  1. The problem with people like you is that you base the future on the past. No wonder right-wing politics are so far outdated. The politics aim to change nothing, despite past failures. It's like repeating the same mistakes over and over again (to stay true to the past) and expecting different results.

This guys is the most stupid of all posters and that's including SSI, Panda, Colgimbecile and Baxter......sheeeeeeeeesh

  2. I see that I'm talking to people who don't know anything about history or indeed its habit of repeating itself. Until there are some people who take the time to read and understand, I'm out.....Most of you are thick

  3. Clarkston being proud of our nhs and social security system at the same time as slating left wing liberals is quite amusing, and just a tad ironic

I never said I was proud of it. Try reading and stop posting......

  4. Kind of like how the English now control Scotland in a peaceful way. But you don't seem anywhere near as outraged about that. Just as long as it's not them nasty Germans eh?

    go away rico

  5. You're sounding like a Nat.

What immigration? All we have are Daily Mail Little Englanders and NIMBYs who don't what their immigrants affected. Even Farage's wife and kids are immigrant/ half-immigrant. Probably most of us here have at least one parent, grand-parent, wife, partner, spouse whatever who is an 'immigrant'. It's nonsense to try to 'stop' this and the 'threat' of the 'outsider' is one that has been played time and time again by those in power to cover up their own failures.

    As to Germany, bollox.

No I'm not actually because Salmond wanted to join the EU.

Immigration in terms of open borders without any controls that we set up. For example we have a skills shortage we should be able to enable people with those skills to come in and as for context and history in this debate, these are obviated by all liberals. We now have a generous benefits system which can be taken advantage of as well as health care which can also be taken advantage of. I think anyone who comes here is right to take advantage of these and I treat them with the same respect i treat everyone with when i come across them.

It's the inept politicians I take issue with. They are indeed failures.

As for Germany, did you know that they recruited Bolsheviks in 1917 and indeed one famous one to instigate a revolution? Also Merkel warned Russia about Ukrainian intervention which I'm surprised at because they played their hand. normally they let the US and the UK use the "warning" rhetoric. Germany have always wanted to control Europe and they are doing a good job

  6. I think UKIP are a joke of a party but the majority of people do want some controls placed on immigration. In the US, they don't talk about "NET" immigration. It's absolutely ridiculous that we can't decide on our own governance and is another example of Germany running Europe (dictating terms on debt and immigration etc). I said that economic and political control of Europe including the Eastern European countries has been Germany's aim since 1917 and it's continued apace. Only now they do it in a peaceful way, making the odd threat of expulsion if anyone disagrees with them.

  7. So this woman makes a mistake and as a result feminism should be trashed and ridiculed?

You make a tit of yourself every day on here and yet we don't say anything still have to put up with you.

Not feminism. It's Charlie Webster. She's an attention seeker. "I made a mistake" is fine when it's of a matter of little consequence but in this context, she's a joke and like you a bad one.

That "tit" thing, that's you although SSI is a bigger one tbf.

  8.   Woah, chill brah.

Her "endorsement" was something about seeing him and not getting a photo. I think the most likely scenario was that she was not thinking of him for the conviction he received when she was nine years old but for the mainstream star of sport and film that he's been for her entire adult life. Still very absent-minded and ignorant but that's why she's apologised.

Even given that, there isn't anything - forgetting someone's criminal record or getting your kit off for a magazine included - that illegitimises a woman's (or anyone's) right to stand up for gender equality or oppose rape. Most people will agree with, not try and pick holes in Webster's stance on opposing rape. That's where society is now, try and deal with it.

I'm chilled. you're pathetic and emoticons to try and get a response? Yep childish nonsense.

It is of no consequence that "she didn't know". That could be her being economical with the truth.

As for where society is. Webster was criticized by her work colleagues for the FHM photo shoot and they work in the media. Add thick to pathetic = you :1eye

  9. I'd never heard of the Mike Tyson thing, although I've just googled it and she has directly apologised for it. Does a mistake that she's apologised for make her objection to a rapist being employed by the club she patronises illegitimate? No, obviously not. If her tweeting something about Mike Tyson and FHM had any relation, then I could accept that the former was the "key part" of the argument, but they don't.

That tweet has absolutely no relation to your idea that posing for FHM should impact on her attitudes towards rape and/or gender equality. It really is a creepy attitude to have, although sadly not a surprise.

I think admitting her mistake was very "big" of her. However she's endorsed a convicted rapist who happens to be a sportsman and then she wants to condemn another. A "mistake" like that is one that means she has no credibility.

There was no link to the FHM photo shoot but it's another example of her lack of credibility. She claims to be a feminist and the feminist movement abhor that because it allows women to be objectified.

Calling people "creepy" Just what I thought, you're pathetic

  10. There's a very good reason that I didn't ask you to follow up on why Charlie Webster's position on Evans was contradictory. Because I knew your reasoning would be something absolutely idiotic like "these Sky Sports women wear skimpy clothes and yet she still complains about rape", and I had no interest in hearing such disgusting drivel.

But you've posted almost exactly what I expected anyway. She's been in FHM and therefore shouldn't expect gender equality . Utter, utter lunacy.

And yes, feel free to get it back on topic. It was you who brought up Sports Personality of the Year in the Politics forum, as if it actually matters or has any relevance to political issues. If you've finished with that, I think that is best for all of us.

Ah you missed out the Mike Tyson reference you cheeky little chappie. That's why she's a hypocrite but as for posing for girlie photos which objectify the model and then claiming to stand for "equality", I'd say that's a confused view to have. Her article in The New Statesman was particularly hilarious; "we need to include everybody" but she did say she was "confused". Yep spot on about that yin.

Right that's me finished with that. You should never leave out the key part of an argument and then try being a wido. ;)

  11. Aye nobody cares apart from Charlie Webster and the people that gave them them the award.

I'd imagine the award is for the achievement of the year, not being the best at that sport. Nobody is saying the England's women's team is the best squad of rugby players on earth but they are a British sports team that won a World Cup this year, so fair enough really.

If award ceremonies and TV presenters who object to rape are your big concerns, I'd suggest you've got your priorities wrong.

Really? I take it you mean Charlie Webster? The same person who tweeted about how great Mike Tyson is. The same person who posed for FHM and yet claims to stand for equality for women. Charlie Webster is an attention seeking idiot. Same with Russel Brand (hope you don't mind me going back on topic?) who slavers about equality and yet earns millions, doesn't donate any REALLY serious wedge of that to his "charities" and then doesn't mind immigration without any controls which is what people actually want.

Then we can stop talking about "NET" immigration. Unfortunately we can't stop talking about the hypocritical BS that comes from the liberal left which includes whoppers like "progressive society" and "fair and diverse"..........."as long as you agree to all our contradictions which we don't understand ourselves"

  12. Well we know how much you right wing extremist lot prefer to slap women rather than clap them.

You live in a right-wing utopia where only tall white christian men come in 1st place. (They probably have blue eyes and blond hair as well...)

    Hiya Rico

  13. Standing ovations at awards ceremonies. It Really Is PC Gone Mad.

Nah it was more along the lines of nobody caring except Charlie Webster who is a mass of contradictions much like the entire political liberal left. Women are better at some and as good as men at certain things and vice versa. The feminist mob don't want to allow that distinction. That IS mad

  14. Nice to see you venting your leftie extreme views Rico. Did you catch the SPOTY awards? Charlie Webster gave a one woman standing ovation to the women's rugby team. Tremendous stuff eh? We need to pretend to enjoy watching these sports and indulging people who have no idea what they're doing because otherwise we'll be like Nazi Germany in no time.

As for UKIP, they're a joke of a party but the issues they raise are shared by many people so we need to ignore them all in the interests of equality

  15. Casting for Jessie Custer should be interesting. Ben Affleck and Nicholas Cage were two possibles in the past but I think Timothy Olyphant would be a good shout with the part of Cassidy going to the guy who played Nidge in Love/Hate.

  16. Effectively this. If you're booing him out of some actual rooted reason, you're probably a bit of a thicko. I booed him because I like booing. I'm really good at it. I booed our ref at Sunday league because he gave fouls against us. I booed my sister for buying pish trainers the other week.

    BOOOOOOOO.

How about people who claim to support Scotland but might not actually support them? in fact, they might not like the team very much?

    BOOOOOOOOOOOO

  17. I think Ireland appear to have another fan on here :o He'll be along to discuss the "irony" of this tear stained post referendum post. I would point out it was in the "will you support Scotland thread"

I'm supporting Ireland. Ireland faced genuine resistance in the way of them being able to "be a nation again", but they went and did it because they knew they could do it. All we faced was the least convincing political campaign ever which basically said "careful now" and we shat our wee pants.

I hate how we think we're this proud wee quirky nation because we dress up in skirts and play the bagpipes, but when it comes to demanding the right to have our own powers and make politicians accountable to us (what being a nation should be about) we don't want it. I hope Scotland get pumped and Euro 2016 is for countries only.
