Looks like there is a work around for transferring member tickets. You can transfer a member ticket once to another member who would have both tickets on their phone to scan in.

According to various other fans, we have a history of doing this.
Didn’t work for Hearts anyway.

Is it too late to propose some good old league reconstruction?

Pish, extra pish for yous but at least it's not early Sunday I suppose. If there's two TV slots to pick from given how low cash we get for it there should preference given to the tie that has a team out with the central belt.
If Rangers get through tonight then their game would need to be on the Sunday.
5.30pm Saturday would’ve been better. I’m guessing they’ll want to avoid clashing with the FA Cup Semi Finals, shitebags.

I can see us rushing into a managerial appointment, bringing in an underwhelming candidate who is willing (or desperate) enough to join this shitshow and try and steer us away from relegation.
I would imagine most sensible managers wouldn’t touch us with a bargepole until the end of the season, if at all.

Nice to hear a manager’s interview that isn’t full of self serving shite.

Surprised Spittal didn't get a chance as his numbers are amazing. Deserves a chance over Armstrong. 4 Goalkeepers is mad. McCowan and Armstrong if they were both at a bigger club with their form would have been given a chance.
They’re all miles off the current midfielders we have. Stuart Armstrong was man of the match in our last game and is having a good season at Southampton.

Nice. You seem to be the exception to the rule though!
Sounds like it! I thought there had been a lot more available given that three of us were successful after getting nothing in the ballots but we must have been lucky.

Successful haul today. Managed to get two more for our group for the Swiss game, Cat 1 restricted at €160. Also snapped up 4 fans first tickets for Turkey vs play off winner C in Dortmund the day before.
Others in our group got sorted for the Switzerland and Hungary games plus a few for Italy vs Spain. Happy days.

I don’t like the blame being pinned on the referee for Shinnie missing the Semi.
He’s 32 years old and our club captain. He should know better than to harangue the officials when he’s a booking away from missing the next round, no matter how ridiculous the decision was. He needs to take responsibility.

Polvara is really poor, such a limited player. I’m afraid he will look lost against Celtic at Hampden, as in reality he is out of his depth. Granted he has improved but that was from a really low level.
I hate John Beaton with a passion. He didn’t look out of place against some top teams in Europe.

Even if Conway is in Clarke's thoughts for the Euros it makes sense for him to be in the u21s for their competitive game next Thursday at the very least. They're missing Doak and have made a good start to the group which they hopefully won't throw away at home to Kazakhstan and if Conway is in with a chance then he can still join up with the main squad when they are back from Amsterdam.
That’s a good shout. The fixtures fit in well in that regard. Could see Conway plus one or two more come in if there are any dropouts after the first game.

Yes, and good on them. The reserve league however is not fit for purpose and it needs to be compulsory. It also needs to allow the mixing of youth and returning players from injury, as it once was. The current set up is utter shite. I would prefer my team to have a reserve team in a proper reserve league than a B Team in the Lowland League, personally. If I were to compromise on either proper grass pitches, or a functional reserve league, then it would be an easy choice. We currently have a situation where we have the worst of both worlds.
I don’t think there’s anyway of guaranteeing it being a mix of youth players and those returning from injury tbh. Making it compulsory also leads to clubs having bloated squads when these players could be out playing football further down the chain.
I would say a good prospect being loaned to the championship/league one and playing in competitive games is the best route for their development. There is definitely something lacking for fringe players though.

Based on the squad for friendlies, it looks like we won’t have any surprises for the finals squad. 25 will need to whittled down to 23 with a couple of current absentees hopefully making it.
My prediction:
In: Hickey, McGregor
Out: Kelly, Cooper, Ralston, Taylor

If Killie and Livi played on grass pitches there is no way they would have stayed up as long as possible. The ball doesn't roll naturally, making games a lot more of a lottery. Celtics terrible record at Livi certainly wasn't to do with Livingstons excellent technical and tactical ability.
Killie stayed up for years with a grass pitch and got relegated with a plastic pitch.

If Rangers get through against Benfica then Aberdeen vs Celtic will be the Saturday.

I am still for getting rid of them. I think an elite level league should have certain things that are not compromised on. Full participation in a reserve league. A youth system. Grass pitches. Undersoil hearing and good drainage. Grass pitch. If that impacts the amount to be spent on first team players then so be it. I do not really get how some clubs can argue that their artificial surface is good for youth development and argue against a bigger league and reserve league, when both of those latter things would improve youth development.
Livingston and Kilmarnock are two of the four Premiership sides who bother to participate in the reserve league.

Think I saw rumoured £17k p/week. No wonder Dave wanted rid of him.
I’m sure the rumour at the time was that Milne matched the 17k p/w that Sunderland had offered him. Then when Rangers went in for him, their offer wasn’t any better than what he was already on.

I remember saying it post-PAOK, but today is another good example of how much of a gut punch it is going to be to lose Barron on a free, especially when you feel there is still so much to get from him.
A genuine example of a multi-million midfielder coming through our academy and he is going to move on for nothing. A sore one.
We’ll get a few hundred grand and ~5% of any future transfer fee he goes for at least but yes, well short of what we should be getting.

Should be moving these games to Pittodrie and Easter Road though. Was anyone calling for this for the upcoming campaign?
The time to do that would’ve been the first League C campaign where we had 17k and 21k rattling around Hampden. We’re thankfully far past that point now.

A cheery thought, if we make the Scottish Cup Final and finish 11th, it’s likely that we would have playoff games on the Wednesdays either side of the Final. I’m sure they put contingency dates in like that before Hibs Hibs’d it against Falkirk.
Would be some bus parade anyway.
