  1. Mentioned it in the match thread but got to say again binning Robson in favour of Dixon was a desperately bad decision by the manager. Lost count of the times Dixon was asked to put crosses in (not 30 right enough!) and every one was a chronic effort. Could well be that the manager had other issues with Robson but from a playing point of view an attacking full back able to deliver dangerous crosses is exactly what we need in this division. Dixon will never be that type of player.
  2. It was a bad result and a bad performance caused mainly by the way the team was set up. Also the managers decision to punt Robson in favour of Dixon was shown to be a shocker every time a “cross” came in from our left back.
  3. I’ve been saying since relegation day that this season would be turgid. Well on the way to being proved correct already.
  4. That was guff, watching Dixon trying to put in a cross was painful.
  5. Neat and tidy but no penetration or width. Wee Tommy Robson would have been a real asset in this team.
  6. Away from the trivial matter of club ownership to the important question of the day. Are we still going to be using those horrible yellow balls this season?
  7. The John Park “story” is sensationalist dross. JP himself said at the fans meeting that he could not get involved until the deal is completed.
  8. Still convinced that this season will be turgid even if we do dominate. Will be good to get back to the games on a Saturday though.
  9. Not any plant disaster area / blast zone anymore and construction of the new training pitch is already well underway. Don’t see the Celtic feeder club thing ever being an option.
  10. Thought he looked more like this chappie. Also not believing for a minute that he is 46, looked about 60 .
  11. Falkirk is certainly a run of the mill town but to say we are "very much like Greenock"is a fucking outrage. The only other places in Scotland that are very much like Greenock are Port Glasgow and the whole of North Lanarkshire.
  12. The tax angle is the most obvious reason for relocating from the US I suppose.
  13. Having attended the meet and greet this morning it was interesting to hear that he backed away from the Sunderland deal and that he had declined the opportunity to get involved in rescuing Bolton. The attraction of Falkirk being that we are an under performing club with strong potential for growth on and off the park (hotel, hospitality etc) and are debt free. John Park spoke as well as you would expect about turning around the fortunes on the pitch though I thought the line about getting back to having wingers like Crunchie in the team a bit too patronising. He has yet to speak to the manager but it seemed pretty clear JP will have the final say on footballing matters. Still can't quite get my head around why this guy is going to leave his life in Manhatten to move to Edinburgh so he can be a hands on Chairman of a relatively small football club. Not yet convinced about this.
  14. Just been given a bottle of Glenfiddich IPA Cask. Anyone familiar with it?
  15. Was it f**k it was a thing of great beauty.
  16. Had this beauty as well. Sadly long gone to the great landfill in the sky.
  17. The question is can I buy our season tickets now with a clear conscience?
