If we finish bottom and the playoffs get cancelled I’m not sure I could cope with that I’d rather get relegated.
If I was Ken Ferguson I would have quit last year after all the stick he took and actually it’s probably been a huge negative for the club him being involved in the SPFL board. It’s just brought attention on us when realistically there was no other option last year for the league to cancel the playoff. There seems to be some huge conspiracy theory that he is running the whole of Scottish football but that is almost certainly a complete fantasy.
If I was a Kelty or a Brora fan I’m sure I would be pissed off though so I see where they are coming from in wanting their team to get their chance.

13 times Brechin City have been the worst team in the Scottish League structure in 81 seasons (not including this year), their day of reckoning is long overdue.
tick tock tick tock
Great stat. When was the last time before last season?

If Hampden wont have fans then I wouldnt diss UEFA for making that decision at all. When is it they need a definite answer?
Think it’s early April

Would be no surprise if UEFA took the games we have for the Euros somewhere else.

Are you not missing the beautiful game? It’s almost like you don’t want Brechin FC to play. Why so?
I’m desperate for us to play. I couldn’t put up with another summer of everyone moaning about how Scottish football is run for the benefit of Brechin City.
I also miss it despite the fact watching a stream is shite. I think we will have enough to get out of trouble as well.

Complete nonsense driven by the mewling of a Government subcommittee with members desperate to get their names in the media. In their wee world it is fine for 18 players to be touch tight at a corner, but if a goal results then the players who have been tested regularly together cannot then celebrate for 20 seconds, populist, lets bash the rich football players drivel.
If players celebrating is such an issue then surely rugby has to stop completely then? You’re right it is just having a go at footballers.

Admissions aren’t falling though, they are pretty much continuing unabated so far. We’ve had 3 covid admissions in the last hour alone.
Admissions aren’t going to peak until the end of the month.
The scot.gov figures from today say there is only 3 admissions across the country which is utter nonsense, I have no idea where that comes from.
Do their figures not say there are three more people in hospital than yesterday? Presumably some people have been discharged and some people will sadly have died.

Yeah probably but still a percentage of furloughed wages to pay and would the rules allow new signings to be furloughed? Not sure.
I’ve no insider knowledge whatsoever but I’m optimistic that we’ll be able to complete the season after a break.

Maybe cutting wages in anticipation of season ending?
The decks were always going to get cleared to bring in new signings. If the season was about to end the players would have been furloughed.

Interesting... do tell?
We’ve been promised we are going to sign some football players in January. It’s as simple as that.

The scoreline really flattered Brechin, Linlithgow Rose dominated that match and it was like the Alamo at times. Brechin looked dangerous when they got the ball in to feet in front of goal but apart from that they offered nothing. It's a historic win for Linlithgow Rose but tbh it wasn't a terribly difficult one.
Brechin fans are right to feel angry because their club should be better than this.
I’m as pissed off as any Brechin fan but that summing up of the game isn’t true. It was not “like the Alamo” at all.

Incorrect
I have no idea whether this is correct or not. But an experienced goalkeeper would be high on our list of priorities I hope.

Did your manager just sign his brother or something, or is there no relation? Just thought it was a bit funny.
I think it's his nephew

Take away the opium of the masses and things would seem much, much worse.
Try supporting Brechin fitba being off was a relief

Been crying for the last half an hour, don’t really know what else to do. Works been a distraction but it can only be for so long.
Away to watch the penalties from the Serbia game. That’ll put a smile back on my face. It’s utterly demoralising. I feel the same but cling to the hope that vaccines will get us out of this. If there was an end point of three months when enough will get vaccinated it would be something to cling to. We need something.

We (Brechin City) are where we are . So let's move on and avoid recriminations. Be that players, manager or board.
I refer you to the elephant I mentioned earlier and offer the parable of the blind men and the elephant.
"Each blind man feels a different part of the elephant's body, but only one part, such as the side or the tusk. They then describe the elephant based on their limited experience and their descriptions of the elephant are different from each other. In some versions, they come to suspect that the other person is dishonest and they come to blows. The moral of the parable is that humans have a tendency to claim absolute truth based on their limited, subjective experience as they ignore other people's limited, subjective experiences which may be equally true."
I was just going to say that

No Brechin supporter wants this to go wrong but this is a huge gamble. Michael O’Neill wasn’t going to take us into the Highland League. It might well be a genius move but the same people employed the last three managers.
After the last home game we could all attend in February I had a conversation with a director who was convinced that Mark Wilson would be a great manager.

Well I hope it works but that is just mental. A three year deal for a guy who has been a manager for just over a week is crazy.

As well as last week went giving the job permanently to someone on the basis of one or two good results is the kind of thinking that has got us in to the mess we are now. If everyone thought last week that what we needed was someone with experience then that surely is still the case a week later.

I’ve no idea what influence he had. The whole thing looks terrible though I wouldn’t dispute that for a second.
