  1. The bold Ryan Grant has re-signed for Glasgow, could be a great signing if he's back to his best, considering that Kebble will be out for a while and Bhatti has big question marks.
  2. Overall, delighted with the result yesterday, with a strong defensive performance yet again. Gibbins was outstanding in my opinion, as was Turner who has surprised me with his performances since he arrived. Kebble also played a part in monstering the Ospreys in one of his first scrums after coming on. The Ospreys were really disappointing and ineffective with ball in hand. A lot better than the two pumpings we received from them last year, and a bit of redemption for the embarrassment of a performance against them at home. Munster game is already looking crucial.
  3. I read it the same way you did at first, but later realised it was just the one game. Still a good offer though.
  4. If I read it correctly it's only for the third game that we receive any tickets for
  5. ah I'm sure I read somewhere that it was a tournament this year. Still more positives than negatives to take from the tour but very disappointing to lose to Fiji.
  6. So who wins the quadrangular tournament then?
  7. I've long supported a NH v SH champion v champion contest, which would be quite interesting for this debate. Although cramming it into an already busy schedule would be a challenge.
  8. Fair enough I'll change that to "Europe" instead of "world"
  9. They seemed to be nice and welcoming enough when I was down there for the Glasgow quarter final, also Sarries must be one of the best, if not the best team in the world right now.
  10. Disappointing, flat end to a disappointing season. Made an Edinburgh side who have been awful for an entire season look competent and organised despite being down to 13 men at one point. Also 6 wins in 11 home pro12 games simply isn't good enough for a title hopeful.
  11. The second is even worse, with Bert and his love life playing a key role in the episode
  12. Renewed for 2 more seasons, not the news I wanted to hear
  13. Anyone else on here going to Saracens away? I'm a season ticket holder so managed to get them earlier today, looking forward to it and hear. We have a sizeable support heading down
  14. Edinburgh beat Quins 23-18 at the Stoop, if they beat Timisoara next week they get a home quarter final
  15. Grigg, Hughes, Price and Bradbury all invited to train with the squad too
  16. How many fans will be heading to fir park tomorrow night? Just curious as it'll probably be one of the lowest attendances of our season
  17. Connacht looked like they had more desire and wanted it more than Leinster from the start, congratulations to them, worthy champions over the course of the season
  18. it's also on the video hub on the world sevens series website, I never get tired of watching Fifes try and the scenes that followed!
  19. Can we start a petition to give Lord Douglas of Fife a knighthood for that winning try?
  20. And this team was supposed to be disbanded last year? Wow just wow
  21. the sevens finished 7th last year which was their highest finish ever I believe which shows they are capable of good things (certainly capable of doing better than the bowl competition anyway) but seem to have these crazy moments like losing to Japan in Vegas where a win would have put them in the cup QF. Sadly some of them just seem to only be there for a jolly and a holiday which isn't the required attitude, and that's why we need more pros like fife and Farndale who are out to make an impression for their club
  22. also Fiji are the current series champions so it isn't exactly an embarrassment to lose to them, however if we had lost to Brazil in the Bowl QF this morning it would have been a big concern
  23. Lee Jones at Glasgow improved massively after coming through the sevens as will Farndale from Edinburgh, do agree with the point about Wight though, personally I preferred Colin Gregor as his kicking, leadership and overall playing technique was miles better
