He certainly should be, only thing that makes me think he won’t is that they’ll likely have nobody in place for the interim period and won’t want to leave whoever they end up with against the old firm for two games in a row.

If he’s not gone imminently then I think they’ll keep him until after the Scottish cup game.

Stuart Duff and Derek Young are involved with the academy. Hopefully their management team would be more successful than the back four they were part of vs Sigma.

Dachau is on the list for us - not the cheeriest of activities though.

I’ve looked at going there on the Saturday, although my hangovers can  be dark enough at the best of times without that thrown in the mix.

Have to agree. It’s being used to re referee games and not for clear and obvious errors. It’s putting me off attending games.

As for last night we didn’t deserve anything from the game and so point is a bonus. Any manager that thinks Polvara should be starting games for Aberdeen really needs to be looking for alternative employment.

Correlation doesn’t equal causation but our record when he’s been on the pitch is incredible. In games he’s started, we’ve only lost to Celtic x2, Frankfurt (he scored) and PAOK (he scored and was taken off at 2-0 up). We’ve also gone onto win vs Hibs and Hearts after he came off the bench.

I've only got 2 tickets for England Slovenia in Cokogne for 200 each ffs.

Look up ‘Scotland’s Coefficient’ on twitter. They’re hosting a ticket swap site for fans of different countries. Having England tickets should put you in a decent position for a swap.

Think that’s the first goal Miovski has scored against us in 3 seasons, so he’s still none from open play. I can see why Aberdeen fans are annoyed, he’s clearly a capable player and a good striker, yet he had zero chances last night against us and let’s face it we’re pretty crap. I get he’s not got the best away record, but the team should be set up to supply him and whatever Robson picked last night had no width or pace to it. It was like watching saints and frankly with the players available you should be miles ahead of us, but you’re simply not. That’s on the manager from an outsiders perspective.

There wasn’t much he could do on his own against three centre halves.

  6. Shades of Glassball tonight, nice to see us play it on the deck but there was no cutting edge and we played at a pedestrian tempo. A sloppy goal conceded thrown in for good measure. Dante played the Funso Ojo role.

Miovski was up on his own against three big defenders. Sokler came on to rectify this but I don’t recall him touching the ball aside from his headed chance. Surely Duk would’ve been the better option.

Fair play for switching from the back five but we’ve now got five central midfielders shoehorned in the team and the full backs can’t offer as much as they have less cover behind them. We went too far the other way after the subs too. Shinnie (MOTM tonight) and Clarkson left with too much ground to cover.

Diving aside, Ruby had one of his better games for us but Gartenmann was horrendous. I couldn’t believe how many times he gave the ball away and better forwards would’ve punished us for it.

Saints were dogged and we were never going to break them down playing that way. Levein will grind out enough results to get them to safety imo. As for us, we’ll be doing well to get 5th.

Read the friendly article in The Herald that's going about, struggling to see why we would take the Gibraltar game. Clarke always talks about "being tested" or "needing tested". Before the England and France games he said that with Euro qualification and Pot 1 Nation League ties on the horizon, we could be faced with opponents of that standard, however again, Gibraltar don't fall into that category.

Is it "an easy tie" to assess players....probably too close to the Euros for that.....is it a way to get some shooting practice in......I don't think Clarke is that type of manager....so all in all it just seems like a strange friendly to me. I can only think that were the only nation that were open to face us at that time.

We’ve been tested plenty and will be tested again a week after.

It allows us to get minutes in the legs of our EFL championship players too who could be finishing on 4th May.

I'm guessing that may be oversubscribed with people looking for Scotland tickets 🤔

It’ll depend on what tickets you have available to swap in return I suppose.

Just home and haven’t seen any of it back. Felt really unstressed for the whole match and we could/should have scored more but we wanted to walk the ball into the net. Only complaints I have are the weather, baltic, and the fact that the seats were back to front from the map on the AFC website, which confused me and my son briefly. Now we can sit back the whole weekend and laugh where appropriate.

I’m glad this wasn’t just me. Walked from the turnstiles in between the stands to the opposite side and back again looking for my seat.

He's had two injuries in his career. In 2021 he was out a couple of months with a hamstring strain. He also suffered a knee injury which kept him out since around this time last year due to it needing surgery. More recently he had covid. It's not exactly the injury history of a permacrock.

I don’t think that’s accurate. After his first one at Aberdeen, he could barely finish 90 minutes despite being a regular fixture in the team. He also missed the end of the season. When he joined Liverpool, Klopp said they identified an issue in the medical. He played sporadically but barely featured for even the under 23s prior to his knee surgery.

Have Aberdeen sold any tickets for the main stand or filling the north stand before offering tickets for the main stand?

They’ve only put the North Stand on sale with 400 tickets left. Would’ve sold more for a Saturday.

Probably because hes been an absolute perma-crock there whos always either injured or complaining of niggles.

Turns 21 in the Summer and has only played ~45 senior games. He really, really, needs a loan this month that will get him 15-20 games.

Really disappointing. Probably the most talented young player I’ve seen come through at Aberdeen in the last twenty or so years. Has all the ability to play at the highest level but it looks like injuries will ruin his career.

Any word on when Northern Ireland tickets will go up for sale?

The Nations Legaue draw is in February with games being played after the euros. My guess is that they’ll wait for that and put a five game package on sale with the two home friendlies and three home NL games.

No, behind the wheelchair area. The first few rows of “seats” only have backs.

I checked my photos from the PAOK game and they are definitely folk in those rows, it’s maybe different for domestic matches.

I don’t want to speculate but it’s possible that PAOK’s mental ultras weren’t all in their allocated seats.

Never noticed before but the first 3 or 4 rows don’t even have seats. Do they just sell these to the bigger away crowds on the assumption that everyone stands?

I don’t think they’re ever sold. We’re not allowed to sell full capacity in 3/4 stands. I think they may be obscured by the wheelchair shelter now anyway.
