  1. I’m genuinely interested to know what communication people want.

When things are going bad, no one really wants to hear “we weren’t at our best, stick with us, the fans were amazing” etc.

For the manager search, there’s nothing much more to be said until a manager is appointed. While the process is ongoing, I don’t really see what is to be gained from saying anything publicly about it.

The openness on things like stadiums developments, ticketing, kits and merchandise etc from AB and DC was welcomed imo and it’s a shame that this has stopped. I suppose it was inevitable when you see all the roasters tagging them in posts constantly.

  2. It seemed to be slightly better than usual in the North West corner. Was a big queue outside but was in within around five minutes. I think the stewards scanning and searching people slowed things down more than scanning your ticket to get in.

Well, you were right in that he gave him a chance and wanted to see how he got on against top level opposition, so fair play to you. I think he did okay, no worse really than Dykes or Adams did to be fair to him - but he didn't do any better. If Adams or Dykes had missed the chance he did then people on here would have been saying that Shankland would've scored it.

I dunno, he didn't convince me tonight, but I thought he did okay - some good, some bad but mostly a bit anonymous.

I would agree with that. Not a stand out between the three.

With all the millions the SFA are making from Scotland's success they could use that money to subsidise and help the clubs to make improvements on all the pitches.  I don't entirely buy the weather argument, England has similar weather and all their pitches look like bowling greens, just a lack of Investment. If clubs having to invest in their pitches to improve the overall product means having less money to buy shite players then good.

There’s a huge SFA project going on now funding several facilities across the country. Thankfully it’s being spent on artificial surfaces for grassroots clubs predominantly in deprived areas in order to increase participation and not for professional sides to make their pitch look a bit nicer.

The Shankland scenario has got good potential for irritation and disappointment amongst the support when the lineup's announced tomorrow. Fans and Managers are so often on different wavelengths. As a fan, I'd find it fascinating if Shankland starts - but I haven't a clue whether it will be beneficial for the management to see that.

If he doesn't start then you have to assume it isn't beneficial enough. I'm expecting that he probably won't start. If that's how it plays out I'll assume there's logical reasoning behind it. That's all you can really do imo as we don't have the full picture.

Clarke finally bows down to fan pressure.

By us I'm guessing you mean the fans? From a fan perspective it would be interesting to see no doubt, but I don't think what fans want to see will factor into Clarke's thinking for the game.

No, everyone from a Scotland perspective. I think it would be beneficial for the management team to see that as well.

The opinions of fans won’t come into Clarke’s thinking though, and rightly so.

If he’s playing well for a team that’s winning trophies while Hendry is playing in a retirement league and Cooper/Hanley are struggling for minutes then obviously this will have a bearing on Clarke’s thoughts.

Form at club level and fitness are obviously big factors. Rangers winning two, one or zero trophies in the next ten games won’t influence Clarke’s decision though.

The last bit wrt Hendry is interesting.

I no longer think he’s guaranteed to be on the plane if everyone’s fit. I think it would become hard to justify his inclusion over Souttar, especially if Souttar ends up winning a treble.

Why would the number of trophies Rangers win have any bearing on it?

Also it says QR codes that have been screen shotted will be blocked. I'm calling absolute bullshit on this. I don't think they can do this without having a system in place in the background way more complex and expensive than they will have.

I'm going to the game next week and will screenshot my own ticket to test entry.

Will be useful to know for future games and for anyone who needs to sell tickets or get a printed version for someone without a smartphone or access to one.

If it’s like any other ticket app then you won’t be able to screenshot it. I would be surprised if they went to the bother of launching an app for it still to be completely open to scammers and harvesters like that.

Yeah I love getting up at 6.00 on a Sunday morning to get my supporters bus up to Aberdeen or Inverness 🙄

Whether it's 1500 or 15,000 it shouldn't matter, it's pretty w**k expecting people to travel at that time of the morning especially on a Sunday for a lunchtime kick off, it doesn't make it okay if it's only for a visiting support for a league match.

Why do neither support ever oppose it then? I’ve never seen any kind of protest, even a banner against it when pretty much every one of your away games kick off between 12-1pm.

Theres plenty of examples of fans putting their foot down in other countries and change happening as a result.

Pretty much like we get every time at Pittodrie.

No matter what kick off time Aberdeen get in semi finals the whinging b*****ds complain about it, you had a 5.00 kick off on a Sunday at Hampden against the **** about five years ago and the fans were complaining it was unfair on people with kids who had school in the morning and might not get home till 10 or 11 o'clock.  🤦‍♂️😂😂

1500 going to Pittodrie for a league game is not the same as 10-20k going to Hampden for a semi final.

Always find the bootlicker attitude of Celtic and Rangers fans quite funny when it comes to this. Instead of opposing bad kick off times, they seem to wear it as a badge of honour.

Becoming a real frustration with all the talented youngsters at various clubs in scotland heading south at the first opportunity rather than staying short term, becoming mainstays in their respective teams then going as far more rounded players. Doesn't seem to work out for 90% of them.

I don’t think anyone could blame him for leaving to be part of the Liverpool first team squad. Injuries have been a huge issue for him. Had he stayed fit, he would’ve had plenty of opportunities particularly in the cups.

I’ve no doubt that Ferguson will become an incredibly important player for us over the next few years. McGregor and McGinn probably only have one more qualifying/major tournament left, after the Euros, so he will start to get more game time.

I’m sure if he came through at any other time apart from this Steve Clarke era he’d be sitting on 20 to 30 caps already but this is the best results/midfield we have had in decades and there is no way it is getting changed up before the start of a major tournament. He doesn’t seem like a daft lad and I’m sure he fully understands why he isn’t playing much just now.

I wouldn’t be surprised if McGregor and McGinn are both still part of the setup for Euro 2028 aged 35 and 33. I would imagine Ferguson will have established a place in the starting 11 by then though.
