Fair play to killie if they do. I wish all clubs would limit them to 2000 tickets. Other than games against Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen, just about every other game on the road is effectively a home match for both of them due to the make up of the crowd.
Be good to see if teams stood up to them more with them having less of a crowd to back them.
Our chairman has given the old firm the away stand also what we call the family stand in the name of adding another player to the budget. The fans are rightly none too happy.

That'll do for me. Assuming he goes straight in for the weekend, that means every single player will be playing in their natural position. Should be quite the sight.
Only thing is we wont have a recognised left back when playing Kilmarnock 4 times. As I take it is a loan Killie did not want him to leave permanently earlier in the week.

I'd be disappointed at that, however did Goodwin have him on loan at Alloa at one point?
It will be a loan Killie dont want to part with him.

Looking forward to Sunday to see the team in the flesh. Should be a good day me and a mate setting off from Rothesay on the 11am ferry.

I think we'll get by for now with the two strikers we have, given we only play with one anyway. I do still hope a big target man comes in, but even if it doesn't happen until the last minute then I won't be too fussed.
For the most part thought the team looked quite solid on Saturday also looked dangerous on the counter attack. A left back must be a priority but I'm sure we would get by without one for another week.

Actually, it was my brother’s wife who got the story. She was getting her hair done sitting next to John Couglin’s missus.
Coughlin’s missus got a call from Coughlin while at the hairdressers to say that Hendrie had just been sacked and that he was next in.
Coughlin’s missus tells my brother’s wife, she immediately texts my brother and he immediately posts it in b&w army. All within 5 minutes!
The best one was selling Love Street. My brother, div and me completely made up that story at a game away to St Johnstone and decided to post it. Turned out to be true! My brother ended up getting a call from Gilmour to find out who the leak was!
And my my wife at the time wasn’t a hairdresser but I’m getting married again soon.... to a hairdresser. Hopefully get some more exclusives!
Brilliant.

To be fair it's either JJ or Div that can be trusted on the signing front.
The bonus to this, is the foaming mess particular posters get into when JJ posts that we're signing someone.
Agree JJ and Div are reliable .

Fair enough but we've checked plenty of people into the Glynnhill and they haven't signed. Hlovohvsky and Malec were here in January for a week and we all thought that was a sign it was happening. I dare say Verheydt was also checked in for a bit when he was over.
It's still a bit funny to say we'll 'probably' be signing him when there's no suggestion we're anywhere near it at this point.
Also, given how sensitive St. Mirren have been about transfer targets getting leaked recently and how big a chitty the club has within the hotel, I wonder if the guy who let that slip on twitter today will get his balls kicked for leaking who we are signing in under our account.
I'm sure it can be written now as everyone and his dog knew we were trying to sign Isma . But that's ok as it came from a reliable source. Captain Sensible back in the day had a exclusive which came from his wife a hair dresser. So here we have someone that works in a hotel where St Mirren have an account. Until a signature is on the dotted line it's a romour. But unless it comes from JJ it must be a lot of shit.

It wasn't posted on BAWA. Someone literally screenshotted a tweet.
It's some leap in logic to go from a quite innocuous and unverified tweet to you saying we're 'probably' signing him.
Whatever! As I wrote the guy who posted it has been right a few times always a few days before it comes off. Time will tell.

We are talking to him?
Based on one guy saying he showed up in his work yesterday we are now talking to him?
That's some leap in logic.
The guy who post it on BAWA has been right a few times.

Gie's a (left back, centre forward, right wing, centre half) signing!
Would be surprised if a left back is not in probably Louis Nganioni as we are taking to him apparently. Would think McAllister also though the latter will be taking a large cut in wages so he might have options.

Given the way Matthew writes, that guy’s surname could be literally anything.
Louis Nganioni French left back played at a good level.

I’d settle for Jim Goodwin being the new Jack Ross.
Superior as you will see as the season goes on.

Kyle would be shite at left back
Have to agree on that. Jokes aside left back is a priority plus McAllister would be very very nice.

Left back please.

Never change.
In a season where his results include failing to score against the 2nd worst SPFL team of last season, and a Lowland League side, you've just declaed Goodwin the new Ferguson.
I take it thats it confirmed that you are Tony Fitzpatrick?
Who said Jim Goodwin is the new Fergie ? You did because you cant read properly. Oh dear. Set up a team tacitly that was quite simlour to Fergie does not mean Goodwin is the new Fergie. Feel free to keep spinning what is not there

St Mirren will make it very hard on sunday to break them down. Aberdeen may be without McKenna and will be off the back of a tough shift in the heat of croatia. They do however have a bit more depth this season to freshen the team up like they showed against hearts.
If I was to put money on this game you would go for Aberdeen but I'm a buddie so cant do that. Think your going to be quite surprised by just how attacking Jim Goodwin is, the way we played on Saturday was hints of what is to come. It reminded me the way Fergie set up his teams when at St Mirren. Heard another older fan say the same thing. So my friend you are in for a good game.

Dons fans should get there nice and early, don’t photocopy your tickets trying to get five mates in, don’t break down any fencing, don’t bounce on the heads of anyone in wheelchairs, and stay off the big green grassy area in front of your stand, should you score a goal. This next piece of advice is important.... should you find yourselves in a queue at the turnstiles and feel another Hillsborough is about to happen, don’t panic. St Mirren Park is an outdoor sporting venue, there’s lots of open space on all sides - we refer to it as ‘the rest of the planet’.
You’ll be fine. Enjoy your visit to the Simple Digital Twenny Twenny Wan Theatre of Bad Dreams.
What about the game ?

You play the striker who is on form not who you think will be on form. Most games it will be one up front with an attacking midfield as such the forward line will be chopped and changed a lot. I'm not overly worried we have a solid team. Fingers crossed I think Goodwin will have us safe.
