  1. Had 5 teams on yesterday. Leeds, Everton, Bournemouth, Man City and West Brom. Bet £4 which returned £45.64
  2. Islanders won again in the New York derby at MSG, 3-2 in OT. Rangers dominated most of the game but Roloson played a blinder in the Isles goal. Despite this we were 2-0 after 2 period with 2 well-worked goals scored by Neilsen and Comeau. Dubinsky scored twice for the Rangers in the 3rd period, the 2nd coming with only 47 seconds to go. However, with 47 seconds of overtime to go Okposo scored a long-range effort to break an 18-game scoring drought and secure the victory. We own MSG
  3. Yes, Islanders won 3-1 against Toronto the other night. Two goals within 2 minutes in the 2nd period won it for us Hunter and Tavares with them. Comeau added another with an empty net. Nice.
  4. Another frustrating defeat for the Islanders last night going down 4-2 at home against the Lightning. Once again, outshooting the opponent (3 games running) and still lost. The first 4 goals of this game (2 for each side) were pretty good team goals. I could take defeat better if the other team was much better than us, but in the last 3 games that has not been the case. Tavares and Moulson are going through a dry spell at the mo, if that continues bottom of the league beckons. On another note, what a win for the Devils in Pittsburgh last night 4-0. Brodeur also got his record shutout, good place to do it. RWB will be a happy chappie.
  5. Put a five team acculmulator online for Saturday. Staked £3.96 on Dundee United, Leeds, Aston Villa, Swansea and Queen of the South. The United and Queens games were off, so ended up returning £24.37 with the other results. Not bad at all.
  6. Islanders had a dissappointing 3-0 defeat against the Canadiens, all three goals coming during powerplays. 40 shots last night and still couldn't score. The last two games we have outshot the opposition and have lost both - not good.
  7. Islanders won 2-1 against the Rangers at MSG in the first of a two-game double header New York derby. Sim and Comeau with the goals.
  8. Pumped 7-1 by the Panthers last night. Not good......
  9. We have a chance, but its too early to say, the Canadiens coming up next week who currently occupy the last play-off spot.
  10. Just watched the highlights of Saturday night's game against the Bruins, Islanders won 3-2 in OT. Schremp put the Isles 1-0 after a bugger up by the Boston goalie. Boston then came into the game and found themselves 2-1 up in the middle of the 2nd period. Moulson then equalised after a terrific backhand pass by Tavares to tie the game, his 15th goal of the season (equaling Tavares's tally). The Isles gabbed the win 26 seconds into OT when Rosseu sent Nielsen away to finish well. Vital win with a home game against Florida tonight.
  11. Quite a good weekend for me with 3 wins. On Saturday, had Real Madrid and Althletic Bilbao on a £3 double which returned £27.23 . On Sunday I had Arsenal and Cardiff on a £2 double which returned £24.50 . I also had a treble bet on Getafe, Racing and Sevilla of £3 which returned £18.81. Just over £70 won this weekend, pretty good
  12. The Islanders slumped to a third straight defeat with a 3-2 loss in Toronto. The Maple Leafs dominated the 1st period(probably the 2nd also) and raced into a 2-0 lead. In the 3rd period, the Islanders started to show belief and Tavares made the most of a couple of powerplays and level the match at 2-2, 4 goals in 2 games for the rookie. Toskala made some big stops in the Toronto goal, before White capatilised on a break near the goal to score the winner. It was a hard one to take, but we can't keep giving ourselves mountains to climb. My main concern is that only Tavares and Moulson seemed to find the net on a regular basis. Got the Bruins at home on Saturday, tough game but we managed to beat them 4-1 in Boston a few months ago so it is possible.
  13. Islanders got beasted by the Flyers 6-2 last night . We only made a game of it in the 2nd period after going 4-0 down. Tavares pulled 2 goals back to make it 4-2, but the Flyers got the crucial 7th goal of the game to seal the victory. Now bottom of the Atlantic division (only on goal difference and on the same points as the Flyers and Rangers). Got Toronto away tonight, big game for both teams who have been inconsistant over the last 3-4 matches. I'm sure The_Belgian will be an intrested spectator for this one as well as myself. On a separate note, what a comeback from the Ducks against the Stars last night, 0-3 down and won 4-3 in overtime.
  14. Had Bayern, Bordeaux and Real Madrid as a mid-week treble. Bet £3.61 which returned £90.56
  15. While they may be crap, fate would have it that I should follow them - and I shall. I take it your a Flames fan. From what I've seen they have been pretty good so far this season. At this rate they will probably finish top in the North West division IMO.
  16. Drat - Lightning won 4-0 Oh well, my mate will be giving me stick tomorrow. Looked as if we couldn't take advantage of the powerplays (0 for 5). Got the Flyers on Tuesday, the basement battle of the Atlantic division
  17. First game as an Islander fan and they win 4-1 away at Atlanta on Thursday. Saw the highlghts, Moulson bagged a hat-trick as we came from a goal down. Tavares scored with an empty net also. Bit of a grudge match tonight away to the Lightning as one of my mates is a big Bolts fan.
  18. Decided to put all the teams in a hat and picked one out to support. The team I picked out at random is.........The New York Islanders Oh well, seen them a few times this season, saw them beat the Bruins 4-1 away probably the best of what I saw. Matt Moulson has looked good this season with 11 goals so far. The last game looked a bit of a shocker, 6-1 defeat to the Devils. The next four games are on the road - Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and Toronto definately a few tough games in there. Bottom of the Atlantic division at the moment, but with the same points as the Flyers and the Rangers - still a lot to play for. 11th in the Eastern conference and 22th in the overall NHL standings. Will see if I can catch the Thrashers match on Thursday night online, or may make do with highlights. Come on you Islanders!
  19. The teams I've been impressed with are the Blackhawks, Islanders, Capitals and Devils. With probably choose one of those sides. The Leafs aren't doing to well at the mo.
  20. Only really started watching hockey a few months ago, my mates got me into it. Just wondering what team I should support? One of my mates is a Canucks fan, while the other is a Lightning fan. Any ideas?
  21. Had Mexico, Costa Rice and USA treble on last night. Bet £3.68 - returned £14.77
  22. Put £3 on Valencia/Sevilla double at 7/1. Returned £24 B)
  23. Yesterday had Germany Under 20s, Wisla Krakow, Schalke and Vitesse to win. £3 on, won £21.82 B)
