Not only has the system failed, they’ve also overruled the referee’s on field decision based on a guess, with the deepest defender obscured.
They didn’t even call the referee over to look at it himself.

I don't think our womens players would ever accept going to a smaller ground again and in most regardsbI probably agree with them, but it may be a short term help to build crowds and a better matchday experience. If that comes and results improve, then they could return to Hampden. Being among a 6% full Hampden cannot be enjoyable at all.
We had this to some extent with St Mirren Park. The way SWNT were going though, they had outgrown all grounds in the country under 20k. They had a few games at the Edinburgh stadiums and then went to Hampden as a move to ensure parity with the men (and a cost saving exercise since the SFA had acquired it so no rental fee).
I think there was an opportunity to grow into good five figure crowds and they did get this initially but failing to qualify for two tournaments and a dismal nations league campaign has seemingly removed any feel good factor and reduced interest. Moving to another ground may be a good option but it would be viewed as a backwards step at this stage.

There is absolutely no excitement for these games and even when there is eg v Ireland or England it only seems to be amongst people already with a bit of a stake in the national team.
I dont know about Ireland but it seems clear the England national team and club teams in England are getting support from people who would never usually go to men's football whereas the SFA seem happy to try and dip from the same well hence crowds QP would shrug their shoulders at.
I'd be really interested if there is a growth plan for support for the women's game.
Also highly predictable to hear the manager going on about 70% possession which might seem impressive to anyone not watching the game. Man's a fraud.
I don’t think that’s completely fair. There’s usually regular social posts for tickets on sale, I’ve seen led advertising around Glasgow for the games plenty too. I know the sfa regional staff near me help local clubs run buses to get to the games too. A huge proportion of the crowd will be young girls who play the game.
I'd say the trajectory of the team is the biggest factor. It’s also not a great experience at a mostly empty hampden either, which is a bit of a catch 22.

3000 is a terrible crowd.
For comparison, there was 32,000 at the Aviva tonight.

They apparently refuse to do reprints for Hampden tickets so AFC (and possibly other clubs) don’t offer standard delivery in case it gets lost.
Ridiculous situation. They could easily utilise the Hampden ticket app that they use for Scotland games too.

I’ve heard the new Falkirk pitch has green pellets instead of black which definitely makes it look more natural.

The only one that is currently already in the system that seems to be doing good things is McLaughlin so he'd be worth considering, although maybe there's value in keeping him where he is as well.
An other person I thought of was Rhys McCabe - is his role at Airdrie part time? He's still to climb the job ladder so would maybe see it as a good thing to add to his CV. Been really impressed with his commitment to decent football at Airdrie and seems to already use and improve young players.
The Championship has fixtures during international breaks. I could be wrong but I think Airdrie are full time or at least hybrid.

Nope. We’ve essentially had 1/4 of the stadium on sale to us and we have around 1.5k left so will be around 10k atm. Over 1000 of these are in the South Stand at £41 each plus £7(!) postage charge per order. We may sell out the rest of our current allocation in the West but not the South at those prices. Celtic will be getting a good chunk of the North-West corner of the ground pretty soon I’d imagine.

At the moment I'm not sure he is particularly employable as a manager, if that's the role he would like.
If that was his plan then he probably be better off going into a similar role at a premier league academy. Higher pay, working with the players every week instead of a few days here and there, probably regarded more highly by other clubs for future roles.

Or maybe he wants a break from it and isnt interested amd thats why he didnt go to Forest. They wont know unless they ask. I dont think what he earned in his last job means anything at all to be honest.
Of course it means something. Why would anyone willingly take a drop in salary? He’s only 37 years old and could easily go into a coaching gig at numerous first teams or academies at top clubs in Europe. He’s got Valencia, Newcastle, Spurs and Wolves on his CV.
Nothing to lose by asking the question but I’m pretty sure I know what the answer would be. Maybe for a performance director type gig or u21s job at a push but can’t see him going for the u19s.

I think it would be a non-starter. The wages he’ll have been picking up in the last few years will probably have been not far off what we’re playing the manager of the Scotland senior team, never mind the u19s.

Strange that they even still use paper tickets given that the Hampden ticket app is up and running.

I think it’s more efficient than the pdf’s they had. For them, you had to zoom in for them to scan properly, people might not remember where they saved the them, you could have folk doing origami at the turnstile if they’ve printed them off etc. Less possibility for human error with the app. They were also open to scammers as a single ticket could’ve been sold and forwarded an unlimited number of times in theory.
