  1. Working hard for 90mins doesn't cover up the fact he lacks the quality to change a game. If we are in a battle he's a great player to have. Trying to create chances he won't manage many, wouldn't be averse to dropping him Tbh
  2. I don't think it matters what aitken does. I reckon the board will stick with him regardless, if we do end up down I still don't think he will get sacked, he has proven himself a good manager in the past and I'm sure he would be confident in coming straight back up. Anyway, less of this relegation chat. We're gonna be in the playoffs.............
  3. Early season optimism has turned to mid season panic. Start of the season we were being tipped to be the surprise package of the season, an outside bet for a playoff spot. Now we are possibly 2nd favourites for the drop. Let's not all panic though, realistically we were always going to be in a battle at this end of the table. We will drop more points than we pick up
  4. I can understand the ruling if you have a team of internationals and it will significantly weaken you. The fact that 2 of the 3 'internationals' don't even get a game makes it even more laughable. Not to mention we are part time and moving it to a Tuesday night will be a major inconvenience for many of our players I'm sure. Not to mention fans! But hey ho! Who Cares about us eh?
  5. Lol so 1 player from their starting line up? The 2 others have hardly kicked a ball this season. Running scared of the big part timers! Lol what a farce of a club
  6. For what reason? They got a couple under 19s away? What a joke. Hope they get told to shove it and play the game
  7. We will draw Falkirk or Dunfermline and be decidedly disappointed. On another note, with a couple of weekends off coming up I am going to be able to take in a couple matches, 1 of these being ibrox, what's the deals with getting tickets for there? Can we rock up and pay at the gate or do we need to get from the stadium in the week leading up?
  8. Haha having not seen it yet I will click play. Although I may head to the bridge afterwards, u may find me washed up on the shore next to the stadium alongside some shopping trolleys!
  9. Off topic slightly but what has happened to the sons tv highlights?
  10. I'd love to see Neil Collins back, he would sort the defence!
  11. That's the guy! Cheers! Well it was because of him they got the original game against livi postponed if I remember correctly so I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same thing again
  12. They have a striker that plays with Scotland under 19s, scored a couple against us last year I think (his name evades me) don't think he's kicked a ball in anger this year but apparently he was the reason they got the original livi tie postponed
  13. Why? I think the fact rangers are going for a win at the 4th time of asking totally deserves a league postponement, in fact why don't the spfl shut down the whole card of fixtures that weekend in order that all football fans can witness this historic occasion.......
  14. I used to go to Scotland games, was in France when McFadden scored 'that' goal. Nowadays money rules and I can't justify £45 a ticket plus travel, drink etc. Couple that with the lack of atmosphere these days and the dross entertainment on the park then I don't really see it as value for money. Still obviously enjoy it when Scotland win. Id much rather give any spare money I have for football to the sons, although even that I feel is overpriced but that's an argument for another day!
  15. This season has, after starting very promisingly, got that shakey feeling about it. Morton were at the start of the season supposed to be crap, I think they will be easily safe, that leaves us, alloa and livi for bottom 3. Granted we have to play both these 2 in the coming weeks and a minimum of 4 points is a must. 6 points from opening 2 games against arguably on paper 2 of the league's strongest sides. Since then 1 solitary point. Goals look as though they are going to be hard to come by this season, at least defensively we don't look too bad. I would love to give the lad Ross a go up top along with Brophy and see if that can work. Another long hard season beckons....oh to be a sons fan
  16. I think the signing of Brophy could be what turns our side into a decent team into a good one that could cause some more shocks. If Brophy can get us 10 goals before Jan then that's a good result, I would like him to have a shot up top with the lad Ross to see what a young hungry partnership can do
  17. Pretty chuffed with our start to the season. When the fixtures came out it could easily have been 0 points from 4 tough games, 6 points is a good return and hopefully we can kick on from here and finish comfortably above livi, alloa and Morton. Last night's game at falkirk could easily have gone differently had we not shipped 2 soft early goals. I think a lot of teams will be wary of us this season, saying that we still look short up front, hopefully Ross will be a wee gem and bang them in
  18. Anyone else wake up this morning with a massive grin looking at the league table?
  19. Apparently Morton sniffing around Craig too so would need to want to go part time to come to us. Would happily take another youngster similar to Chris Kane however that is a gamble, May be a plan to get an experienced head in with a youngster alongside? Not sure if finances would allow such a move though!
  20. Anyone know how much tickets for the clydebank will be? Not £10 I hope
  21. Hi guys hope you don't mind me posting on your thread. I do hope this may be of some interest to some of you. McDonald's in Greenock are holding a charity raffle to raise money for Ronald McDonald house at the New hospital In Glasgow. (Was previously at Yorkhill). We have a framed and signed Morton top being raffled off so thought that some of you guys may be interested in buying tickets. £1 a ticket and all the proceeds go to said charity. Anyone interested pop into McDonald's and any of the staff will be happy to help. Cheers
  22. You think you're trolling when you're just making a fool of yourself. Go work on some fans who might actually bite, Morton spring to mind, cheerio
  23. Haha at least give him some credit for being persistent. Obviously we are the richest club in Scotland, I heard Barr was on £26000 a week and got a Ferrari as a signing on bonus, might just be hearsay though........
  24. Please please please, the best centre half if ever seen at Dumbarton. Yes I know it won't happen but we can dream
