  1. Looks like this is indeed true..............the smug wee twat will have to call on a few favours from his brexiteer pals to get out of this mess.
  2. I kind of wrote this off as possible weegie shite - e.g. never been a huge fan of Still Game (albeit liked CtF in its day). However, have to say, it is excellent with plenty laugh out loud moments. Agree, it could be quite claustrophic watching something with the same setting in most episodes (e.g. The Royle Family, which ran its course) - but still enjoying the latest series a lot.
  3. I'd have put all of them as relatively nice places - except maybe Boddam. Fort William could be much better, given its location, but is still surely a nicer place to be than Whitburn, Denny or Rigside.
  4. Interesting arithmetic there - bring on Guimaraes and MyPa at Pittodrie instead of Hamilton and Livingston.
  5. People pointing out that someone is merely "fishing" on social media - usually with the aid of a fishing gif or the likes. It's the level of smugness that accompanies this enlightment that can be more irritating than the repetitive trolls themselves.
  6. There's enough in this to be filed as quite amusing rather than annoying - and we all gave it a try. Yours Lazio's new £90M signing
  7. We should still be good enough to finish second again.
  8. This being the Sevco that have never finished above Aberdeen in their entire history. They are possibly a wee bit better this season, but a two point gap in the league after 23 games and two defeats in Glasgow against us hardly suggests it's suddenly become some sort of insurmountable chasm. ........only Morelos, Tavernier, Kent if on-form and The Rat would genuinely improve our squad.
  9. For those of us from outwith the area that regarding everything in that whole bit as Glasgow - this population is probably more reflective.
  10. In the centre everything seems to.............it improves a mile or two further south of the town centre
  11. Agreed - they've got what could be a world class waterfront and instead they've shoved a dual carriageway right along it with big car parks and concrete 60s buildings next to it. Maybe it is just the contours of the land that's forced them to build the road there - but for such a focal point of a wide area of tourism, it could be a lot better.
  12. Barry Robson’s from Inverurie and tended to take no prisoners. Then there was Ross Tokely or even Scott McKenna, from Kirriemuir, who lives on raw mince.
  13. The crossing likely partially down to Stenny's bus parking closing down the spaces, and also the lack of tempo from AFC. If there's no pace to the game. defenders will easily show players on to their weaker foot or into an area where the cross is likely to be floatier and less dangerous. The one wee change of pace we did have, led to great play from the otherwise dreadful McGinn and a bonnie ball in which Stewart should have burst the net with. Other that it was so ponderous and one-paced - hopefully just 'rustiness' as has been suggested..........but practice badly needed for some.
  14. Anyone who suggests a round of “jägerbombs”. Jägermeister is a perfectly good spirit on its own. People that ignore umlauts.
  15. I recall one of my less glamorous work assignments when I used to get punted all over the UK on various jobs, was a couple of months stint in Wigan. There is a certain charm about its historic northern soul scene - but in reality it's a largely run down place with rugby league the only show in town for most locals. The ground is nice enough inside, but fairly soulless and next to a retail park and barren wasteland. Still, they have the legacy of time in the EPL and dosh behind them - so a relatively lucrative and pressure-free move for Shinniesta in many respects. It's very disappointing (particularly as the club gets no fee), but at 27, this will be the difference for him between needing to make a living after football, and being able to be in a position to put his feet up and take as much time as he likes.
  16. Of course, driving across the Tay Bridge from Fife is like the Golden Gate experience, with Dundee playing the part of downtown San Francisco. SanFran has a district called the Tenderloin, which could easily be Lochee - so the similarities don't end there.
  17. Brilliant - there can’t be that many that have a scooby what you’re talking about, but I recall the interview well.
  18. They were out and about this morning on 5 Live in what they termed THE NORTH EAST. Interesting I thought to hear what the people of Buckie, Broch, Ballater or Boddam made of Brexit. But no, they were in BLYTH (Northumberland). Now being a UK radio station, that would surely have meant them stating they were in the "North-East of England". But they didn't, never............and that annoys me.
  19. Coming from the north-east, Dunbartonshire (with an n) is not an area I am overly familiar with. Presumably if you come from there, it's generally seen as better to live in the East part of it? It seems many of the posh parts look to have been conveniently carved out of what passes for Glasgow City.
  20. Richard Gordon is the mere host and not regarded as a pundit - so is paid to facilitate and not offer his personal opinion - that is left up to the expert pundits like Preston, Dodds, Bonner and Chick Young.
  21. We had Ryan Christie last season. We now don't have Ryan Christie. Therefore if Birmingham are open to selling him, and we are in the market for a #10 that can provide a goal threat.............then why not? Unless of course the player holds some kind of personal vandetta and is not open to returning. ~
  22. Looking again at the minkmap http://simd.scot/2016/ - Rigside looks brutally red in every corner of the place, but Tarbrax is depicted in light blue meaning it's a bit middle class. Is there anything else in particular that pulls it down?
