bottom both years.
Kirk was the best manager we’ve had in years and there’s nothing that makes me think Price is going to be anything other than a huge downgrade. Will be delighted to be proved wrong but I just can’t see it.

cost cutting and adjusted ambitions maybe.....'Curtains for the club'...no chance
Go back to this thread in the season before we ended up in the Highland League. The amount of knicker wetting that the club would not survive if we went down was unbelievable.

Bigger clubs than Brechin are known to have done a bit of creative crowd bragging, the ugly sisters being prominent examples. If a seat's sold, why bother checking if there's an arse on it? Check the money at the gate or tickets sold, add on season ticket holders, HMRC are happy, the accountant's happy, everyone's happy!
Aye, It would probably be more accurate to say the number relates to tickets sold rather than the “attendance” in some cases. I don’t know if Brechin actually do that but I do know a few people who have season tickets who aren’t at quite a few games during the season.

I think they should aim to bring up some more clubs and become more like the North Juniors with a top league of 16 and a lower tier of 14.
No idea if this is feasible though..
Some of the guys who post on here will know better than me but I don’t think there are enough, if any, amateur clubs in the area with the will or the set up to make that step up.

This is always going to be a problem when you have larger leagues. I see it in the Highland League as well. The difference between the teams at the top and the ones in the bottom three or four is huge.
The upside of that is you only play each other twice and that gives games a bit more of a freshness and the games between the top sides have an added significance.
I guess the problem for the Midlands League is they have 20 at the moment but that number is more likely to go down rather than up and 8 or 9 team divisions would likely be too few. Not sure what the answer is here.

When I see a decision like that penalty I sometimes have to come on here just to make sure it’s not just me.

There goes wee Max’s career. Levein teams’ average height for central players is about 6’3”.
Having heard Levein talk about him recently Max will almost certainly play much more than he has done previously

Granted I'm about a million yards away in the main stand, but that looked extremely soft.
I was behind that goal, I thought it was a dive.

Thought we played some good stuff at times today. Agree about Loudon, was outstanding and easily our man of the match.

How would most sensible fans say that? I couldn’t care less about Brechin or Forfar they are just other clubs to me in the same way Shire, Kelty or Albion Rovers are
Don’t like Montrose though and I actively hope they are shite and do badly
Aye ok, you cared enough to read this and then post about how much you don’t care. Enjoy your season, I’ll be actively hoping you get relegated though.
