That's the problem at this level with players that you are never going to get players that play great week in and week out especially with goalkeepers as last season showed with Waters came in and at first he was outstanding then all of a sudden he was dreadful and Gibson came back in and was very good and this season he has mostly been good up until last week. We really were spoiled when we had Martin in goals as he just made everything look so easy!

I would guess they would only budget to make the 2nd round or possibly the 3rd round so hopefully the additional money earned from winning the 3rd tie helps us this month.

Well hopefully the two we are getting in the next day or so can help give the squad a lift. Just hope whatever the injury that Fergie has doesn't have him out for too long and hopefully the two players tomorrow pass the fitness tests.

It's a bit of a gamble to maybe spend money that we don't have to help us win the cup game and like you say we could get a horrible draw in the next round that makes up nothing and we are out the cup with a struggle to find ways of plugging another budget deficit.

It's the league game next week against Stirling. I think the cup game is later in January. I have always hoped BF could do it but I'm seriously worried now and this seems to be more than just a slump and shipping way too many goals. Thank god we have MacDonald as we would really be in trouble without him!

If it saves the club money from the high stewarding costs we have then it sounds like a good idea.

Next time you are at a home game approach the guys that sit up in the directors box and ask them this question. I'm sure they would answer the question no bother but I'm sure you would probably rather just complain about it instead of a message board.

When you sign players like him you have to deal with the fact at times he is going to be greedy and shoot instead of passing, but when you think of some of the garbage players we have had endure in recent years it was great to see a player that wanted the ball all the time and could beat players and score the goal he scored on the first league game of the season.
