I see Twitter is warming up ahead of the top of the table clash this weekend.

    Should be a cracker.

Any insight for us who don't have a crystal ball?

I would agree with this Redondo. Two hard games after a tough final. If they come through this three unscathed it will be a two horse race between them and CP

CP -2 against stpats this Saturday. Where is it being played btw? Could be worth watching.

Have St Pats not already beaten Colville a couple of times this season? A bit disrespectful that -2 chat. But then again, you do like to lick Mick and Colville's arse on here :P

Is the csafl struggling to attract decent teams to goin the league just saw lesmahagow Sunday team have been accepted think they have only been going for a few seasons aswel !!

And they wonder why teams are folding in their league every season when they accept any Tom, Dick or Harry?

Played no mind games at all, I don’t think anyone needs any motivation to beat us.

You would think we haven’t lost a game until now. The last 3 year we won 3 trebles that means we have went out of another 3 competitions each year. We do lose games you know.

At this stage last season we where in a worse position, I’m not worried at all. We will work hard to try and win trophies between now and the end of season. If we don’t we re group in the summer and go again.

We want to win every competition but I know through my experience how hard that is. We have lost 3 games to very good sides, the same as last season. I’m not worried at all trust so you don’t need to be

There's always a chance you could claw back the league but simply winning the league would need to be seen as a failure considering the squad you guys have got in my opinion. I think deep down you wouldn't be happy with that yourself but I could be wrong.

Anyway, all the best for Saturday. Hopefully try and get down to watch but the weather isn't looking great. We could maybe be looking at another wipeout which would leave this game stewing for another week :D

  5. Think Colville have tried to play mind games all season on here and it looks like biting them in the arse. They've only went and motivated everyone else.

Make no mistake if they lose on Saturday their season is over.

Is everyone looking forward to Oban joining the league?

Do you think other teams will start to follow from the SAFL?

Will the players fancy a jaunt every second week if they go up to the Premier and are struggling to break into the top half of the table for a couple of seasons? The grass isn't always greener, it's easier to keep boys interested when you are winning more often than not.

I hope it works out for them as they are a giant of the game but a lot of teams in the last decade or so have moved over and it's not worked out.

  7. It seems to me that Bannockburn have Colville slightly rattled for some reason and there's major mind games going on here :D

Need to try and get to the next game for sure.

No sure how u can base that argument tbh?

Not sure there is even any point to it either.

Nobody from either division will be worrying about teams from the other.

Just based on the last few posts about how anyone can beat anyone etc as if it's a really tough league. Competitive is probably the correct word to describe it.

Write both Third Lanark and Edu Sports off all you want, it's only November anything could happen!

Anything can happen...just don't lose a one off cup game by the sounds of it :D

Exactly, anything can happen but my point still stands. Bridgewater are on course for the top two as things stand. I'd rather be in their position than Third Lanark or Edu's that's for sure. A lot less margin for error in the second half of the season for those two teams.

They are a long way off being on course for a top 2 finish which they should be aiming for like every other team in the division, with teams like edu sport and fallin getting boys in the select team shows the quality  in their division

Personally I think it will between third lanark, edu sport and fallin for the top two

So Third Lanark (who are 10 points behind Bridgewater with 2 games in hand) and Edu Sports (who are 3 points behind them having played a game more) are on course to finish in the top 2 but Bridgewater aren't? Fantastic logic there mate.

I think what Crazy Feet was meaning was that St Pats didnt panic and get rid of manager after defeat in Scottish as shock results can hapen.

I doubt that Bridgewater have reacted to going out the west on sat, there decision may have been made on a variety of reasons.

I wonder if they have anyone lined up for the role? Strange one if they dont as things can get very messy very quickly if they dont have someone to come in.

Yes, that's what I meant. Don't know why it was misinterpreted, was a pretty easy post to follow :D

Easy to comment on the outside, Bridgewater have lost their way a bit this season, beaten off a team like Easthall Star who had ten men, not great for a team meant to be aiming for the central premier

They are on course for the top 2 in the league. So you're basing it on losing a one off cup game, were anything can happen and there are shocks all the time? You only need to look at the amount of big names already eliminated from the Scottish Cup for proof of this. St Pats sacking their manager for losing to an average Edinburgh side?

What divine right do Bridgewater have to be a ''Central Premier Team'' given what the manager inherited? They were chasing a manager on here for weeks/months and nobody was touching it with a bargepole.

    As I said, mental.

I believe this to be the best option it will be one committee for each region. It may mean the west of Scotland going back to 6 or 7 divisions, however it will have the better teams playing against each other after two or three years

If all the leagues merged, you could have a cup section at the start of the season to see what league you go into. Similar to what The Sunday Central League do, and in theory, the cream should rise to the top and you'll be in a league you can be competitive in.

There's not a simple answer though. It's complex.

You need to start from the root cause though which is a lack of numbers/interest which means you cut the number of teams and associations imo. There's far too many teams all in the one area fighting over the same small pool of players.

You have similar issues at Senior Level in Scotland as well, ie far too many professional clubs for a country of this size.
