McNiffs been the scapegoat this season so far. My opinion of Lyon is based on last season and this season so far. And overall he's been pish far more than effective.

A poor pre season and cup campaign aside, we are in a new and far better league this season so it's going to be a tough one. It's also going to be an extremely competitive league and other than Falkirk and Raith so its anyone guess who could make the playoffs imo. East Fife are a good side and saturday will be a tough one. Tbh I'd take a draw now so we dont kick off the season with a home defeat. Duggan will be a danger if he plays as he always has been. Really looking forward to this season though after being promoted last season. Fingers crossed Danny sorts out the defence and we announce a signing or 2 before saturday!

Not at all mate. Obviously I want us to get back into the Championship at the very least but if we consolidate our place in league 1 next season in 8th place and then challenge for promotion next season id take that! League 1 is going to be a very tough and competitive league this season!

I honestly dont see why we are panicking. The 3 games in this cup have been against an SPL, Championship and League 1 side who have many full time players in their squad. We have just been promoted from League 2 and everyones expecting us to continue our winning form against teams far better than us. In the friendlies we had a weakened side including trialists against Linlithgow, narrowly lost to Alloa who are a league above us and beat Bonnyrigg. We all need to remember where we are and where weve been for 10 years. We are a newly promoted side from the worst league in professional Scottish football and I'll be happy if we finish 8th this season and continue improving. It's all about realistic progress because we are no Gretna (thankfully!) And I fully trust Danny and Alan to sort us out and have a good season.

Got to say, that John Lambie song was embarrassing to listen to. No wonder we get a bad name sometimes.

I wouldn't read to much into results like that. Alot of teams, especially the higher up the leagues you go, use the matches in this cup as glorified friendlies. If we win tonight it wont change my opinion about our defence!

The encouraging thing about this squad is that we have the firepower to outscore any team in the league. Saying that, we dont want to rely on that and have a solid defence as well as a great attacking midfield and forwards. I think Johnstone is going to have a cracking season and will be our POTY.

Hopefully we get that boy Petkov from Hearts on loan to strengthen the defence. We havent kept a clean sheet in the games weve played so far albeit most of them are only friendlies. IMO we need Petkov and one more defender and the squad will be complete. In Danny we trust.
