  1. The game yesterday was really flat. First half particularly the start of the game I felt we looked okay. We really need to improve on creating chances and being ruthless in front of goal. Goals win football games and it's something we struggle with. This season is definitely a season to forget and look forward to next season with the hope of getting back to winning ways. Off the park I invited my wife's uncle who is a Celtic supporter to come to the game and grounds bar whom he brought a couple of Celtic supporters with them. They had a great day absolutely enjoyed being hosted having a few drinks in the bar. I am sure they will come back next season. If every fan done something as simple as that every season it could make a huge difference asking some people to come a long particularly the B games or have a think about how could we plan ahead and ensure every home game is booked out for hospitality next season. The amount of feedback I have witnessed on how well the club treats visitors at the ground is incredible and something the club can be proud off and can build on
  2. What's the verdict from today's performance? Frustrating like previous seasons we fail to score goals
  3. Won't be able to make game today but best of luck to Cowden. Hopefully come home with 3 point's in the bag.
  4. How's our pitch this morning following heavy rain? Pitch usually drains well
  5. As we have all started to adjust to life in the Lowland League this season how interesting looking upwards does League Two look as a neutral? Anyone from 3rd downwards could be pulled into the trapdoor battle. Nail biting end to the season for these clubs. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-league-two/table
  6. Definitely would be great to get a similar crowd next week.
  7. Today was unfortunate and I felt there was nothing between Cowden or Rangers B. Goalkeeper made a mistake which could have been a different result had that not happened. Didn't see the altercations as went in early before half time. We are definitely improving and today was just unfortunate with a narrow defeat.
  8. Shame to read about fozzy he hasn't been there long and went into a difficult job Fozzy wasn't that far off getting out the relegation zone and was unlucky to not come away with the 3 point's Vs Blackpool Managers these days don't get enough time and seems to be a high turnover these days. Best of luck to him for the future
  9. Isn't it a nice feeling/vibe for a change around the club just now following seeing improvements with recent results. I think there is a lot to be more optimistic of now and hopefully can start to enjoy football again at the club. Hopefully next season we start positively results wise and maintain this. I have been personally critical at some points this season and was starting to feel really disillusioned but I can now feel and see the improvements. What a difference a few positive results make. Start to Lowland League life I suppose was never going to be an easy adjustment straightaway and it's been difficult to accept we are where we are. However there is positive signs we are improving and setting really important foundations for now and the future to get back to where we want our club to be. If we previously had someone who could score goals frequently we would be in an entirely different league position as our goals conceded have been quite impressive and I suppose albeit results haven't went in our favor everyone is clearly working hard all the time for a winning team formula as there is obviously good organisation/structure in the squad to enable a decent goals conceded record. On reflection it's probably been a case of being more patient, trusting improvements will come and holding our nerve as I am optimistic we are hopefully turning a corner. Come on the Cowden onward and upwards. As always a massive credit to everyone on and off the park to help improve and maintain the club.
  10. Frustrating but that's what happens when football is played in our Winter Climate. Shame as another game lost to a Saturday for the community. Typical unfortunate timing too as it's much milder next week. Was looking forward to this one following Saturdays excellent result and performance
  11. An absolutely incredible result and overall performance today. Credit to all and where credit is due. A Cowden jersey performance against opposition who are in the top end mix
  12. If not I'm happy to Private message you a snapshot from the programme on Saturday If your not going to the game.
  13. Thanks I will look out for it in the programme on Saturday
  14. Any update summary from last nights fans meeting. Hope it went well.
  15. Ouch. When you actually look at this league table it really hits home and hurts to look at. Team must start getting their act together and fast in terms of stringing some results together to pick up more points. Definitely need someone who knows where the net is and can do it week in week out and ensure we create chances as our goals conceded are not that much worse of than those at the top end if we are being kind to ourselves. Maybe something to build on for next season and the remaining games by maintaining the good performances for goals conceded and build on grabbing goals. Fingers crossed
  16. Extremely tight league this year in league two from third to bottom making it a nervy next few months for those clubs with the trapdoor. I predicted following the first leg vs Bonnyrigg that although they truly beat us that Bonnyrigg would come straight back down as although they did very well getting into the SPFL we made it far too easy for them and didn't think they looked anything special we were I felt just that poor. Very important result for Albion against them today. At least there is something to play for in league two just now making it very interesting.
  17. I always find the archives interesting reading to look back on from time to time. Some archives can give food for thought regarding previous ideas and initiatives. Interesting reading regarding previous communication's about new ground plans back in 2010 that we know didn't come to fruition due to various factors. If game on tomorrow safe travels to everyone attending the game. A must win victory that will hopefully build some momentum.
  18. On a deep reflection today was actually a hard fought point that we should be pleased with given Tranents great league position. Question marks over the standards on display today in terms of passing/creativity etc however you could argue both sides were at fault for overall standards today. Overall pleased with the point and something to build on.
  19. Hopefully Santa has been at Cowden. Despite me moaning, feeling disillusioned and getting grumpy saying I won't be back anytime soon think I will grin and bare it by going next Saturday. Why I want to is beyond me well I do know as just like the rest of us I care too much and talked myself round in the sense it could be worse that we could have no Cowdenbeath Football Club and we need to fight on to hopefully better days ahead at the club. Nish though could have the last laugh next Saturday following us all being quite critical of them during their spell with us. To be fair he is doing a very good job at Tranent and building on their experience. Wonder in hindsight rather than the Fox appointment how season would have went if we had kept Nish?
  20. No point in getting in a bun fight with Cowden Cowboy. Cowden Cowboy puts their heart and soul into the football club and If it wasn't for their commitment and own personal time there would probably be no Cowdenbeath Football Club. An individual who does not seek applaud or accolades but an individual who solely focusses on the task at hand by ensuring they work hard with their shoulder to the wheel. Merry Christmas to everyone connected to Cowdenbeath and hopefully 2023 is the year where the club can move in a positive direction and we get out of such a miserable season of football which sadly we have had to endure so far.
  21. Yes I know and why haven't we been able to correct it? Poor luck? Poor signings? Poor contacts? To be fair we have tried Sinclair good risk albeit in a lower division before was scoring goals for fun and Buchs last season. So think there is some bad luck for us. Hopefully 2023 will be a better year for the club as I certainly won't be back anytime soon as don't think I could sit there anymore watching this shambles of a season any longer as it's far too frustrating to watch and an embarrassment for us all. 2015 Championship 2022 not too many steps from falling into the East of Scotland Pyramid. As I keep saying I'm far too disillusioned with the club just now Unless someone, something can show an ambitious sustainable vision and direction of the football club backed up with a visible credible plan then that may entice me back.
  22. No idea mate not sure if because of financial reasons as sometimes loan deals you may pay a percentage of the wages so maybe that was affordable in our SPFL higher league days. Kane Hemmings and other Rangers deal days are over I think.
